If I could give them zero stars I would. This Car-X was the worst auto shop Ive ever requested service from. I live in Indianapolis and was stranded in Illinios for two days while they "worked" on my car. Was overcharged for labor and ended up having to pay over $800 which is double than the actual cost. On top of that my car ended up breaking down TWICE in one month since leaving their auto shop. When calling them back about the poor service I talked to the managers "cousin". Pretty odd when the cousin sounded exactly the same, used the same phrases, and new everything about my car without me ever meeting him. The mechanic that worked on my car was Christian and therefore makes me believe this cousin was a fake cover-up for their horrible work. Needless to say, but their service is awful and will pinch you for all the money you have. NEVER go to this Car-X!

Weve been long time customers at this shop. We had the worst experiences at Rosen Honda with our Element including them fixing someone elses Element and not doing the correct work on ours but giving us the other persons invoice. Our car ended up going down the driveway and crashed into a neighbors house. The issue? Brakes they supposedly replaced. They did replace them... on the other persons car. After that I researched other shops in the area I chose CarX. I cant imagine taking our vehicles anywhere else. We now have a minivan that Ron and his team have done amazing things with. Im sure with everything weve had done to it we would have paid twice the amount elsewhere. Honestly, its not about the cost of repairs, its the way we get treated. Its priceless.

Ive been a long time customer with this CarX location. The mechanics there are excellent at their job. They stand by their work & keep you informed as to possible problems that could be taken care of to prevent a future repair. I have 3 vehicles right now & CarX is the only shop that I trust to work on them. My son & daughters take their vehicles there too. They are quick to diagnose problems & get the work done in a timely manner. They have a group that has been in this type of mechanic repairs that have years of experience & a new manager that takes the time to explain everything to the customer. My boyfriend and I had an AWFUL experience. We thought that Ron was "taking care of us". Instead of installing a throttle body in a Ford Focus within 30 minutes, it took two days stranded in IL. After two days, we left IL to head back to Indy. SAME problem happened and we were stranded on the side of the road. Called Ron, he claimed that it was normal for that to happen. Kept happening... Ended up having to take it in again, this time to the CarX in Plainfield (closer to where I live). Turns out, Ron and the Waukegan branch FALSELY CHARGED us over $400. I will NEVER take my car back to RON or to the WAUKEGAN branch!

I came in for an oil change and the Manager Ron was at the desk. He greeted me, gave me the ETA for my vehicle to be completed and took the time to listen to me about my horrible past experience with my prior mechanic. He offered solutions that Car-X offers and put a personal touch on the conversation. He actually cared about my car problems and wanted to offer every resource to help me fix my problem. I took my car here after Pepboys did a terrible job "fixing" my car. The customer service was excellent and they were fast about fixing my car too. The price was much better than the inflated prices at Pepboys. When I told them I needed an oil change and new windshield wiper blades they gave me their prices. Turns out the oil change is cheaper than at Jiffy Lube and the windshield wipers are cheaper than Autozone. I was especially impressed by the General manager Ron and a mechanic Sakit. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their car fixed.

I initially visited this location because I was having issues with my breaks. While waiting on my repairs to be complete, I was impressed with Rons interaction with customers. He knew many of them by name and was familiar with their vehicle. This indicated a great deal of trust and confidence between Ron and the customers. Additionally, repairs to my car were made quickly and correctly. Since my initial visit, I have returned numerous times to find fast, honest and reliable service. I will be a customer for years to come.

I really enjoyed my last visit at Car X. I went in for a standard Oil Change. The Manager gave me so much info about my car that no other employee has taken the time to do. The old person at the front desk has no knowledge on cars and no idea of what the customer needs. He changed the oil in my old car to synthetic which I never asked for. After a few hundred miles the oil started cleaning up the gunk and its all black now. I would stay away from this garage - highly dont recommend.

Had to go back four times, after the initial brake pads, drum replacement and my car still squeals every time I use the brakes.And to make the matters worse, my car under-body makes all kind of metal noises, even though i have complained about it and they "checked" it.
