Went in today, on my lunch, due to a service light and an abs light that came on late last night. I was hoping to get it ran through a code reader to confirm my suspicions of a faulty ABS sensor. All of which takes 2 minutes. The staff member Alex was very rude in not greeting me when I came in to the store or acknowledging me as I stood there. At the time it looked as though he was finishing a ticket and informing the owner of the vehicle. In the 10 minutes that I stood there three employees that walked by me and said nothing nor offered to help. When Alex was finally through stapling all his papers and typing on the computer he finally decided to look up and acknowledge me. I asked to have a reader hooked up and was told that there was no one who could do it. (I can do it so please dont tell me Alex could not step outside and hook the reader up) He did not offer to schedule at time to do this or offer an alternative solution he just went back to shuffling papers. I have been a firestone customer for longer than I can remember my father used to work for them. Over the last few years this company has done nothing but lose integrity. There is no customer service and shabby work. I read a quote on the wall about honesty today while waiting for someone to help me and laughed out loud due to the fact that the last firestone I went into tried to tell me my water pump was going out but when I got a second look there were no over heating issues or noticeable leaks. They charged me for some sort of sealant that cost a 150 dollars on top of the tires I had bought. There was no evidence or work done. I have finally paid off my card and will be closing my firestone account and never going back. This company is nothing but an over priced joke.

Unbelievably POOR service! I had an issue with lug nuts left loose on the front of my Honda. GOOD THING I was driving and not my wife. I contacted the store manager and left him a message after I found out. When he called back I missed his call. I did call him back but never heard from him again. What is worse I contacted customer service for Firestone/Bridgestone and they told me twice that a regional manager would call. I waited...and waited...no call. THEN after that person didnt call I was told that someone from the corporate office would call. I am STILL waiting for that call and its been almost a month later now! Obviously this company doesnt care one bit about their customers safety and/or their satisfaction! SHOCKING how a retail business can operate this way. This is the first time I have EVER posted an unfavorable review on ANYONE online and I dont feel the least bit sorry for doing so here. I sincerely hope if others have experienced this service I would encourage you to do the same. They had plenty of opportunities to reach out to me. They have my address, my email and my phone number!Furthermore, If I could give them a NEGATIVE star on this review I sure would do so. You got one star ONLY because it wouldnt let me post without selecting one. If asked where I would take my auto for service like this in the future I will say anywhere BUT a Firestone Service Center. All they had to do a month ago was to call back!

I would like to share my experience with the Urbandale Firestone Store. Clearly, they are busy and doing lots of things right. They have lots of business and Im sure my experience is because of just that. I dropped off a flat tire with this store on Sunday. My husband had put on my spare tire. I had an appointment at 10:30 am Monday morning to just replace the spare with the fixed flat. After waiting with my 3yr old and infant for 45 minutes, I asked if it would be much longer. The store clerk was very friendly. Actually, he handled it the best he could. They were not going to get to my tire anytime soon. I asked if it could be completed in the next 20min. They were not able to do that. So, here I am, 50 min into my appointment and they were unable to get my tire switched out. Honestly, all Firestone needed to say was that they were too busy to change it out or not schedule me to come in! It was a huge waste of time. I left with a fixed tire and my spare still on my van. Please be honest with your customers. They will appreciate that much more than anything else. You are busy and thats fantastic. Just dont over book so much that you cant take care of what you have.

I had appointments for two vehicles here today. First vehicle was just for an oil change and that went just fine. The second was for another vehicle that needed an oil change/new tires/ and potentially a new muffler. They did the oil change and put on new tires and even called me up about doing an alignment adjustment which was fine. However I realized they hadnt mentioned anything about the muffler. So I called back to see on it, and was told they hadnt put any notes on the ticket about it so hed look at it. Needless to say they never did. I asked them once over the phone when I was scheduling the appointment, once in person when bringing the car in, and a third time after they asked about the alignment, and they never did. Furthermore at the sametime they said they would look, they let me know they may not be able to replace it if welding was involved. Im not sure how they can call themselves complete auto care when they dont really do mufflers.

Paid for full engine diagnostic. Yet they couldnt check timing until I paid over $600.00 for spark plugs, condensors, and ignition module. Towed car to CARX fixed timing and car is fine. They should not call themselves full service if they cant check the timing chain. I would have saved myself a tow and had it towed upp0 the road in the first place. After the fact I went a did the repairs they wanted to do for over $600.00 just in case. 4 spark plug and 4 bolts all easily accessible, less than $300.00 parts, 1/2 hour of my time done. I havent had any automotive courses since 1985. I understand labor cost, but over $300.00 for a half hour of work, that is shameful. All they had to do was do as I asked, CarX did, they could have charged me whatever they wanted on the timing and I would have been a happy customer. I dealt with 3 different people in the showroom and 2 different mechanics. Absolutly inept.

I took my car in to have them check to see why my ABS and Traction Control lights were coming on. They came back with an $800 bill saying I needed a new front left hub bearing and needed to replace my back right caliper and pad because it was dragging. Something didnt seem right as I just replaced the calipers not that long ago. I took my car back home and had someone else look at it. The only thing they could find wrong was that the connector on the front left wheel hub was semi loose. He put some gel in the connector to help the connection and plugged it in. Everything is great now. There was absolutely no drag on the back right caliper and rotor either. The.pads were at 5mm and the rotor was smooth as butter. So a $6 tube of gel versus an $800 bill from Firestone. GTFO of here. We will never be returning to this location or any other Firestone.
