While the staff was usually very polite and friendly, I was not impressed with my unit!!! I had a 5x10 and told the woman I needed it that day, she told me it would be cleaned out before I got back (it was really dirty when she showed it to me). Well, I got back hours later and my friend had to use my GOOD broom to get the TONS of stink bugs and leaves etc out of the unit. My lock on the door was also rusted and bent and I could hardly close it. It took so long every time to wiggle and guess and push and pull it into place! The first time I did it on my own, I got the woman to help and she said something like "I noticed that when I opened it, if you want to move you can" uhhh my unit was already FULL of my stuff... why wouldnt she mention it and let me choose BEFORE!? I hate to give a bad review but my experience really wasnt great the first day. However, It is very convenient for us Middletowners and it does get the job done, just be forewarned of the issues I had and be more clear than I was that you want a clean, easy to use unit!!!!! Also, they are great on pricing and letting you be a little late, thats really convenient. Again, Im not saying DONT store here, just dont make my mistakes of letting them take advantage of you :0/

This place is awful. The service is terrible. My unit smells like death. And inconsiderate ownership. I have a lock that doesnt belong to me on my unit. Ive called and left messages to address it not to my surprise no return call Every time I stop by the office during business hours no one is there. Complained about my unit that smells like something has died in it. And wasnt addressed Owner decided to pull off everyone cars, trucks trailers boats etc in front of the units. When I asked about it. Answer I was given is its the owner decision. Finally when it was moved. There was still debris. Screws etc which I ended up getting a flat tire from. Stay away from this place.

I have been with Forth Knox storage for the past four to five years. The facility is clean, and easy to access. It is a great feature to have interstate 70 so easy to access. The mangagement staff, is great to work with. Tim and Micheal are always available to answer questions or handle any concerns that I may have. I have used other storage facilities in the past but was not as satisfied as I have been with Fort Knox. I have been very happy doing business with Fort Knox and will continue to use them. If you are looking for a storage facility that is top notch Fort Knox is the one for you..........

During the past month, I have begun using Fort Knox Self Storage in Frederick, Md., off of Old National Pike. The staff was extremely friendly, polite and competent. They guided me through the quick rental process, guidelines and recommended tips and tactics for me not only to get the most out of my storage unit but also how to pack up my existing belonging the most efficiently. The property is very well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend this self-storage business.

I stored at Fort Knox and water leaked into my unit. The staff did not seem to care at all. There are stink bugs all over the place and I had 2 dead rodents and a dead bird in my unit. I wont store there again. I went in the office to tell them and the woman there acted like I was bothering her. And my door was heavy and hard to open. They wouldnt fix it. I paid all that money and my stuff got messed up. Wont go back there if I have to use storage.

i needed a storage unit so i dropped by this facility on the way home. manager was very rude and acted as if she didnt have time for me!! handed me a brochure with prices on it and proceeded to make a phone call while i was in the office!!! found out from a friend he had storage here in the back lot and discovered his unit infested with RATS!!! i advise anyone to NOT rent here!!!!!

Rented here from August to November 2016. Had water / moisture damage as well as rodent damage on some of our stuff. The gate required entering the pin code 4 times to open, and a notice said that was due to weather which means they dont want to spend the money to have it fixed. Enormous pot holes on lot, cars / trucks parked very close to doors etc.

Easy in-out access to the storage unit. Access times are right. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The on-line help/tips for protecting your material are very good. Found water dripping into the unit, but only after 20 inches of snow. There was no problem when it rained. I would recommend this facility.

I was very pleased with the friendly and prompt service I received from the staff at Fort Knox when I came by today. My lock had a problem opening, and they fixed the difficulty right away--service with a smile!

Potential Customers: Beware of management changes, arrogant, bullying service, embellished review by management/staff. Cheaper, friendlier to store at Point of Rocks, New Market or Thurmont.

Needed a one month storage and the staff was willing to help and unit was priced reasonably. The unit was clean and dry and fit my needs perfectly.
