DON’T EVER USE THESE CLOWNS,, THEY ARE BORDERLINE CRIMINAL,,,THEY’RE A RIP OFF & THEY CAUSE MORE DAMAGE THAN THEY FIX!! I gave my car to Smith Muffler to repair engine mounts, they broke the air induction box in the process. They would not fix the damage and didn’t want anymore to do with the issue. They failed to follow proper repair procedures for my vehicle. I needed the front brakes replaced, I instructed them to use the existing brake springs already on the car (original Jaguar) and not the cheap spare set in the trunk. After getting the car back I noticed they had used the cheap spare brake springs in the trunk and thrown out the original set that I told them to use. They didn’t offer any compensation, their attitude was oh well,, too bad. I needed front suspension bushes replaced, they quoted $450 for all 5 bushes. They did 2 bushes in 1 hour and charged $330 (they couldn’t do all the work in 1 day, as they did the O2 sensors too, so I had to bring the car back), then when I brought the car back to complete the remaining 3 bushes they wanted $650 instead of the remaining $120. They refused to honor the original quote of $450 for all 5 bushes. I don’t know where they get their pricing from, but I’ve never heard of any mechanic charging $330 for 1 hours work. Hence the heading DON’T EVER USE THESE BUTCHERS,,THEY ARE BORDERLINE CRIMINAL,,,THEY’RE A RIP OFF & THEY CAUSE MORE DAMAGE THAN THEY FIX!!!

I have not found a car repair garage as of yet that is as reasonable as Smiths. The mechanics seem to know what they are doing. We had a recent repair due to the Engine Light staying on. Long story short, we paid over $300.00 for repairs last week around 1/3/2015 but light came back on after a day of use. Todd, at Smiths was contacted by my wife who drives our 2006 Dodge Town & Country Mini Van 99% of the time and we found out after another trip and diagnosis that our van needs a complete valve job, so Todd is going to give us a break on the valve job that will be completed this month. Est. $1400.00 what a bummer being just after Christmas 2014. I have and would recommend Smiths Repair Garage for your auto repair needs. I have been dealing with Smiths for over 30 yrs.

A portion of my exhaust pipe broke on my way to work on I-75/71 by Great American Ballpark. After limping it to work, dragging my pipe and being as loud as possible, I decided to ask folks around work for a place to go. One of the guys suggested "The big muffler place over the bridge. It has like 20 bays." A simple Google search and I found Smith Mufflers & Brakes. I talked with Smiths over the phone and they gave me a quote I couldnt refuse. After being quoted more than $600 at the Honda dealership plus $60 for a rental car for the day... I was in and out of Smiths in an hour with it fully repaired, and at $200. Great, fast and friendly service. Im new to Cincinnati, and I will DEFINITELY be going back, and sending folks I know here! Thank you Smith Mufflers!!!

In my opinion they are dishonest crooks. Stay clear took my car in for just a battery got my car back with it needing $792.00 worth of work! What? They keep my car over the weekend my husband picks our car up on Monday. ...by Friday my car is leaking oil heavily. Mitch told me they didnt notice this on Friday. What really how....so you mean to tell me in 4 days I did enough wear and tear on my car to cause large holes under my car to cause oil to leak. Now mitch quotes me 1300 dollars. ...and then to top that off they broke my hood switch inside my car to lift my hood. ...my hood could go up when you all looked at it earlier that day when we get our car back now its broken. ....please dont take your hard earned money to these people.

We asked them if they started because we had got a better quote he said they had already started. An hour later one of the workers informs us they just got the part an are about to start. Well here is your 1 star earned fair & square shady dealings from a shady company. . . Excuse me I take that back its been over an hour and he said as soon as the part arrives they will start.update: Weve been here four hours in the part still hasnt arrived had he informed us they didnt have the parts we would have got it done the next time but because they lied we ended up here for over 5 hours and counting. My family has been coming here since the original owner started the business that ends today.

Smith Muffler is the best service station in Northern Kentucky. I take my car there and my sons car and they always fix it right and at the right price. Sometimes that price is half of what others would charge, Last year I took my Durango to another place in Ft Thomas to get my AC fixed. The Ft Thomas station charged it and it quit the next day. He said it needed a new evaporator and it would cost $1,150 and he really didnt seem interested in doing it. Smiths fixed it this year for about $500, and it works great. I wont use anyone else again.

They do a great job at smiths and their customer service is awesome! I cant tell you how many other car places Ive been where it takes forever for them to call just to give you an estimate, and honestly I usually have to end up calling first. At smiths, I got a call on the way back home after I left my jeep at the shop, and I dont live very far away! After the call, my jeep was fixed and ready to go in 3 hours! Thank you

Since I have moved to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area I have used the shop 3 times and everytime they get me in and out on the same day, usually within 3 to 4 hours. Just amazing, especially considering I make my money with my car. So it is important. Their prices are a little higher than other places and that sucks, but when you are paying and getting work done quickly, I will still give 5 starts.

Reasonable prices, great service, efficiency. They are kind enough to provide me with rides when my car was in the shop, and always call to provide service updates. As a young female lacking knowledge about automobiles, they explain problems and solutions very plainly and justify every service they provide. They are very respectful. I will always go to Smiths when I have car problems.

I called up to get an estimate on nothing but front brake pads on my 2011 mazda 3 2.0 liter and got quoted for $380 bucks. I just had to laugh! The guy said yeah thats for "foreign" car brake pads. Im sorry but that is plain insane. I called Midas up right after and got quoted for $179 total cost. Those foreign car brake pads must be made of gold! This made me irate! Pure insanity.

I have never had a problem with any service I received here and Ive been a customer for about a decade. They always take you into the bay to show you the issue and give you the cost up front before starting any work. Always friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are my first stop whenever I cant do the work myself.
