I left the D rating review on Angies List. I was just called by the owner (months later) and instead of him trying to correct the issues I was only accused of incorrectly remembering events. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I was told to expect the movers between 8:30-9am. They showed up at 9:15am and did not start moving things until 9:30am. The owner (who was not there) tried to tell me today that they arrived at 8:45am. Im sorry your workers are lying to you. Because you are choosing to believe them and not your customer, I was overcharged for at least 30 minutes. Yes, I was charged $320 (the Angies List review stated $400, I overestimated), but based on the initial quote and the actual time spent I was expecting more like $250. Especially for them being late. Moving a 1 bedroom apartment with "professional" movers should not take more than 2 hours in the first place and I was quoted 2-3 hours. It took almost 4 hours based on the amount I was charged. They finished at my house at 12:15pm (according to him). I am also out a bottle of perfume and an Xbox 360 controller because of these movers. I should also not have to help movers I hired move boxes. The only solution the owner had for me today was to send me the text of when everything was loaded up. What does that do for me now? A text proves nothing. No offer to make things right or anything other than arguing with me. I am even more disappointed than before.

Had a great experience with them from the beginning. They were the first company that I called where I didnt talk to a voicemail or get put on hold. Someone answered the phone and asked what I needed and they were able to get me an appointment for exactly the time I needed. They dont take a deposit, they just ask that you let them know if your plans change which is great. They called the day before to confirm the appointment. They let me know that they would be to my place between 10 and 11. They were there at 10:15 and they got started right away. There were careful with everything and very quick. We were done moving all of our furniture just before noon and they put everything where I wanted it. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would highly suggest Big Lake Movers!

I never write reviews, but couldnt not write one for this company. I just had the easiest, most pleasant, stress-free move of my life (and Ive moved many times). The two movers were extremely fast, professional, and hard-working. They completed my move in just under 3 hours, including driving to and unloading at my new place--and I have a lot of stuff. It was unbelievable!! They were so careful and did such an excellent job. Plus, the price simply cannot be beat. This entire process, from scheduling to the actual move, has been perfect and seamless. I couldnt recommend them more highly and will certainly use them for any future moves! We had a great move thanks to Big Lake Movers! We had Jeremiah and Esteban come to load & unload all of our stuff. They were extremely helpful and professional. They made our move SO much easier and MUCH less stressful. They showed up right on time, and stayed past time to make sure everything was unloaded and offered to help set up furniture. After underestimating the amount of time our move would take, I was appreciative of their positive attitudes and hard work. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for your help. -E

2 words, quick and professional! Omar and Chris were the two guys who moved us. It took only 2 hour including a 30minite drive to move 15+ pieces of heavy furniture. They guys moved everything with care and everything arrived safely. I would highly recommend Big Lake Movers to any of my friends and family for any upcoming moves.

I would highly recommend! Very friendly movers and very friendly owner. I didnt make it easy for them by moving to an upstairs apartment in Heritage Hill, but they didnt complain once and got it done so quickly! I was so impressed. Definitely will use them every time.

I didnt even get to have an experience I had an appointment for 8 to 9 then they rescheduled me to 2 oclock and then they didnt show and didnt return my calls if you like prompt dependable service I suggest finding another moving company.
