Horrible experience with this company. It was about as unprofessional as it gets and worse yet, I lost at least one box in transit. It all started with the estimate from Adam Trygstad. He came in and said that he overestimated my load by about 1,000 lbs. just to be on the safe side. He then gave me the extra insurance for free. Sounds great, right? The final weight miraculously came in right about at the extra 1,000 lb. mark, so no promised savings were on my final bill. Remember that I mentioned a missing box? Good thing I got the extra insurance, right? Nope, no wonder why it was free... it turned out to be worthless. For the claim process I had to work with Sue Zabloski. I had to leave her a voicemail about my missing box, and then filled out my claim online. She never returned my call and instead sent me one brief email asking where the box was located at loading. The next email I got from her a week later stated that my claim was being DENIED because I had no proof. She never even asked for proof or any other information about the situation! Moving on to the actual Atlas drivers now... There was three of them at loading. The driver (Scott Parker), his son (J.J.), and a third guy Action provided to help them. Scott was always pushing things to go at a fast pace. The helper was responsible for separating our couch that was heavy and had recliners in it. I told the guy to let me know if he needed any help, because I was worried about him possibly damaging my floor. He declined. After everything was loaded, Scott gave me about 30 seconds to check for damage and then pushed me to sign the papers so that he could get going. After I signed and they left, I noticed that there was some damage to the floor in my living room. While the load was in transit, Scott called me a few times to setup a delivery on his schedule. I agreed to a Tuesday night unload, even though I had a job interview the following morning. I wanted to try and work with him hoping that he would be more likely to look out for me. While unloading, J.J. made a comment to me saying that I was "dumb" for wanting to live here! As they continued unloading, they started to come across boxes that had no inventory stickers on them. By the time they were done, there was about ten with missing stickers. But on the checkoff sheet, there was only one unchecked box. I was told that it had to be in that pile of ten, that were obviously never tagged. It was getting late and once again I was pressured to sign so that they could leave. Glancing over everything and buying their excuse for the missing checkbox, I reluctantly did and they left. Now Im left with frustration and regret for giving this company my business. Its apparent on all levels that they will say whatever is needed to get your money and then treat you like dirt. I would suggest a few things to anyone reading this. Do it yourself, if you can. If its not possible, then keep all valuables or fragile items with you. Also, watch the movers like a hawk! Try to spot damage right away and make damn sure that every single item going on that truck is stickered and the inventory sheets show it. Even if you get a good reference from family and friends about a company. Ive seen lots of horror stories covering a wide range of moving companies. Good Luck!

Id give them more stars if I could. You will find companies that quote you less per hour -Dont let this fool you into thinking that the quality you are getting is equal. Action will do your move better and faster and actually cost you less in the end. We moved twice, once into storage and once out of storage. Made the mistake of going with another company to move us into storage and paid drastically for it! Bill came to $1700 (keep in mind that this was at a lower hourly rate, which means it took them that much longer!). Action moved us out of storage and our bill came to only ~$1000 (at a higher hourly rate!). While you may argue that Action had the advantage of moving stuff out of storage versus in, Action moved significantly more lbs./items than the first company by moving an additional, completely filled, 10x25 storage locker (that’s pretty big…). Additionally, the first movers did not handle any items with care and we had significant damage to our belongings. Action took the time to wrap every wrap-able piece of furniture with blankets. Action moved heavy equipment/furniture with ease while we watched the other company struggle all day - this drove hours of wasted time with the other company. It took 20 minutes and three guys to move the washer from the other company, versus 5 minutes of one guy who was properly equipped (a second helping him place it properly for the last minute or so…) with Action! For the non-quantitative review: Action wins hands-down. They were professional, courteous, on-time (at the facility at exactly 8am) mindful of special requests, and probably most importantly they were very experienced!!!! There is definitely an art to packing those trucks quickly and effectively and moving furniture quickly without damaging it and these guys all knew what they are doing. All the guys we had at our house that day actually wanted to make sure the move was as painless as possible for us – and were pretty fun :)

These movers were amazing; a true group of professionals. They came by to provide a free quote, detailed everything they would take and provided packing recommendations and ways to make things more efficient for the movers to save money. And they provide nice boxes for packing if you go to their warehouse in burnesville. When the movers came they were not only on time, but very personable. They started by surveying the house, putting down protective mats on the floor, covering stairs, so the house doesnt get damaged or dirty. The removed doors with ease as needed to move larger items. My riding lawn mower wouldnt start and they offered no problem to just push it up the ramp. They were so polite and helpful. They covered a lot of the furniture with blankets to protect the items during travel and even shrink wrapped a cabinet so the doors wouldnt open during the move. The unloading process went just as smooth. This crew was amazing. Rob and Bruce were fantastic people and my wife and I felt very fortunate to have these true professionals moving our home and taking great care of our things.

I highly recommend this company. We moved from a small town in central Minnesota to Australia Nov. 2014. From the start, Eric Everson was very easy to work with and he was very professional. Some companies didnt even call us back. With one very well known international moving company, we had 4 different contacts before we even received a quote! Eric was our only contact. The 2 packers that came to our home were very punctual, professional and efficient. Nothing was scratched when we unpacked in Australia. The moving company they partner with in Australia was equally as professional and communicated every step with us. Eric also stayed in touch with us until our goods arrived. We will definitely be using Action Moving Services again in the future.
