Had a leaking shower head a few months back and decided to give Len the Plumber a try. Someone came out and determined that a cartridge needed to be replaced. Said he had to run multiple places to get it. Find the next morning that it wasnt adjusted properly and we werent getting hot water. When I called to schedule another appt, I asked if someone else could be sent out bc I had a hard time understanding the service tech. They had the nerve not only to tell the tech I said that, but then also still sent him back for the job. Very unprofessional as a business. Oh and I was given a 4 hour window, and it was hour and half after the window until the guy finally showed up the 2nd time. He didnt do anything to clean up after himself either. Shower had gunk on the floor and put all the dirty tools on the bath mat outside the shower. Ever since the new cartridge was installed, it would make a squealing noise whenever hot water was used. Didnt want to bother dealing with yet another service call so lived with it. Then a few days ago the hot water would either not work at all, or work a few minutes and then get cold. Did some research online and determined it was actually pretty easy to replace and install the cartridge. Was able to pick it up at a Home Depot thats minutes away (so not sure why he had to go on a search party to find a cartridge). Clearly he used some sort of lubricant when installing the cartridge and thats why it got all gunked up and failed within months. Its like it was a deliberate plan so wed have to call for service again in a few months and spend another $500. That seems a bit steep for a simple cartridge replacement. Thankfully its easy enough to do without a plumber. The cartridge costs a whopping $40. Very disappointed. Will NEVER use them again for plumbling service and definitely dont recommend.

Just wanted to provide you feedback on the latest service call on Saturday (3/11/2017). John is a nice guy but his visit was a waste of $186 as he did not provide any service on his 15 minute visit. We knew prior to the call (and communicated to LenThePlumber) that the issue was the Flammable Vapor Sensor (7 flashing lights). John basically removed the sensor (which I could have done) and placed it outside to air out and recommended that we open all our windows and doors for several hours. The basement did not smell of polyurethane as it had been almost two weeks since we had the floors refinished upstairs. After two hours I placed the sensor back on the hot water heater and it still did not work which did not make sense. So I googled the issue online and learned that there is a simple process to RESET the Honeywell Controller (something John should have known as a sensor trigger is a fairly common occurrence). I EVEN asked John about resetting the controller as I am an engineer and it seemed to make sense to be part of the service process. He said that if the sensor did not work after several hours to call the office back on Monday for another service call. Once I reset the controller the hot water heater worked immediately. It would have worked when John as at the house if he knew how to reset the controller! I have attempted to contact their customer service department via the phone (no answer and mailbox is full) and via email (no reply) as they should refund the charge given he experience.

I had a very small gas leak between a connector of a flex pipe and a pipe. The utility provider came out and shut off my gas supply till I had a plumber fix the problem. I contacted Len the Plumber and they sent out a plumber for service. When the plumber came he did the diagnoses and quoted me $650 for the fix. Even though I could have just paid $49 for the estimate and not hire the company I ultimately agreed to pay the repair charge since I wanted my gas to be restored and did not get another estimate. Now I understand that every company has to be profitable but $650 for not even 1 hour of work is quite excessive. I would definitively get other estimates next time. I basically paid for a $350 service call $650. ***This is in response to your quick response below: It does not look like that you take consumer complaints seriously! Your reviews are full of unsatisfied customers that have had a similar price gouging experience. This is not an ethical way to conduct business.***

In late March I called Len the Plumber because my dishwasher was flooding. Their plumber first told me it was a job for an appliance repair person but then reversed and said he would re-position hoses and replace the disposal and that would fix it. He charged me $682 for the $70 disposal and the rest. Next day I tried to run my dishwasher and it flooded again. I called to complain but was hardly listened to and told twice it did not matter if he did not fix what I called about as long as he fixed something. The next person I talked to seemed somewhat more sympathetic, told me I had some valid points and that he would refund $182. That was two months ago and the check has never shown up. I am a senior living on a fixed income. Of course this service deserves even less than one star regardless of who the customer is but maybe is even a little more contemptible in my case.

The most dishonest company I ever dealt with. I have even given them 5 days to contact me and try and resolve issue before I posted review but I keep getting the run around. Bottom line is they quote random prices for work, they have no idea what the parts and labor breakdowns are. They are not friendly and the guy who came into my house tried to scare my wife into doing the repairs. Also told her there was a significant amount of mold but never actually checked. I contacted 2 more plumbers to come out and inspect and both gave me estimates that were inline with each other and both could not find mold. I had the work done and even had them do additional services because the prices were right and the treatment and honesty was there. I still cant believe LEN the PLUMBER never even called me back to try and resolve issue. THEY DON"T CARE!!!

I had a simple job to replace an outdoor spigot, and they wouldnt provide me a quote over the phone. The guy came out and quoted $400! I was shocked. I paid the ridiculous $49 fee, and said Id do it myself. Went to Home Depot, and did the job for $13.00 for 20 minutes of work. It was something Id never done before, and had hoped to use a plumber, just in case something went wrong. But next time Ill just plan to do it myself. AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS. They dont want to do the work, they just want to collect their $49 fee. *** In response to the owners comment below -- yes, plumbing can be very complicated, but you dont explain why your technician quoted me $400 for 15 minutes of work with a $13 part from home depot. Also, I notice you were quick to respond on the internet, but didnt actually call me to address my complaint. ***
