Mark Merfeld is a life-saver! He was so generous to help me on Christmas Eve as we were visiting relatives in Dubuque for the holiday. At about 2pm my truck started having problems so I called him to see if he could get me in. He said to come in right away and he would take a look at it for me. Who does that on Christmas Eve? He ordered the parts needed that day and I was up and running again in no time at all. My family uses the Merfeld Brothers for all of their automotive needs. They always give them honest diagnostics on what is wrong and dont overcharge for anything. Its nice to know there are still businesses like this around. I will be happy to drive from Waterloo to have work done in Dubuque by these guys. Thanks so much Mark!

Merfeld Brothers Automotive is by far the best mechanic Ive ever used. They are fast, knowledgeable and more often than not cost less than I think it well. I highly recommend them. If I ever leave Dubuque they are one of things Ill miss the most, its so hard finding a good mechanic.

Good, honest, hardworking guys. My truck had random missing at heavy loads, so I took it in. They had it fixed sooner than estimated, at about the price I expected, and the truck runs great. Ill be going back. Its a family operation, wish there were more around.

You can trust you are getting an honest answer. They will give it to you straight and not beat around the bush! If something is necessary youll know about it and if not, youll know that too. They can get you in quickly and get the work done in a timely manner.

As someone who doesnt know much about cars and car repair, finding a mechanic I can trust is incredibly important to me. The Merfeld Brothers have been the shop I rely on exclusively for the past few years--they have consistently earned my trust and my business.

Good people to work with. My son goes to school in Dubuque and I live 600 miles away and they took good care of my sons car. They did a good job and did it right the first time. Price was very reasonable and workmanship was excellent.

Good guys. Had work done here a couple of times. Theyre honest, fast, good workers. They wont do anything to your car that doesnt need to be done, and they wont hassle you about things if you decide to wait to get it fixed later
