I needed a complete windows 7 re-installed. I provided The Tech Stop with MY windows CD and MY windows product key#. When I got my PC home I noticed right away they had installed their own copy of Windows and used their own product key# which caused this copy of Windows to show up on my PC as a counterfeit copy of Windows. Also my sound card no longer worked and the Ethernet card was bad and both had to be replaced. Both my sound card and Ethernet card worked perfectly before The Tech Stop serviced my PC. Both were a few years old but BOTH died on the same day???? I dont know about that. No way to prove both were working before I brought them in and both are kinda cheap parts so no big deal. A good excuse to upgrade. As far as the Windows counterfeit,Tech Stop informed me that is what happens if you buy the Upgrade version of Windows, which I had done, and try to re-install it as a fresh install. And to resolve this problem I would have to contact Microsoft or just buy a new version of Windows. Not knowing any better, I believed them. After hours on the phone with Microsoft I got my problem solved. Microsoft had to get The Tech Stops bad product key# out of my PC and a new one in. Microsoft tech support was confused as to why the Tech Stop didnt use MY Windows CD and Windows Product Key#, which I provided them, and used their own. The Microsoft guy kept saying over and over, "I cant believe they installed a OEM on your PC". I dont know what that means but thats what he kept saying. Microsoft said that was the problem and that The Tech Stop should have never used their own product key like they did. Im not a tech guy so I dont know... Who am I to believe? A 20 year-old kid that works at a pc repair shop or a Microsoft Certified Support Technician?

Once again, The Tech Stop did an excellent job fixing my computer. Better yet, they did that excellent job at a very reasonable price. They always seem to be able to find and solve the problem very quickly. The staff went out of their way to get my computer back to me when I couldnt make it to the store during regular business hours. Im not saying that they will (or should) do that for every customer, but this is just another example of how great The Tech Stop is. Thanks!

Dropped off my HP tower at Tech Stop. Received a prompt call back that afternoon with the estimate. I then discovered repairs were under warranty. Tech Stop was very patient over the next several weeks while I worked things out with HP for repairs. Never pushy, never trying to upsell. Happy to go back to them when my next computer issue happens.

I am super satisfied with this company! Over the years, they have saved me many times from crashed hard drives and other computer problems. The cost of repairs is very reasonable and the turnaround to complete them is also very good. If you need someone you can trust in the computer business - the TechStop is that company.
