OK YOU NEED TO READ THIS REVIEW! I ONLY GO TO FIRESTONE FOR 1 THING AND 1 THING ONLY. WHICH IS AN OIL CHANGE. I HAVE MY OWN MECHANIC IN BURTONSVILLE BUT I LIVE IN COLUMBIA. I DRIVE AN INFINITI Q50(2014). EVERY TIME I GO TO THIS PLACE AND DROP MY CAR OFF THEY CALL ME TO HAVE SOMETHING DONE ON MY CAR. I KINDLY SO NO THANKS I WILL HAVE MY MECHANIC LOOK AT IT, JUST DO THE OIL CHANGE. MOST TIMES WHEN I TAKE THEIR CONCERNS TO MY PERSONAL MECHANIC WHO IS AN EXPERT ON INFINITI VEHICLES BY THE WAY, HE TELLS ME NO SUCH PROBLEM EXIST. ONE DAY THEY CALL ME IN SUCH CONCERN. FIRESTONE EMPLOYEE: "HELLO MISTER SUCH AND SUCH. WE NOTICED THAT YOUR BACK BRAKES WERE RECOMMENDED A FEW MONTHS BACK TO BE REPAIRED AND YOU STILL HAVE NOT HAD THEM SERVICED. NOW YOUR BRAKES ARE DOWN TO THE METAL AND STUCK TO THE ROTORS. YOU REALLY NEED TO HAVE THESE FIXED. WE CAN DO THIS FOR YOU TODAY!!!" ME: ARE YOU SURE ITS MY BACK BREAKS SIR? FIRESTONE EMPLOYEE: YES I AM SURE. WE HAVE IT UP ON LIFT NOW AND IT LOOKS PRETTY BAD. ME: AND THIS IS THE BACK BRAKES, NOT THE FRONT BRAKES, YOU ARE SURE? FIRESTONE EMPLOYEE: I AM SURE! ME: I HAD THE BACK BRAKES REPLACED A FEW MONTHS AGO IT SHOULD NOT HAVE RAN DOWN THAT FAST! I DIDNT HEAR A NOISE OR ANYTHING COMING FROM MY CAR WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES. HOW COULD THAT HAVE HAPPENED? FIRESTONE EMPLOYEE: I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT WE CAN FIX THE PROBLEM NOW IF YOU WANT. ME: NAH THATS OKAY. I WILL HAVE MY MECHANIC LOOK AT IT. BYE! I HANG UP AND JOG TO GO GET MY CAR. I GET TO THE FIRESTONE AND THEY HAVE A RECEIPT OF WHAT IT WOULD COST TO FIX THE BACK BRAKES THAT ARE "GRINDED DOWN TO THE METAL". IT WOULD COST $451.00 TO HAVE THE REPAIR DONE. I GRAB MY KEYS AND GO STRAIGHT TO MY MECHANIC. I SHOW HIM THE RECEIPT WITH THE COST AND HE SAYS THATS IMPOSSIBLE I JUST REPLACED EVERYTHING UNDER THERE THE MONTH BEFORE LAST. WE TAKE THE TIRES OFF AND SEE THAT THE PADS AND ROTORS ARE STILL NEW AND THAT IT WAS COMPLETE AND UTTER LIES. ROTORS WERE SMOOTH, PADS WERE LIKE NEW. THESE PEOPLE AT THIS FIRESTONE ARE CON ARTIST AT THE VERY LEAST. FREAKING CRIMINALS. WHAT IF I DIDNT KNOW ANY BETTER, I WOULD HAVE SHELLED OUT ALMOST $500.00 FOR REAR BRAKES FOR NO REASON. I WILL NO LONGER IN THE FUTURE GO HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF YOU DONT KNOW ANY BETTER. WORD TO THE WISE STAY AWAY FROM THESE TYPE OF PLACES. FIND YOU A MECHANIC THAT KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING AND THAT YOU HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT LOOKING OUT FOR YOUR BEST INTEREST. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW MANY OLD LADIES, FOREIGNERS, AND WOMEN THEY HAVE TAKING ADVANTAGED OF IN THE PAST. DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

I just used this place to see what theyd say about a brake job being done on my car at another shop (an honest one), and it looking like the front end of my car sitting higher after the brakes and rotors were fixed, and if a wheel alignment would fix it. I got a brake job done at this other shop and now the front end of my car is higher by about a half inch. So I asked this guy at firestone if they do suspension work and how much would it cost to lower my front by only half an inch. He says $2000. I laughed at him and said $2000 to lower a car !??. So then he gets all nervous and says ok, $1,000. He dropped a whole grand in less than a sec. hahaa... psshh I only used them just to kill some time waiting on an order I had at another store down the street, because I only heard bad things about this place, and wouldnt even take it there for an alignment, but really just wanted to find out if they do suspension work and what the price would be. Just to get an idea what a tire dealer would charge for work like that, I would never let them do any work on my car. You only hear bad things about this shop in Columbia. I knew theyd give me some lame overpriced amount but I didnt think it be that retarded of a price qoute. The guy looked about 20 something and had light brown, blond hair. I dont know if he was just dumb as hell or trying to get over, Columbia is real doughy. Im thinking they probably dont get asked to do that many lowering jobs and he has no clue how much a job like that cost, either way dumb blondie lost them a high paying customer. Because even though I do have $1000 or $2000 to pay for a lowering job on my car, Im no where near stupid or naive enough to make that happen for them. I could do it myself for a couple hundred bucks, if I did dirty car work, but I dont. So somebody with a lot smarter qoute will get paid for it. That guy should be fired for being dumb as hell and losing a paying customer (if I was cluless to their bad service and really was one). Because I was looking for an alignment also. but he told me it probably wouldnt help the problem I told him I had, which Im thinking it definitely would seeing how stupid this guy was with the price qoute.

My husband took his car to this place to fix his ac, and we sat there for about 2 hours. All was fine because we thought they were actually fixing the problem. Than the customer service guy tells us that they dont really know whats wrong but they want to run a few tests on it and said it would take about another 2 hours to run the tests. We were fine with that, because we knew it would probably be awhile anyway. About 2 1/2 hours later the same guy comes in and tells us they have no idea what is wrong and to bring it back to them the following day because their more experienced technician would be in that day. We dont live that close to this place so it was a rather big inconvenience, but we wanted to give them a chance (what a mistake!). At first they were going to charge my husband around $400, but they dropped $100 off because we sat there for so long. My husband and I got back into the car, and he went to turn on his radio and it wouldnt turn on. It worked fine before we got there so it was definitely something that they did. They had the same technician look at the radio, and after he gave us a very dirty look he went to try and fix the radio. After another hour of waiting, he couldnt fix it so he had 2 other technicians come over to look at it as well. We again sat there for another hour and the customer service gentleman told us that they didnt do anything to the radio and claimed my husband probably bought a "bad radio." Which is ridiculous because as I stated before, it was working perfectly fine before he got there, not to mention my husband paid a lot of money for this radio. Well, finally they admitted that they couldnt tell what was wrong with anything, we returned home with no ac and his radio not working. The following day my husband returned and they had their more experienced technician look at his car and fixed everything (including his radio) within an hour. They even knocked off another $100 off the bill because of the inconvenience they caused. We will never go back.
