I hired them to clear a blocked bathtub drain. Refused to quote a price over the phone, technician arrived at my house and quoted me $200. Way more than it should have been but I went ahead with it because I had standing water in my tub. Also they charge "by the job." The technician failed to clear the clog, then demanded payment because he said he "had to collect something." I paid him $100 to get him out of my house and figured that I would talk to his supervisor on monday to get everything straightened out. Then I spent the rest of the day doing the job that he had been paid to do. I called 4 times over the course of the next week, every time the office manager Beth promised I would get a call from a supervisor, which i never did. Avoid this company at all costs. The really disturbing thing is looking at the other reviews hear on google. It is obvious that some of them are fake, and others are questionable. Here is what I found, look for yourself: Oren Powell: lives in Pensacola, Florida and has reviews all over the content for random services, including 4 Mr. Rooter Locations (owning houses in California, Indiana, Georgia and Florida and having plumbing work done on all of them is pretty good for someone attending a junior college) Oren also apparently likes to order awards and plaques. Oceana Walters: also apparently owns houses in multiple states and has had plumbing work done on all of them. She also enjoys buying trophies and gave a collection agency 5 stars. (what real person actually rates collection agencies?) Rachel Downey may be a real person, but the profile photo for this account is the logo for a company called Stringcan. String can according to their webiste is a social media and lead-generation service based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Coincidence? Rachel Tague. This plumbing company wouldn’t tell their employees to write fake reviews would they? It looks like there is a Rachel Tague who works for Mr. Rooter of Indiana according to Linkedin So if a 3rd of the reviews are faked (possibly more), draw your own conclusions about this company.

STAY AWAY. THIS PLACE IS A RIP-OFF. I am not impressed with this place. Let me describe my experience. I own a home in Indianapolis and my tenant rents from me and called this place for a backed-up sink/ garbage disposal. The technician called me on my cell to tell me the copper is worn out (bs) and the pipe was sloping the wrong direction (also bs). The house was built in the 50s and I lived in it for 8 yrs and the pipe always sloped the right direction to drain, but on this day, it didnt. Im several states away and had no choice, but to let them do the work as this was about 2 days before Christmas and my tenant would not have been happy with a backed-up sink. They assured me they do not charge more because its the holidays. Come to find out, they overcharge all the time. I had no choice. It was $1100 and I paid by credit card over the phone. Two weeks later, I still hadnt received my receipt. The manager, who is very friendly, attempted to email it and fax it and on my 3rd call back to them, I finally received it. Already feeling taken, the bill confirmed my thought. The $1000 was to replace "up to 5 feet of drain line" and they stuck a 3 yr membership plan on their as well that was never explained to me. I GUESS THEIR GOING RATE IS ABOUT $220 PER FOOT OF PLUMBING. I called the manager back (again shes friendly and I know this isnt her fault, but really not helpful) to voice my thoughts. She was sympathetic and seemed like she wanted to make it right and promised to call back in a day or so. That was approximately 2 weeks ago. I will never use this place if they are the last plumber in Indy.

Mr. Rooter is the "rock star" of plumbing companies in my book. I recently had a situation where after being away for a few days, I came home to standing water in my finished basement. You can imagine the stress levels in our home went thru the roof. It was a Sunday evening, and we were just sure we would have to wait a couple days to get our problem resolved. Not with Mr. Rooter. They dispatched an expert out to the house right away- who immediately diagnosed the problem, and put into action a comprehensive plan to not only stop the water leak, but to correct the problem for good. They were fantastic- great to work with- very professional, neat, courteous, and really bailed us out of a jam. I highly recommend them. Ray Hilbert

IF YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF - CALL MR. ROOTER. $325 to install a $18 outdoor spigot. This just screws into a pipe in a huge crawl space 1 ft off the basement. I just had better things to be doing (i thought.) I paid him his $89.00 I had to sign for before he even looked at anything and told him to GET OUT! He snapped a picture on his phone and sent it to his supervisor. Cant believe this is what passes for a plumber these days. An hour later I had it fixed for 17.50 + tax.

I definitely recommend Mr. Rooter! Everyone was so polite and helpful in finding a solution to my plumbing issues. The job was not necessarily an easy one but Mr. Rooter and Mike got it done. Mike was awesome! He was very kind, knowledgeable and professional! He explained everything to me and ensured the job got done in a timely manner. I am thankful I choose the right company to work with. Thank you Mike and Mr. Rooter for a job well done!

My entire experience was great. Our technician, Bill, was wonderful. He was friendly. He was fast. He left everything cleaned up and tidy like hed never even been there. Also, everyone on the phone before Bill came over was great too though I cant remember their names. From start to finish it was a superb project. Ill be using Rooter for any and all future plumbing needs.

The plumbers were very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about what they were talking about. They told me exactly what I needed done and worked with me and my finances. I had to have my sewer line replaced and they were in and out in a day, with the job done correctly and inspected. The ladies at the office are super friendly as well and professional.

Given an estimate of $200-400 over the phone for installation of a pump. 2 plumbers showed up later that day (prompt!) telling me that minimum was $700 and that was a bargain. Sent them packing. Got it done later that day for $275 from another plumber. These guys are expensive and sneaky on pricing.

These guys have been taking care of my Restaurant for about two years and they are fantastic, They come out very quickly and fix whatever plumbing issues we had. There staff is friendly and courteous and CLEAN. They also clean up behind themselves which is a huge improvement over our last plumer.

This is the best experience I have had with any repair company. From the office staff to the plumbers they all were extremely helpful and went above and beyond expectations to result my slab leak and did it all cheaper then any of their competitors quoted it would cost.
