So, we needed some work done on our locks for our office. Able Locksmith sent David out promptly, he worked quickly even as patients were going in and out the door, and had the work done in no time at all. He even politely made sure no patient had any trouble getting by him as he worked. in the end the price was very fair (definitely way cheaper than a new lock). On top of that I spent some of the time asking him questions about lockpicking (I had been watching Youtube videos about the subject out of curiosity, it seems like a cool skill to have) and he obliged me with helpful answers and advice on how to learn the basics! Now I am practicing at home. One day I will be a semi-expert (lol) and will amaze friends and probably save myself a lot of grief being locked out of my house. Today the wind blew hard and the door hardware broke (not the actual lock, but the arm with the hydraulic action) off and we had a screw that was sheared off and stuck. Not sure who to call but needing it fixed quickly, we called David and he was here before the afternoon (between other clients) and repaired the door. David was friendly, very competent, and Able Locksmith went above and beyond. I have gotten keys copied there before, but now I will have them in mind whenever I need anything to be done. As someone who is usually disappointed and hard to impress, I am VERY satisfied.

Initially, I was very impressed with the customer service at this shop via phone; Dave was nice, and very helpful. I looked forward to using their business for a special Mothers Day gift. Unfortunately, I will never go back, and I will not suggest using them to anyone I know. We were scheduled to have service done at 9:30am, and we were not called to pick up the car until 4:30pm. When we went to the shop, there was a parking ticket attached to the windshield. The ticket was processed at 3:58pm. When I mentioned it to the woman in the shop, she shrugged it off, and did not even consider that the shop was at fault. Had they done the work at the scheduled time, we never would have received the ticket. We incurred the costs completely. I believe this was very, very poor customer service and very bad business.

Wow! Long story short, our car keys were misplaced. What we thought would be a nightmare involving towing our car and replacing the ignition turned out to be a breeze with Able Locksmith! they arrived within 30 minutes of our phone call and had a two new keys for us within an hour at a price that I would consider more than fair. I highly recommend this family owned locksmith company in Frederick Maryland. Its refreshing to know that not all locksmiths are out to take advantage of people in need of their services. Well done guys... keep up the good work!

Very pleased with Able. I stopped by a competitor to have my have some keys matched for my Dodge Durango. The competitor refused to do the work since I had purchased the keys myself. I did a Google search and located Able Locksmiths who where not far away. The nice lady gladly and without questions keyed them in about 5 minutes. They work perfectly. As a bonus, a gentleman there did a fine job of sharpening my pocket knife "hair cutting sharp" They are very reasonable and both where pleasant to work with. Thank you for your good service!

I had a great experience with Able Locksmiths! I needed a lock re-keyed right away so new tenants could move in to my apartment. Although all of their technicians were busy, the owner himself came right over to make sure the work got done. He was prompt, friendly, fast and did great work for a reasonable price. We have always had great service from Able Locksmiths. Have been customers for 16+ years. Always friendly, helpful and willing to offer their expertise without expecting any fee or purchase first. Previously had keys made at the Big Box stores and most didnt work. With Able, they almost always get it right the first time and whenever a problem always cheerfully replace without question.

They are one of the worst neighbors you could possibly have. The owners are rude, I will not be using their services nor will I recommend them to others that I know. The key fob for my car broke. I ordered a new blank but the closest dealer that could cut it was about 30 miles away. I was recommended to call Able Locksmith by the local Toyota dealer.
