The folks at Autotronics are some of the greatest and most helpful people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I recently had an incident in which my vehicle had been towed to their shop but left on the street by the towing company even though Autotronics assured me there had been room for multiple vehicles. At the time of my vehicles arrival the shop was closed and the town had gone into a snow emergency which lead to my car getting towed by another towing company. When I called in the morning to talk about the needed repairs I found out that they had my keys but not my car. The service rep I spoke to at Autotronics volunteered to call the two companies and try to work something out. Unfortunately the towing companies didnt want to work together and wouldnt release my car without a hefty fine of ~$117. As I tried to work with the towing company at fault, Todd, the manager of Autotronics, called me and volunteered his services to be of help anyway he could. I went to the shop to speak with him as the towing company at fault still wasnt accepting any responsibility. We talked and he said he would call me within the hour to see if he could work something out. Within 30 minutes he called me and told me that he had arranged a deal with the the two towing companies and that everything was taken care of. I cant thank these guys enough, especially Todd! They treated me like family and kept on a smile even in a very difficult situation. My car was repaired in rapid time and I went home happy after a stressful day. Thank you Todd and everyone at Autotronics!

Avoid this place at all cost! Our car was brought there because it died on the road and AAA towed it to autotronics. The problem was electrical and not just a battery problem because we had recently replaced the battery and still the car died. Terry kept the car for almost a week charged us $500 for a bunch of services, that supposedly fixed the problem. The next day after we picked up the car, the battery warning sign was back on and not only that, now the transmission was jerking which was a whole new problem. When we took the car back, they kept it for a couple of hours but when we came to pick it up it was clear that they did not even look at it - they did not even see that the battery warning is lit on the control panel! They wanted money to replace transmission even though they did not fix the first problem and we could not help wonder that the transmission problem was the result of them tampering with the car the first time around. What a coincidence! Now its 2 weeks later and the battery is dead, once again demonstrating that the problem they said they fixed was not even touched and the money and time spent were wasted.

I wouldnt go back. I was very much treated like a girl in a mans world. I brought it in with starter problems and got it back with an engine light on and a stalling engine. I asked if they would look at it because it happened immediately after their repair and I was willing to pay for the diagnostic time, but then I asked if I would still be charged diagnostic time even if the engine stalling was a direct result of their repair work and they told me that no matter what, even if it was their own doing, I would be charged for all diagnostic time. I was even told that it could have been an electrical reset that happened during the repair they did. I brought it to a different repair shop, paid the diagnostic work and sure enough, my electrical system was misreading because it reset while Autotronics did the repair. So this tells me Autotronics knew exactly what was wrong with it when they gave it back to me but figured they could make more money off of a girl who didnt know better. A very simple fix, but theyve completely lost me, my family and friends as customers because they refuse to stand by their own work.

After weeks of getting the run around & people trying to rip me off, plus being lied to about my car problems[cause Im a girl & dont know any better] Ive trusted autotronics with my vehicle. They came to ME to change my battery & gave me the most simple/obvious/greatly needed information about my vehicle that I didnt get from anyone else. I know my vehicle is a piece of S but Todd did a good job explaining things to me as he showed me some things on my car. I can finally say I understand some things that are going on! Being in the dark & asked to cough up money is very disappointing & stressful when youre a mom & really need to rely on your vehicle. I gotta say that after two weeks of stress & not knowing what I was going to do because everyone kept trying to rip me off, I do feel like my vehicle is in good hands, so far theyve been great & friendly & promt. I look forward to keep doing business with them when need be.

Customer Service was a 5/5... But they tried to scam me on parts. They said I needed a new stabilizer bar (which I already ordered directly from Subaru) well they quoted the bar at $234, the links (2) for $327 and the bushings (2) at $74, and labor at a very low price of $108. Well the parts directly from Subaru ran me $85 for the bar $12 for 2 bushings, and $126 for 2 links. Total parts quoted from Autotronics- $635. Total for parts directly from Subaru with shipping - $245... I understand that they are a business and need to make money, but marking up parts 2.5 times what they actually cost is not ethical its FRAUD. This also happened to one of my friends (Blaine) he reviewed this place also.

I was referred to Autotronics by several friends, and holy wow are they amazing. Never before have I had the confidence to bring my vehicles to a mechanic until now. They are extremely courteous, prompt, responsive, descriptive, friendly and helpful. I brought my main car in and had them do some major engine work on it, and never once doubted them as the service was outstanding. I was so happy with them that I took my (embarrassing) junker car to them and didnt once feel any judgement at all. Take my money. All of it. Their ability to service a customer is a lost art and I cant applaud them enough. Thank you!

Fantastic auto service and great customer care! Autotronics is the only place I will take my truck. I was greeted with respect the moment I spoke to the gentlemen there, they are attentive and knowledgeable. I got in fast and the prices are very reasonable. They tell you in plain English exactly what you need. They even have rental cars so that if they need to keep your car for the day they can give you a rental. All I had to pay was the gas! My car was fixed in less time than they had estimated and runs better than it has in years. I highly recommend Autotronics to anyone with car trouble!

My family has been taking our 4 automobiles to Autotronics in Mankato for over 4 years. I will not take them anywhere else. They have loaner cars for you to take while your car is being repaired. There is no cost to use them, you just need to replace the gas you use. They recognize that your life doesnt stop just because you have a car to be repaired. From my own experience working in the automotive industry for over 10 years, I can tell you that they know what they are talking about. They have never tried to push me to have repairs that I didnt need.
