We have used this moving company two or three times in the past and Id like to start off by saying the guys who have helped us move have been absolutely amazing. They do a great job and pack everything so its snug and safe. They havent ever damaged any of our furniture, are very diligent while working, and are overall really nice guys to be around and work with! Ive referred friends and family because of how great they are and how fair their pricing is. The reason I am reviewing them with two stars is due to the poor customer service and disrespect my husband and I received for their boss/owner Cody. Cody was incredibly rude to both my husband and I after he gave us a poor moving estimate causing our move to go over a few hours due to not having enough space on the truck for all of our things (this is after he confidently assured me everything should be able to fit). He did not answer or return our calls the entire day and had an attitude and was disrespectful over the phone once we had to have one of his workers contact him for us. As repeat customers (along with referrals to others) I thought that he would value our business and make things right- which he did not. For me, it wasnt even about the money at that point, it was the fact he was so incredibly rude to me (and my husband) over the phone. Therefore, as much as we love the guys he hires to work for him we will NOT be using them in the future due to how much of a complete jerk Cody was.

I dont even know if they deserve a 1. I had Cody come out to give me an estimate for a move. He arrived with camera and notepad. As we walked through the house, he kept commenting on how much stuff we had and that I needed to downsize. I was pointing out that not everything would be moved, but he still made the comment, and not just once. It was in almost every room we went in to. When we got down to the basement, he saw our deep freezer and said, "You dont need that." I dont understand how he knows what we need or not need. When I told him that yes, we did need it, he asked me if I ever heard of Costco. I never understood why he would be bringing Costco up because that is where you buy in bulk, and if I shopped there, I would most certainly need a deep freeze. After looking at the garage, the last area to look at, he basically told me that I needed to have a professional come in to help me downsize. I asked him if he would be able to do the job, and he said it would take two trucks. I took his card, and he left telling me he would have a quote to me by Monday (this was on a Friday). Never got the quote. However, it really didnt matter, because even before we got to the basement and the comment about the deep freeze, I was so tired of his remarks about how we needed to downsize and how much stuff we had that there was no way that I would have chosen this company to move us.

Others did not compare to the personal attention or professional hard work we received from A&C Careful Moving. They listened to our concerns and understood that our furniture, personal possessions, and art pieces were important and saw our possessions were in PRISTINE condition, and knew we expected everything to arrive in the same condition at our new home. NOTHING WAS DAMAGED. Everything was properly packed, moved, unwrapped and placed according to our directions. The stresses of moving can be so unbearable. This company, however, spares no cost, time, or effort in making the process seamless and perfect. After having other companies damage personal belongings on previous moves, I was anxious, hesitant, and uncertain about having another moving company handle everything. These movers, more specifically, Cody and Jordan, treated my belongings as if they were their own and I could not have been more pleased. Everything was moved in a careful and timely manner and to be honest, these guys pretty much arranged a free floor plan for me. Talk about perfect. If you are debating on having anyone else move your belongings, DONT!!! Call A&C today and commit to having this company do the heavy lifting because they will certainly commit to you! Moving is a pain! We were so happy to have A&C do the heavy lifting for us! The 2 men showed up on time and worked in a very timely manner to accomplish the job in just over our goal time even though they ended up having to do 2 loads. They were friendly and very careful with our belongings. And A&Cs hourly rate was less then the other well known movers in the area. So that made this Dutch girl happy! Highly recommend saving yourself the stress and labor of moving and call these guys!

I am very thankful that I hired Careful Moving to move a treadmill up very steep steps! I was told by Cody they do not accept checks as payment. However, I do feel that if they only accept credit cards I should be informed beforehand of a 10% credit card fee. My bill was $150 and an additional $15 dollars was tacked on. Im fine with paying a credit card fee had I been told. I also have never experienced a mark up of 10% for a using a credit card.

Absolutely ****wonderful****. Cant imagine how it could have been better. Nate and Weston did a fantastic job - they were quick and efficient, but also took the time to get everything exactly where I wanted it at my new place. They took great care of my furniture and also the floors etc at my old place and my new place. Thanks so much, Nate and Weston, for making my move such a great, hassle-free experience!!

Jason and Matt made our move easier than anticipated. They loaded and unloaded fast and efficiently even though it was a very hot and swampy humid day. No damage or any other issues, they even showed up a couple of minutes early. Thanks you for your help and now for the unpacking!

I could not be happier with this company and the movers. They moved me from Chicago to Grand Rapids and we had no problems. They kept in good communication, made sure our contents were well protected and worked all day without a break. Use these guys!
