Went in for an oil change. My "check engine" light was on, so I asked if they would mind reading the diagnostic code for me... the technician told me that would cost $89, on top of the price of the oil change. I didnt get upset at first... figured this was some BS the management had told him to do... just asked him nicely if we could negotiate something more reasonable... the gentleman behind the counter just smirked at me and said "No we cant". I shrugged, drove over to the Jiffy Lube down the street, and got my code read for free (got my oil changed there as well). Now I just moved to the neighborhood, and I happen to live right around the corner from this establishment. Needless to say I wont be setting foot in there again. So I figure that this little exercise in customer service will end up costing them a couple of hundred dollars in lost business...

I went here to get my tires rotated and balanced as I wanted to give Pep Boys one more chance after having a terrible experience at the Bucktown location. I will say they kept my business and more. The service was awesome and they got my car in and out in no time. They were honest with me and not intimidated by my vintage Porsche. Both the manager and assistant manager asked me if I was satisfied with their work, and of course I was. I highly recommend this location.

Bad service . employees with bad attitude.this location it shouldnt be Pepboyes.icalled over 6 times before they answered then when i went ther i asked him what did u change parts he answered yr total is $560 then i asked him again then he answered with attitude like he dont wanna explain. Dont take yr car there i dont trust these location

Great friendly service! The gentlemen were so nice, and checked out my brakes and everything I was concerned about while I was in for an oil change. Took a little longer than I thought it would, but not excessive. Will probably come back if I am in chicago again.

Mike the service manager helped me out and was his customer service was awesome I walked out with a scheduled appointment and had my car serviced. Great service performed on the vehicle. Its nice to walk in and feel helped.

They saved the day for me. Had to have a new tire mounted on a loose rim. Took care of me, no questions asked. Charged me 20 bucks, and they were open on Sunday.

Dont bother makin an appointment, they never keep it. And hour and 30 min for 25 min old change.. ugh jiffy lube here i come :(
