This store took my email address to send me my tracking number for the package they shipped for me. I received an email confirming the order and tracking number. There was a problem with the address it was shipping to and the package was sent back. The manager said since they asked for my email address and I did not write it on the order they did not store it. He said if I would have written it down they could have fixed the issue and it would not have been sent back. No one told me this up front and the average joe would assume their email address was saved after they received a confirmation email. The manager offered to "split the difference" with me if I wanted to ship it again but would not give a refund. I personally did not want to use their services again after the first mistake. IF you go here make sure you WRITE down your email address and phone number because anything you give them verbally will not be "stored" in their system. FYI USPS shipped my item again for $5 cheaper.

I needed to ship a package to China. The man here was very friendly and helpful! He told me what the computer said the estimated delivery times would be, then told me what I should actually expect. I am always for honesty! He also prepared me for the cost in advance so I wasnt in shock when he told me the costs of the various services. This store can ship UPS and USPS, which I loved!! I ended up going with USPS because it was not extremely time-sensitive and the cost was much lower. It was great not having to drive to a post office to get a quote from them! I will definitely ship from here again! (They also do large-scale printing/copying, but Im not a business so I doubt I will ever need to use those services)

Wish i could not give a star. HORRIBLE. Untraceable package for 4 days, called ups multiple times. Spent four days and numerous phone calls because they expect you to be home 24 /7 to sign for a package. I guess you have to take a week off work huh? They assume you know what access points are... and when you have to sign for packages. Poor communication! If you ask for your money back, its a HUGE ordeal. No sympathy and HORRIBLE customer service skills when you have problems. Four days of my life spent trying to locate a package. Every time I called said it would be available next business day...4 days later. Guess ill ship fedex instead

I stopped by for a shipping quote for a road bike. I am having it shipped from VA-IA and explain the situation. He was very rude and a smart a** to say the least. He even had the nerve to ask my why I was getting the quote at this location and not in VA. What difference would this make? I was trying to get an approximate estimate of what the cost would be. As far as I am aware of, any UPS Store is able to get you a shipping quote. I would recommend this UPS store to anyone. Bad/rude service!

I live in Iowa City and there is a UPS store near me in Coralville but the service there was beyond horrible so I decided to drive to the UPS Store in West Des Moines and they were awesome. It was fast, easy, and they answered all my questions. The West Des Moines UPS Store owner and staff are well trained and very helpful. I will drive 2 hours again if I need to ship another large package.

Horrible store manager. just wanted to get a document notarized, but the store manager refused to do it and asked me to go to a courthouse!! I simply got it done at another ups store 5 minutes after that.

The man was a jerk! I complained and told him to his face he had no customer service skills! I was shocked by his smart*ss remarks when I asked simple questions about returning an Amazon package.

I needed to mail a small manilla envelope with a dress in it and this store was going to charge me $19.00! Took it to Goin Postal in West Glen and it was only $3.00.
