When the battery light in my truck came on I went online and looked for the shop with the highest reviews in the area. The more reviews the better. After reading reviews of multiple businesses, I went over the negative reviews to make sure they werent assigning "one star" for silly reasons. Many of them were. Many seemed legit. In the end the strongest reviews led me to AutoChoice. I told them on the phone the battery was dead and when I attempted to drive it to the shop, even though its a manual transmission, the engine stopped pulling in all gears. They said it could be the alternator but might also involve the transmission. After a tow truck dropped it off, they looked at my truck and confirmed the 18 year old alternator needed replacing. I searched alternator replacement for my truck year and model and their price was right at the bottom end, the less expensive range. I was surprised how fair it was. I gave them the go-ahead to do the work and they told me it would take two days to get the alternator in, install it, and test the transmission. After only 24 hours they called me and told me the work was done, the transmission was fine, and I could come and pick it up right then and there. Very good news. Done a day early and they did not try to sell me any extra work. Glad to have found what looks to be a reliable shop with excellent prices.

Id give them 6 out of 5 stars if I could. After a poor experience with two of their competitors, I decided to trust the Google reviews and check these guys out. Theyre great, just absolutely great. Im fairly new to Btown and I had some serious (really bad) issues with my trucks engine, and had been given misinformation at two other locations on what the issue was. These guys were straight forward. They diagnosed the problem quickly and spelled it out for me. Their prices were very reasonable. However, due to a warranty situation, I had to do the work at the dealership. Get this, these guys refused to charge me for the analysis! They also went ahead and fixed one of the minor issues I was having for no charge either. They figured given all the issues with the truck, they would at least help me out. When is the last time you heard of service like that? Seriously, you wont be disappointed with these folks!

what these people are telling you is absolutely right and if you have any problem go see these guys. I had a small problem this past break and I had to wait two days for an appointment. let me tell you this. if you have to wait two days to get an appointment for your car in a college town during the break when no ones here, you know the place is well worth going. and I was right with it. the mechanics are true professionals and everyone is really helpful and kind. also, the price is very very reasonable for the level of service you are going to receive. I beg you not to go somewhere else. Ive had awful lot of horrible experiences elsewhere and you dont have to do it now that you know this place. another thing is like some people mentioned below, theyll show you what is wrong with the car in detailed and understandable manner. no one ever told me what was really wrong with my car before!

Great experience at AutoChoice! Would recommend to anyone! When my daughters car died along the road, I had no idea where to have it towed. A Google search showed that AutoChoice had good reviews/rating, so I gave them a call. They have a contract with a local towing company, which made the towing experience stress/hassle free. FIRST PLUS in my book. Upon assessment of the car they determined the issues, and talked through all of them with me before proceeding. SECOND PLUS in my book. As a woman, I admit that I am intimidated with car issues, I always worry that I am being taken advantage of or the dreadful being talked down to. NEITHER were the case with AutoChoice, they were respectful, and understanding of my many questions. Definitely a good experience, and will definitely use them for any future auto repairs that I may require and will recommend them to anyone.

I took my car in last fall because three other facilities told me that my tie rods were about to fail and needed to be replaced. I was ready to pay for this repair, but these guys did a thorough inspection and truthfully informed me that I did not need new tie rods for a while. They took the car out twice for a drive, put it up on the lift and looked at it, and didnt even try to charge me for their time. More recently, my engine started running loud, and I took it in to the guys at Auto Choice. They quickly located the source of the noise, a broken pipe up near the engine and a faulty engine mount. They were very straightforward about the costs, and they got the job done in two days even though they had to customize a part at the machine shop. There may be places that are a little cheaper, but I think these guys give fantastic service at a fair price. Invoice 21229

ATTENTION YOUNG COLLEGE WOMEN: AutoChoice Service Center in Bloomington was absolutely wonderful. As a young blonde woman, I commonly receive sexist and degrading comments when trying to get car work done. HOWEVER the men who work at AutoChoice were completely fantastic to me and my car! They were 100% professional and respectful. They acknowledged my comments about what I thought was wrong with the vehicle, and let me know what I indeed thought was wrong was the problem. They charged me a fair price, didnt take advantage of my lack of detailed car knowledge, and gave me tips and advice for things to do for my car in the upcoming future. My car was fully serviced and returned to me within 24 hours, for work that other shops told me would take days to do. ALSO - I received free chocolate mints, and a flashlight keychain. I highly recommend them for any car repair!!!!

I just had an excellent experience with Auto Choice; a friend recommended them to me, and I highly recommend them to anyone else. Ill be heading back to Auto Choice for any future service because of their honesty and willingness to explain. My pickup had been having some transmission problems. They immediately found what appeared to be the problem, and addressed it in a timely and affordable way. When I picked it up, I noticed it was still not working properly, so I headed back to the shop. They immediately worked to diagnose the problem, and with the additional information I was able to provide, were able to isolate the real problem and quickly resolve it. The staff was friendly and professional throughout the entire exchange, and their willingness to be open and discuss the options with me up front gave me tremendous confidence in their abilities.

We went to view a used car today in Bloomington and thought it would be a great idea to have a mechanic check out the car to make sure that everything was in good order. Well, being from out of town I read reviews for the surrounding auto places on google and found that AutoChoice seemed to be a nice place. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly mechanic who had an excellent knowledge in his field. He was more than happy to inspect in detail the used car we had brought. He was very nice and explained everything to us personally and in detail. It was by far the best experience I have ever had at an auto place. I only wish we had a place to go to as great, reliable, and as trustworthy as this closer to home. If you ever go there and they are busy, it would definitely be worth the wait. Cant say enough good things about this place!
