I took a car there a few years that was having issues starting.At the time, I knew literally nothing about cars but have learned a little since. They told me that I needed a fuel pump replacement, and quoted me for roughly $1300. On the quote, their fuel pump was about 800$. I found the identical fuel pump online for $350. Seeing this, I bought it myself and had a friend who knew a good amount about cars help me. Well once we were doing our own diagnosis, it was obvious it wasnt the fuel pump. When you turn your key into the "on" position but not to start the vehicle, you can often hear the fuel pump engage. That means it IS NOT broken. Obviously the Car X people did not understand this or they wanted to add a costly repair to my bill. It ended up being the fuel injector, which was a cheap and easy fix for a DIY mechanic. My point is, with nearly no experience, I could diagnose that my car did NOT have the problem they told me, and this gives me reason to believe they wanted to add a costly repair just to bring in more revenue. Poor business practices.

I went here for an oil change and on the phone they lied to me about not using synthetic oil, and I didnt find out that they used synthetic until the guy was putting it in my engine. Also they told me my brakes were almost gone and I needed new ones as soon as possible because it was dangerous to drive with them the way they were. However, when I went to another place to get the brakes done, even though they had my car raised up with all the tires off and had the parts in hand to replace, they told me my brakes looked brand new and fine. They even lied about my struts by saying one needed replacing because it was the original when it really was brand new just 2 years prior. I dont think they even looked! I will not go back to this place as they are not at all honest.

I was heading back home to Lville when my SUV broke down in front of the facility. Brian performed an inspection on my car for free and informed me that I blew the engine and wasnt going anywhere! Brian was extremely helpful and assisted me in locating rental cars, tow trucks, Triple-A, etc. While it was an unfortunate situation, I was lucky to break down in front of a shop with such honest and helpful individuals, Brian especially.

Hustled me into buying a BS "Camber Kit" for an extra $100 when I took my car to get aligned. When I got the car back they say it was hard to align because I "Desperately" needed a new set of tires. My wheel alignment was twice as bad after their work than it was before, and that is not an exaggeration. They were more concerned about selling me an unwanted set of tires than actually doing the work I paid for.

My girlfriend took her car there yet again after it smells like an ash tray after every visit. But this time she was pleased, the mechanic there alerted us to an issue and quickly corrected it, a sensor was bad in the fuel/ emissions system. After going there I spoke to a friend who works at a dealership, he explained that if not corrected it would have likely caused fatal engine damage in a short period.

Went for something simple but they took it upon themselves to take something apart and it fell apart blamed it on wear and tear. After they took it apart my car was undriveable and basically said pay for us to fix what we broke or you cant drive. 600$ was what I paid. Never again I dont think these people are honest just looking for a way to make a quick buck.

Always friendly and does not try to rip you off like a lot of these car repair places. Gives good advice to try to save you money. The only complaint I have is when it was cold out one of the mechanics was smoking inside while standing next to my car with the window down. My car smelled like smoke. I notified the manager and he took care of the issue.

The Florence Car-X is EXCELLENT! I have been here a few times since having some iffy experiences elsewhere in the area to get my and my wifes cars serviced. Theyve always had everything done on time or even before the time they mentioned. Carson is very nice and great to customers.

Went to have the plastic covering fixed under my Elantra. The manager Tony Daniels drilled holes, secured it tightly so I dont have to worry about it no more. Very nice & didnt even charge me for the labor. Highly recommend CarX. Great customer service.

The manager, Tony Daniels is VERY knowledgeable and always greets everyone with a smile. I have been taking my cars there for a few years now. They do a great job for a reasonable price and never tries to sell you something you dont need!

Took my car in today to have an exhaust rattle fixed. They knocked it out in just a few minutes and didnt even charge me since it was a minor adjustment. Stand up guys here, Ill be back again.

Misdiagnosed my cars braking issue and put a non-compatible battery in it. A waste of $300+. Not to mention they gave next to no consulting when I paid up. What a joke!
