I had my g/f take my car in for an oil change, I only use Mobil 1 full synthetic oil, this auto center does not carry this brand so I provided my own oil filter and oil. I purchased 6 quarts of oil event though my car only holds 5 quarts because you should always have a little bit extra left over incase you need to top off. after I got home from work I noticed that the extra quart of oil was not in my car, I then checked the oil level and noticed that I was about a half inch above my MAX fill line. At this time I contacted the auto center and the informed me that I could bring the car back into them and they would drain the excess oil out of my car and refund me the money that I paid for the oil considering it is $7.99/ quart. After the oil was drained and we settled up on the quart of oil the owner of the shop looks at me and tells me "next time you come in only bring 5 quarts with you instead of 6 so that this doesnt happen again," to which I reply, "I think Ill just leave that comment alone." this experience tells me that the mechanics at the auto center do not check your oil after they service your vehicle so for all they know I could have been a few quarts low or in my case a quart high. However the story doesnt end, while im at work the following day I notice an oil spot under my car, the mechanic that drained oil out of my car didnt take the time to tighten the oil plug up. After finding this out I contacted the owner of the shop once more and tell him that I need to bring the car back so that we can get the plug tightened since my mustang sits to low to the ground for me to get underneath of, he then starts cursing and yelling at me on the phone telling me that Ive done enough and that he wont be jerked around anymore and that it looks like I have a problem on my hands that I need to take care of!! hands down the worst service experience that I have ever had! Needless to say I would not recommend this auto center to ANYONE for ANYTHING if they cannot handle something so simple as an oil change.

I took my car in to get repaired as there was noise coming from my axle and tire area. After sitting in the waiting area for 2 hours, I asked Jason how much longer it would take; in which he replied another hour after getting off the phone with the mechanic. I let them know I would have to reschedule to get the work completed. Jason, the store manager stated he would have the tire put back on and can get me in two days later. The next day while driving home from work on Park Avenue, my tire fell off. The shop apologized that this happened and called a tow truck and confirmed they would pay for it and make it right. While I was waiting for the tow truck, a police woman stopped by to ensure I was okay as she said this situation is very traumatic to many people and the accident can cause death or other accidents due to the tire flying off. The shop put the tire back on and said they would call me back after the body shop has my replacement parts. Jason apologized and said again that they would make this right. I called the following Monday and Jason stated the owner talked to the mechanic who advised the owner he never took off the tire. Jason advised that I was to follow up with their attorney and hung up the phone. Rather than making it right as I was promised, the shop decided to wash their hands of this huge mistake. I seldom submit negative feedback, however, am very concerned that this very dangerous situation happened to me. I feel very blessed that I didn’t get hurt or have my kids in the car when this happened as it would have been very scary for them. Being part of the community, I am very disappointed to have experienced such a dangerous situation, poor service and an awful experience!

Norwalk Tire and Auto is conveniently located and has easy to schedule appointments that fit my schedule. Steve and the techs are very personable and committed to their customers Ive been using their service for the last few years and am pleased with the services they offer. They are knowledgeable and price competitive. I use to have to wait a week or two before I could get my vehicle in for the most minimal services at some of the big name shops, but with Norwalk Tire I can get in and out within the same day for almost all services! I will no longer take my vehicles anywhere else! Job well done guys!

There is finally a new owner and new manager! He is WELL aware of the previous mistakes and is working SO hard to do things right the first time. (just ask about the block of wood in the office and what it represents). They have been helpful every time I have been there. There was even an issue that was solved then another popped up that was simliar but unrelated. They took it back and fixed it at no cost to me! I would recommend them!

Dealing with Norwalk Tire & Auto Center is a pleasure since I felt they were honest and fair in their pricing and service times. I have used them for oil changes and to look at vehicle damage from snow plow. I trust them to give accurate information and excellent service. The owner is pleasant and trustworthy to his customers, and will return phone call inquiries and estimates in a timely fashion.

Staff is knowledgeable but, labor is extremely overpriced. Over $230 to replace a emergency brake line. They quoted me a price to replace the rear drum and shoes on my wifes car it was $470! The parts alone are only $160 They are kind of taking advantage of being one of few auto shops in Norwalk. If you can, try to find somewhere else.

I have never had a problem getting my vehicle in when I needed service. I usually leave my car overnight and pick it up the next day. That works if you have another vehicle to borrower. Its a convenient location and Ive never had to wait any extra time to get my vehicle back.
