When the service worked it did work ok the problem was that it dropped about 2 to 3 times per hour I tried to get them to repair it multiple times they check the modem said it was fine but the modem dropped to three times and they have to confirm on both my in their side my router on the other hand though never had issues how to live with this for 1&a half years the problem with the service also with customer support they only were available Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. and they were very unwilling to schedule time within normal time to anybody was available outside of work hours made it impossible to work with made it impossible to get the service that I needed at the corresponding times I needed lived with if you service for one and a half years I am happy to move out but that even is difficult to try to get it cancelled on time

Im guessing people who gave Selco 5 stars have never actually used the cable or internet provided by them. Sincerely the most awful ISP available today. Not to mention, if you know the first thing about internet connectivity you can spot their scams from a mile away. Theyll try to sell you garbage modems for somewhere around twice the retail value before you even ask your question, and thats just the beginning. When asked why I get typically 2mbps download speed (when Im paying for 20!), I was told that I "cant expect 20mbps all the time". Well Selco, can I at least expect it MOST of the time? How about at least SOME of the time??? Because I can tell you I have NEVER had anywhere near the internet speed that I pay for. Moral of the story: if you can avoid Selco, do so at all costs.

Absolute CRAP. People think that they own the company. I cant understand why there should be a monopoly and why is not there a competitor. Horrible customer service very rude. Not available where required. They observe all public holidays dont you know you are a service company and should be available 24/7 for customer service. One star rating, they dont deserve it either............... Apple to apple far superior technology and far lower price is available with other commercial service providers. They argue that the choice is dish.....hey this is a free capitalist county we want choice and competitive business.....

Edited from in one star to 4 stars on 7/24/17: My internet constantly kept dropping for the 2 years that I lived there. I had called them a couple of times during which they tried fixing it remotely, which never fixed the problem. However, that was also my fault for not persistently following up. When I did persistently follow up, the technicians came by twice and fixed the problem. The call operator was always very nice and the technicians were very nice too.

I hate their service. Been in Shrewsbury, you dont have much of an option but to use SELCO (Monopoly) as your service provider. Mind you I have GOLD, the supposedly HIGH speed internet, but its slow as molasses...not to mention the disruptions is unbelievable. 1 hour and 45 minutes movie ran into a bit more than 2 hours because it keeps on stopping. It doesnt matter how many time you reset your internet, if the service is bad......its just BAD!

I have never had internet this terrible. Even when a phone is on the wifi it brings it down to a crawl. Someone needs to put competition in this town because Im absolutely fed up with this crap. I have stuff I need to do at home for work and this internet is so unreliable and slow its worst than some dial up Ive had. Not to mention over priced for this garbage with a data cap??? Really?

A truly mediocre at best cable internet service. Since they have a monopoly over the town of Shrewsbury, they have little motivation to have competitive prices, services, or customer support. The internet is slow and overpriced, the cable is lackluster and overpriced, and the phone service is, wait, people still use phone service? If I could switch to another provider, I would.

IT is terrific for internet problems or needs. Billing however is TERRIBLE. So confusing a report! And the close and due dates are not coordinated enough to know when Ive correctly paid. Im constantly calling to check if/when they received payment --and theyve needed to get that fixed going on 16 years now!

I would give them a lower rating if possible. Monopolize cable internet availability, horrendous on demand options, and we pay nearly half of what our rent is for the jacked up price version of Charter cable. SELCO is pathetic and hopefully they get a competitor because they will lose ALL business. Just awful

Lynda at Shewsbury Electric Cable has been extremely helpful in setting up a payment plan for my electric. She helped me catch up and thats a great feeling. If you are having trouble making the full payment, call her at the main office, Im sure she would help you too.

The worst service. They are not open of weekends. So if you have any issues or need to schedule something on a weekend you are completely out of luck. They also have horrible customer service. Their services cannot compete with the larger cable providers.
