This was the best idea my husband had-we accidently called smooth moves when my husband spoke to his phone, asking for local movers. They were professional, on time, worked their butts off and treated our belongings as if it were their own. I have been telling everyone I know to use them...they made our move so much easier and considering we were downsizing...they handled moving our very over stuffed, 2 recliner sofa down to the new houses finished basement...I feat that I thought would be impossible due to its size....my hat goes off to them...the owner and his crew really went above the normal. It was nice to hire somebody who did what they said they would...I highly recommend them.

I hired Smooth Moves on 5/24/2015 to move my belongings from Indianola to Altoona. Steve and his partner did an awesome job and took great care of my stuff. I had them make an extra stop and also asked them to move a few things around at the new place - they were very accommodating. They also used carpet runners to keep from getting the floors and carpets dirty. They are very professional and pleasant to deal with - I cant say enough good things about the Smooth Moves Moving Company. Plus they were reasonably priced as well! Thank you Steve!

Smooth Moves is second to none in the moving business. I used them on 5/26/2016 to move my belongings from my apartment in West Des Moines to a climate-controlled storage facility in Des Moines. When the time comes that an apartment opens up in a specific complex, I will definitely call them again to make the move. Steve and his associate are fast, efficient, and careful with everything they move. They were on a mission to provide the best possible experience I could hope for and they succeeded.

Smooth Moves did an awesome job helping us move! They were polite, professional, considerate, and clean! The cared for our belongings as though they were treasures and were very fast! I cant believe how quickly everything went. Pricing was competitive as well. I highly recommend them! In the past we have used Two Men and A Truck and Almighty Movers-both were okay, but paled in comparison to Smooth Moves. I would absolutely call Smooth Moves first!

They stand by their name. I called the Business and it was a quick set up. Once the movers came in they moved all my stuff within 30 mins and dropped it off in Iowa City at the right time. Its affordable -- (trust me I did my research and they had the best price). The movers were very professional.
