I dont think Im able to offer words bad enough to describe the abysmal experience I had with DZ Moving... but lets try: Pickup day: the movers were 4 hours late, which means they showed up at 5pm, though this wasnt initially a deal breaker; I soon learned that their tardiness is habitual, if not instinctual. To make matters worse, they were dead tired and moved at half pace--even admitting several times that they were moving very slow and that they were over worked.. Fine--were all humans and get tired, I get it. But they will try to bill you their normal rate. Unacceptable. I had to pitch in to help the process along or we wouldve been moving stuff till midnight. The movers even praised me for "moving more than the two of them combined". Smoke and cell phone breaks were taken quite often--all on billed time. Moving large items: I asked them to take the drawers out of my dressers (common practice?). No bother they said.. This ensured the end of my dresser was ripped off, completely ruining my dresser. They assured me it would be covered in the move--later talking to Stan (the owner) he informed me that no, that policy was in fact, a lie and that he wouldnt be covering any losses because the dresser "wasnt made of solid wood". Any right minded individual would have known better than to try and lift a dresser with full drawers. Maybe this is the DZ way. Shortly after, the two movers strongly suggested to me that I should tip them because thats how they make their wage... okay... If youre still reading this review and still considering hiring these guys to help you move, 1) Im shocked and 2) let me continue to try and save you a very bad headache. My drop off was supposed to be between 3-4pm the following day. At 7pm I had to call numerous times to check. Finally a call was answered and Stan told me they were behind but still had plans of dropping my stuff off. At 9pm, after numerous phone calls and avoided messages I phoned the police to seek advice because I was honestly worried all of my possessions had been ripped off. The police advised I phone one more time and inform the owner (Stan) of my intent to file a theft report if a delivery date/time was not established. Stan became irate and swore several times at me informing me I couldnt "ask for a time to have my stuff picked up or dropped off at, thats not how this business works and theyll get to my stuff when they got to it and if I didnt like it I could hire another company to come remove it from his truck and deliver it to me." I contemplated requesting a police officer to be present at the unload after this behavior was presented to me for fear of confrontation or damage to my belongings. Eventually I got my belongings 2 days after the initial pickup. James and the other gentleman (sorry I dont remember his name) were great and pleasant to work with and actually worked at a diligent pace. If a star is deserved in this review, it goes to James and his partner.

My first mistake was in hiring DZ to move me. I am still unpacking boxes and finding damage done by this moving company. DZ Moving broke more of my things than all my moves (4) combined. They didn’t listen when I asked them not to pack certain boxes, they didn’t read the labels on the boxes or ask where the boxes went, they were careless and reckless when moving me in. Consequently, I had boxes in my kitchen that were supposed to be taken to the basement and boxes that I needed upstairs were in the basement. Very few boxes were delivered to the correct room, and I spent a lot of time labeling them, so it shouldn’t have been that hard. My next mistake was getting an estimate over the phone instead of having someone come out and tell me exactly how many trucks and how many workers would be needed for my move. Because of that lapse in judgment, I paid almost double what I was quoted. While this company did a good job of wrapping my wood furniture in blankets, they sadly did not do the same thing to my upholstered furniture. Many pieces arrived filthy. One box had evidence of a mouse or rat invasion. I had to throw away the entire contents of the box. Broken items include: • A broken antique teapot. • My favorite plate EVER was smashed into bits • A kitchen chair is missing one of its rungs • A side chair was broken • A leg on a side table will not screw on, due to lost hardware • A plastic storage bin was cracked and busted when the mover carelessly pushed too many boxes too quickly down steps, resulting in the entire tower of boxes dropping to the floor. • A glass outdoor lantern was broken • A glass display container was broken I’m sure as I unpack more boxes, I will find more damage. I will tell everyone I know never to use DZ Moving Company.

Worst service! They never care about your items. They delivered my items from Louisville to NJ with 2 months of storage. Their packing itself showed lock of quality. They didnt even wrap my $3000 worth mattress until I asked them to do so, even then not properly. During packaging itself I scolded myself for making agreement with DZ moving!! When the items delivered after 2 months, I realized some of the packages were damp with mold on bottom INCLUDING MY $3000 bed. I requested them from the beginning itself to be careful with my costly temperpedic mattress. The mattress got mold with foul smell so I had to discard it as I didnt want to take any risk. I took pictures of the packages while unloading by the Dz moving associates, one of them being the same guy who packed my stuff initially. He also admitted that it was in a good condition when packed. I spoke with Stan and he suggested me to file claim online which I did. I sent him pictures of the items as well. But I didnt hear either from claim department or anyone despite many emails. I called up Stan, he says he never received any emails and asked me hold and disconnected my call which really made me angry. I am going sue them as I have lost my costly bed. I would have given negative start if there was any. Stay away from DZ movers.

I would not ever go thru this company again. First they didnt cover my furniture which got severly strached in the process. Then while the movers where moving stuff off the truck I get a call from the another employee stating that they needed to hurry up with my move before they get a fine for a job they had to be at. In the meantime once the guys rushed off from my job the owner comes over with furniture marker to cover up were the messed up my furinture NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZE!! Tried to get me to go thru someone that he knew could fix the furinture instead of the insurane company. Needless to say that wasnt an option almost a week later and still waiting to file claim due to their internet been down never once has the owner kept in touch with me I have to keep making phone calls back to the owner to find status. Oh and by the way the whole we moved Rick Patino yes they did and also BROKE an 100,000 picture! Do yourself a favor DO NOT USE DZ MOVING.. Worst moving company I have ever dealt with and the worst part is this nightmare is still not over!
