Brake light came on and asked them to check the brake fluid. I thought I had a leak. They said no its just the back brakes. Got them done and now about a month later guess what. Brake light back on and the back rotors are already scored. For what I paid I thought I was going to pros. But I wasted my time and money and still have the same problem. They were nice and the shuttle great but not as thorough as Id hoped. Why not go back and try to get them to fix? Same symptoms as last time so what would be different....unless they really didnt check or did a poor job of checking or a new problem that triggers the same light. All possible but Im moving on. Hopefully you have better luck. Like I said they were nice so maybe they were having a bad day.

This place is top notch in my book. I am a former Marine injured in OIF and have had to take vehicles to shops around the country at many different times. George, Dave, and their technicians were all extremely friendly, supportive, kind, fair, and caring. Not only did they do the work required to my truck but found an additional problem and helped me fix that as well while minimizing the cost coming out of my pocket. They are very knowledgeable in what they do and offer a shuttle service to those within distance of their shop which is almost unheard of in this day and age. Needless to say my vehicles have found a new home for all repairs and maintenance from here on out, and a strong word of mouth reference from me to any I find needing auto repairs.

I initally had an appointment for an oil change and a tire rotation, the night before I had the appointment my car had troubles starting. I left a voicemail saying I would leave my car there incase I couldnt get it started again. I called them in the morning explaining what had happened and they said they would look into it. They gave me a call back within an hour with the problem. Understanding that they were busy I said its okay if it took a few days. They ended up calling me back within a few hours saying it was done. I was very happy with Winkler Automotives service. The employee who helped me explained everything to me and was very welcoming and answered any questions I had.

On my way through Gaithersburg I had unfortunate luck having my car break down. Being a lady traveling by my self, I needed help, quickly! Thankfully there was a small convenience store a couple blocks from where I was stuck. I went inside, looking for someone to help direct me to a repair station and the clerk referred me to Winklers. Promptly, they came to my rescue, were helpful and gracious. They diagnosed it as a fuel filter problem and had me back on my way in no time. Winkler Auto had fair pricing, friendly service and took excellent care of my car. I would give them five star rating and suggest them for any and all automotive needs.

Recently had my 2008 Nissan Titan serviced here and they are amazing! I wish I would have found this place years ago when I moved to the area. Dave is extremely nice, brought my truck in and he showed, literally, me that the previous place I used installed my brakes and tires improperly. They are a little more expensive than a normal shop but it is well worth the customer service and quality you receive. I am impressed as I thought all auto care places were crooked but this place is fair and honest and I recommend this to everyone! Also, its nice that they give a military discount, cant find any other place that does!

Ive been going to George for more than 10 years now, and cant tell you how great they are. In a nutshell, HONEST. You cant ask for more than that when it comes to a mechanic. I have a long commute and put a lot of miles on my car. The thing thats really great about Winkler is how theyre always being proactive and making honest suggestions to care for my car before something becomes a problem (and they run a lot of great specials that make it a no-brainer). Ive put more than 500,000 miles on three cars in the past 10 years and have NEVER had a major problem. And I owe that to Winkler, 100 percent.

I was in Gaithersburg on a business trip and leaving the hotel for a meeting I broke a fan belt. I called a local toe company and they suggested Winkler. I called Winkler Automotive and explained my situation and the meeting I had to be at. Winkler went out of their way to repair the car and had me on the road with time to spare. They treated me like I was a resident of the town even though I was out of state, very reasonable, extremely helpful and showed genuine care. I would highly recommend them for any automotive needs, Bravo and keep up the good work guys.

Winkler Automotive came highly recomended through a friend of mine who had been going there for years. After taking my car there for the first time I feel that I was treated fairly and kept in the loop through every step of the process. I even had dealer warranty service performed there and was told that some of the work recomended by the dealership was not necessary, saving me a bundle. The work was also completed in a timely manner, saving me the headache of being without my vehicle. I must recomend this shop to anyone in the area.

Brand new customer for them, and theyve won my future business. I went in to have my utility trailer inspected. They were ready for me precisely at my appointment time. They found that a bulb was burned out, so they replaced it - and the trailer passed inspection. I am so happy that they were ready, willing and able to diagnose and correct the problem for me - saved me another trip. Ill definitely come back, and highly recommend this place. Everyone was professional and friendly - and I was outta there in less than an hour.

Due to convenience, I brought my car into Winkler a number of times for different things, and paid them thousands of dollars. When an engine light came on, they charged me $100 to tell me the gas-cap was loose. When I didnt pass an inspection, and their quote was $80 more than the neighbor, I was told that a repair at the neighbor would require them to conduct another $80 inspection, and so the price was firm. Too much money, too little courtesey. Tolker down the street might make you wait, but theyre fair and reliable.

I am new to the Gaithersburg/Rockville area and needed a Maryland State Inspection. I was able to come in and wait for my vehicle to inspected early one morning which really helped me plan my day accordingly. My car needed a few things to pass, but the staff was very courteous and they even walked me back to show me the items that failed. It was a very low pressure, friendly atmosphere. I have already scheduled my other car for its state inspection too. Thanks and I look forward to doing business in the future.
