After bringing my car to this location for several years, Ive recently become very disappointed with their quality assurance. During each of my last two trips in I was making use of my road hazard protection to replace flats. They were very willing to get the work done - no hassles at all. So far so good. I also asked them to give me a price quote on some other mechanical work I expected Id need in the near future. Certainly, no problems. After three hours (for A tire and an estimate for work needed) I got the quote and was ready to leave. As I walked out to my car I was shocked to see that the spare tire was still on my car. I was dumbfounded as to how the ONE service for which I had asked was not completed. I can understand that occasionally something might be over looked on a large or complex service order, but missing - change the tire? Im even willing to forgive one screw up, but ladies and gentlemen, this was the second car within six weeks to experience the same issue. Thats right, Id brought another car in with a flat only to have the "completed" car returned to me with the spare still on the car! Im disappointed, but even more so, Im worried. What if this had been a crucial safety system that had been left disconnected? Something I wouldnt have seen until it was too late. While the service advisors have always been very polite and helpful, Im afraid Ill have to give Firestones service department below average marks. I hope they can get on top of these issues quickly because in many ways, Ive been very satisfied with this dealer.

These guys are totally undependable! I received authorization from Enterprise car rental to replace a tire on the SUV rental. I was in town for the weekend, experienced a flat on the drive from Indy, and a large snow storm was expected (which was why I rented the 4-wheel drive vehicle). On Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, Juan told me that they could not get a PO number from Enterprise until Monday. I contacted Enterprise Emergency Road care, conference called Juan into the call, and listened as they authorized the replacement of the tire and provided him with a PO number to use. After 4 hours, Juan explained that they had repaired the tire because he would not be paid for a replacement. I reminded him that I would be driving several hundred miles, in a snow storm, alone, and he assured me that the patch would hold. I woke up the next morning to the same tire losing air. I called Firestone to ask for help. I spoke with Leon, who was curt and rude. He refused to speak with Road Side assistance at Enterprise and stated that there are only 3 people in the Enterprise organization that can provide authorization for a tire replacement. Not only did these men provide substandard work, they also were very comfortable with placing me in harms way. I would not recommend this store for any type of service. I ended up going to Goodyear in Valpariso and received excellent service.

I needed to stop here on the way home due to a leak in my passenger side tire. I was coming from Chicago with seven more hours to go before Im home. I called in advance to make sure they had my tire, which they did have. I asked how long my tire swap would take and it was estimated to take an hour or less. I have been in town for over two hours for ONE tire to be changed and still isnt done. Thought I would let you all know not to stop here if you have things to do.

Scheduled appointment through online Firestone, but it didnt coordinate with the Merrillville shop. Went in and Gary was great, they didnt have the tires I priced in stock so he gave me a good deal on some better tires and worked me into the schedule. He said it would be late afternoon but they were able to get it done earlier. I am very pleased with the service, excellent customer service, and clean facility. Highly recommended!

Great Service! All Professional. Needed wheel alignment and oil change. No appointment slots available but They offered to "squeeze" me in if I dropped my car off. All work done ! I recommend purchasing lifetime wheel alignment for the extra $ , especially if you have AWD! Its worth the $ and Firestone shops are conveniently located all over!!!!

Had a scheduled appointment for three days prior and i showed up and had to wait almost 3 hours for my oil change and not to mention they said they rotated my tires but never did horrible service they pulled other cars in that showed up long after i did and i had to question the manager to even get my service started 2 hours in

Had confirmed appointment for tire rotation and wheel alignment at 1pm, and car didnt even MOVE into work area until 2:30pm. Ridiculous. Had similar experience with previous scheduled oil change Lame excuses from gentlemen at service desk. Why even allow customers to schedule an appointment???

Brake line was leaking. Waited two hours for car to be inspected. Came back and said it will cost me over $500 to repair a leaking brake line. Took my car to another mechanic and had same work done for $85. Unless you like overspending for car repairs stay away from this place.

Outstanding speed and service. I was traveling from PA to IA and my starter went out. I called them right before they opened at 7 am to let them know the tow truck driver had dropped my car off and they had the starter replaced and my car ready to go by 10:00 am.

I went into Firestone at 7:00, there was only one car in front of the shop. The cashier told me they couldnt do an oil change tonight and that I needed to make an appointment. Been coming here for a couple months now, but I doubt i will be going back

Expensive wanted 28.50 + tax for a tire patch also said it would need to be rebalanced the patch is like less than a gram I got rocks in my tread that weighs more than that. I would not waste my money here!!!
