Vehicle-2005 F-150 5.4 Triton motor Reason for service: 100,000 mile tune up 4-18 Talked to Tom asked worst case scenario. “What it would cost to change spark plugs?” He said “A little over $700.00.” 4-24 Dropped off truck. Later Monday Tom called “broke a plug might have to drill and tap the head and put an insert in the head.” 4-26 Tom called said “the threads were wrong on the inside of the insert.” They were going to send them to the machine shop to fix the threads. 4-28 Tom called said the insert they sent to the machine shop wont work threads are to sloppy. But had a new set they got today that would work. I said “GREAT, I will have my truck back by Monday”. Tom said “Yes.” Tom called back about 5 p.m. on Friday asked why I brought my truck in. Was it running bad? I said “no”. “100,000 mile tune up”. He said, “Ok”. 5-1 Tom called and said they have to pull the head, it is busted. It was not busted when I bought it in! 5-7 Truck finally done. It cost me $2800.00 to change 8 spark plugs!!!!!

A lot of people give shops bad reviews so I want to put something out here. I am mechanically inclined myself, and always do my own troubleshooting and work myself. The few times Ive taken a vehicle to a shop it has been because I didnt have the tools needed to do the job. Adams has treated me well any time I did need a shop. They have always been reasonable and listened to what I had to say, unlike a few other shops Ive tried. If I drop off a car and tell them the issue, they listen and value my opinion as I do theirs. Modern autos are very complex systems. Sometimes what you think is the problem is not the problem at all, only another symptom of some deeper issue, so troubleshooting can be difficult and time consuming. Of the garages Ive been to, Adams has been the best.

Getting Mad

I took my 06 Fusion into the shop on 04/22/2016 because it made a noise when turning, and I needed a ride back home while the work was being done. They checked it out and told me the tie rod I suspected was in good shape, but my passenger CV axle assembly was bad and could be dangerous. I reluctantly let them change it even though they had to keep the old part for a core and I couldnt inspect the damage. When I picked up my car and drove it home it had the exact same noise as before. I looked back at my maintenance records and realized Ford had already replaced the exact same part just over a year ago when my wife took it in. So I got scammed out of $255 to fix nothing! If you dont have a real problem, they will find one. Wont go back!

I was traveling back from NJ to MO with my 2 kids and my sister when my van went dead at 75 mph. We got to the side of the road and called my husband in Missouri. He found Adams Garage and explained our situation. AAA sent out a tow truck and Adams came and picked us up off the side of I70. From the time we broke down to the time we were back on the road was 4 hours! That includes the hour it took for us to wait for the tow truck, Adams sat on the side of the road with us until the tow came. We were so blessed to have come across this shop. I must add that even knowing we were stranded 6 hours from home they did not take advantage of the situation. The work was fast and priced fair.

I have a Saturn sc1 that needed the water pump replaced. Called and got a qoute and was able to make an appointment for the next morning. They said itd take about 2.5 hrs and it ended up taking just under an 1.5hrs. Paid the qouted price. Good phone customer service. Cars running good at this point. Id recommend this place. Ive been to another place in Terre Haute and they pointed out every little thing that was wrong with my car down to my couple months old wiper blades and tried to talk me into getting everything fixed. Adams didnt do that. Pretty straight forward.

I have been taking my vehicles to Adams Garage for several years. While I know repairs can be expensive, I believe that they provide the most reasonable rates in town. They also know what they are doing and while they may tell you about other services needed, I have never felt pressured into doing something that I dont want to do. I recently recommended this shop to a co-worker and was told that Adams treated her just like they have always treated me. Anytime someone asks where I take my vehicles for service, Adams is always the answer.

We just dropped off our car on a Sunday without talking to.anyone after my daughters brakes.starting acting up. Shes a student at indiana.state. Called monday and both Tom and Zach were kind helpful and informative. They not only returned my calls quickly they also got her car done in one day. My daughter says shell bring it back to Adams no matter where she lives after graduation. Great job you are appreciated. I see why you have been in business for so long

I am a college student at indiana state and Ive been taking my cars to adams for the past two years. They are all very friendly. They diagnose and talk with you about your options and understand when you have budget issues, and have no problem waiting to do the work till you can find the money. They also offer you a ride if you drop off or are picking up your vehicle. They are usually very quick on feedback as well! Keep up the good work!!

Best in the Wabash Valley!! No.....Best in the tri-state area!! Reasonable; Fair; Courteous (listens while you tell them your problem). How good can your get?! Would recommend/refer Adams Garage to friend or foe, in fact I have many times. My whole family goes to Adams when car problems crop-up. That comes to nine(9) vehicles!! They always thank you for your business. Shucks.....I thank them for being here!

Great work! Had oil change and air conditioner go out in car. Adams diagnosed, contacted with options, replaced the compressor in same day. Great service! Affordable quality work and provide a great service with dropping car off and driving to work and picking me back up to get my vehicle. Would highly recommend to all!

Less than impressed. My fiance has taken his car there twice in the past two weeks, spent $650, and the problem still isnt fixed. I dont know if theyre trying to weasel us or what. We went there because of all the good reviews but we wont be back.

All-Tran Transmission Service

Adams Garage is a great place with friendly staff. Tom (the Manager) is very nice and really listens to your concerns. If I dont have time to do repairs on my wifes car, this is one of the places I trust to provide quality service.
