I brought my car in for an oil change because I fell for one of the coupons they mailed to me. They quoted me a few things that I needed, I politely declined and said all I needed today was the oil change. When I left the shop, I noticed the car had a new "shake" to it that it did not have before. This shake was constant, even while idling. Being too late in the day, I did not have a chance to go back. I took my car back the next morning, and was told that my car had a shake because my car needed alignment and I had a bent rim, and a new ones would be approximately $2500??? That would make sense if A) it had happened before I came in possibly due to a wreck or running over something and B) if it did not still do it while IDLING. I took my car to an independently owned mechanics shop in town and told them my story. They agreed to check my car over. It took them 2 full days to find the piece of metal that was shoved between the transmission and the frame of my car, causing the shake. They removed the metal piece, no more shake. Now I invite you to think about this situation for yourself...The metal was not a piece or part from my car. How did it get there? How convenient would it be for someone at Firestone to put it there and then remove it when I brought the car back and tell me they fixed it? I ran into a high ranking Bridgestone/Firestone executive at the hockey arena and told him the details of my story and asked him what he thought about the possibility of sabotage. His response, "Im not surprised." Well, there you go. I would take my money elsewhere. I promise you they wont get another penny from me, my husband, or my immediate family, or anyone else that I come in contact in my life that will listen to my story.

Stopped by today to have a tire plugged. Was informed a rock went through one of their tires on my truck. (I purchased the tires there and bought the warranty) I was informed that the gash was to big and that the tire needed to be replaced. Then I was told that my tires (which are under warranty) were no longer available and would have to replaced by the only tire available... which looked like it should be on a lawnmower... not a truck. I was told that they recommended replacing all four since they were significantly different. For a cost of $155 I would get brand new tires that I wouldnt pay a dime for. Then I asked them to put the spare on till I decided what I was going to do... I was informed by the service tech that he didnt feel comfortable putting my spare on because I was certain to have a blow out (with the condition of my spare). I again asked him to put it on.... then he went to get his manager who told me "We arent going to be responsible when this thing blows". I laughed and asked them again to put the spare on. I finally left Firestone with my spare on. (Which they didnt put air in) After stopping for air ... I drove to Discount Tires on Gallatin rd... I took the tire to them and just asked if they could take a look at it. At this point I was more than happy to have all tires replaced and pay whatever the cost as long as I didnt have to deal with Firestone again. The service tech took a look at it and in 15 minutes they had my tire plugged and did it at NO COST. The service tech even offered to put the tire back on my truck... AGAIN AT NO COST. Even though they had no relationship with me as a customer. Long story short I will never go back to Firestone and will now do business with Discount Tires.

Bait & Switch and Deceptive business tactics. I had a check engine light that I read with a $40 code reader that I own. I needed an O2 sensor replaced. I called and was quoted a price of $200. I showed up the next week at 7 am when the store opened and told the clerk that I needed the Downstream O2 Sensor replaced and that I already knew the code status. 2 hours later, I was told that the O2 Sensor had failed, my plug wires were shot and I had an oil leak. I just had the wires changed less that a year ago, and I change my own oil so I know the leak was BS. Then I was told it would be $300 to replace the O2 sensor, $99 for the computer check. Who the hell told you to put it on the computer? If I come in for an oil change that I know needs done, do you test the oil and bill clients $99? How about low air in a tire? "We checked the gauge and youre right, thats $99." AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS! They take advantage of inexperienced people who know nothing about cars.

Ive been going here for years but today was a bad day. I spent $1000 on tires last year and purchased a lifetime alignment. Today I came in with a coupon for an oil change and was told to hold it until I paid. They were aligning and rotating the tires. They asked me if I was waiting there and I said yes. I was the only customer waiting there for most of the time. I assumed they asked out of consideration for my time. After an hour I saw my car driven past. I thought it was done but they were just bringing it into the garage. An hour later when I paid, they charged me $9 extra for a filter. They should have let me decide if I wanted to make arrangements to be picked up or come back another time and they should have told me about the extra $9 when I first showed the coupon. I told the guy who rang me up and he said hed "mention it to the guys". What does that mean?

I took my car in to have my alternator repaired. I told the attendant what I found wrong with it (disconnected alternator cable due to corrosion)...I guess he was too busy checking me out and flirting with me to accurately notate what I was describing to him. I was charged to do a diagnostic check (for what?! I knew what the problem was! It was obvious even to someone who knows very minimal about cars) and charged to have the battery replaced. They never once looked at the alternator AND they didnt call and confirm before they made the repair. When I picked it up, it was moments before close. In conclusion, I paid over $200 for them to replace my battery (which I could have done MYSELF) only for it to go bad again because they didnt fix what I had stated was wrong with the car. Id recommend you go here if you really like being hit on and your needs ignored.

Be careful if your car takes 6 qts of oil dont take it over there. Ive been going to that place since I moved to Hermitage, buying tires, oils changes, etc.... but the last time, a week and a half after, I checked the oil and it was way down. I though I had a major leak, so I called my mechanic. He advised me to buy 2 qts and put it in, and He also told me that several places dont put 6 qts in, some others dont even change the oil. I was really upset, because you trust in this places. Anyway, Ive been checking the oil regularly to see if it was a major leak: None. The oil is fine. So they didnt put the 6 quarts in it, but of course they charged me for it. Sad, because the people in the front office area great, so I wont go back... watch it....!!!
