Went here for a hole in one of my tires. They said they were unable to patch it and I would need to buy one new tire. I asked if I really only needed to purchase one tire, as I have always been told if you need one, you should buy two. The man working behind the counter said, "you only need one tire, why buy two when you dont need two?" I thought he was being honest, and I thanked him for his help. Fast forward to the car pulling aggressively in the direction of the "new" tire. I had 2 different alignments trying to fix it, but the last place I went said they did a full alignment and the car would still pull in the direction of the CarX tire. They put that tire on the right, it pulled right. Placed it on the left, it pulled left. I have asked CarX to replace the tire, it is less than a year old, but they said that there is no warranty on the tire and that I should have purchased an additional protection plan directly from them. I wasnt told about any protection plans. If additional protection plans are offered to me I usually inquire about any manufacturers warranties so that I can make an informed decision. They did not offer me any plans or mention the non-existence of any sort of manufacturer warranty. I am so disappointed with this CarX establishments service, their nasty attitude, and their obvious desire to lose a customer. Its sad, really. When I first went to this CarX for my tire the guy seemed like he was nice and being honest with me, I told my husband how great it was to have a mechanic nearby that we might actually be able to trust. HA. How wrong I was. When we tried to discuss what the first gentleman had said about the tire (needing only one), and that no one told us about the lack of a manufacturers warranty they said it was pointless getting into a "he said, She said" about it, "they werent interested." Unbelievable. I wish i could give negative stars.

Joe Simon and his team are great. I have used their services twice and they have been friendly, speedy and surprising. Surprising in that so many places treat the customer as a bother; not Joe. On one car a part of the muffler pipe came lose and was making a lot of noise. I brought it in since I had gotten the muffler from this Car-X. Joe had the car up in the garage and welding within minutes - and didnt charge me! Recently I had to purchase a whole exhaust system which Joe knew I was stressed about. Two weeks after the job he called to tell me he had a rebate offer that I could apply to the purchase. He went above and beyond. He had done the work and could have left it at that, but he didnt - he treats his customers well, building relationships and trust. Give them a try!

Rum Coke

This place charged me double what pep boys charges for the same service. They were rude and standoffish when I walked in too. If I did not need the fix immediately, I would have driven the extra distance to my usual place. Before getting any work done on your car, you should call around first to get a quote first. Mistake on my part for not doing this. Will never come here again.

Joe is great. Nice guy. Fair price. He replaced my battery. This review is just to say- they stopped doing emissions testing in October 16. He still gets like 30 calls a day for it. Gotta go to a state facility now.

very nice people and do a pretty good job, but for a 70 oil change youd think they could put air in your tires for you. especially when you pointed out that they need air when you dropped it off.

Nothing spectacular except that they do emissions testing which is even more important now that the state is closing their facilities in the Chicago area.

Manager tried to charge me $150 an hour for labor. Couldnt trust him with my car so i left. Try midas on ogden or Americas mufflers they where great.
