Im very unhappy about the shift to all digital on cable. The screen freezes a LOT. I tried to watch one show yesterday and the only parts where sound an moving picture were present was for maybe 10 seconds at a stretch, except for commercials. A big black box pops and wont go away until you change the volume, and then pops right back up again so we cant see the bottom half of the screen. This is worse than NOT having a TV at all. At least I used to have one normal TV where I could watch a small selection of shows when the digital signal one was totally useless. It does work once in a while, and sometimes it might even make it through a whole show, but it is NOT trustworthy. If you get involved in a show and the suspense is building, you can bet the screen will freeze and sound cut off just at the climax of the story. And now youre forcing us to go digital on all TVs. I may just have to throw them all out and quit watching TV at all. Very very bad!!!!! (And yes, Ive reset the box over and over. It only takes a moment, according to the screen, and 15 minutes later its back on, doing the same crap it was doing before.) I cant remember the last time I saw a show all the way through on the TV with digital.

trying to return cable dvr boxes and remotes after switching to DirectTv and theyre only open 9-1. God forbid those of with jobs can return the boxes during "reasonable" business hours. wtf. just another reason i am delighted i dropped these crooks and their obvious disdain for their customers.

If you like high prices and terrible service, Charturd is the cable company for you. Even better are the helpful hours here for their service center. In case you work for a living you will have to take a personal day to switch out a box.
