Overall, Id have to say that Ive been quite pleased with Cox over the 6 years since Ive been "living" with them. They are mostly responsive, courteous, and willing to do all that they can to help when you need it. The service rates a 5 star plus, in my opinion. But my rating is lowered CONSIDERABLY because I live in Meriden, and have had to deal with the office on East Main St. On my second visit to the office, back a few years, I was verbally abused and assaulted, humiliated, and pretty much run out of the office by one hulking employee. (There was no conflict: he appeared to be self-provoked.) I called the police, and they suggested that I call Cox management in Rhode Island, which I did. They were very sympathetic and promised to do anything they could to correct the situation; several years have passed, and the man is still there, and ive seen him treat other customers the same way he treated me. As an active professional in town Ive heard many of my clients complain about the same man, for the same reasons. Its sad - but Cox could have helped the situation by at least transferring him, but for some reason I guess theyre scared of him, too. I would change to another company for this reason alone -- if I could do so!

This rating is for customer service at the Cox store in Meridan, CT that I visited to return equipment. The staff was courteous, greeted me upon entering, immediately took the items and gave me a return receipt. The whole process was less than 5 minutes, which is a marked change from waiting 1+hrs to return Comcast equipment. In terms of customer service, Cox has been a positive experience and far better than previous cable companies I have dealt with. The only issue I have is the lack of service centers with only 3 locations to return equipment in the entire state. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

They give you this promotion for a year and after that they try to get you with oh, the promotion ended now your bill is almost 200 from 116. As far as Im concerned they are a bunch of crooks and more and more people.should cancel their service with them. They play these games like there is nothing we can do. All these managers and employees who come out with these rediculous rates for these services should be ashamed and pray that more people open up their eyes and realize Cox communications rips people off and that is what they do best I hope they go out of business for taking advantage of customers.

Just wanted to check hours that Tech Service is available. Called my local office # in Meriden, CT during regular weekday business hours and finally got call center in India (?) after trying various extensions and not getting anywhere. Agent had a hard time trying to find regular hours and without any answer cell phone call was dropped or I was cut off (for the 2nd time) on that end. Even though the agent took my # to call me back in this event, she has not done so. Now no answer as to simple question of hours for Tech Service and no way to find out. This is not a good sign of things to come.

Monthly bill keeps increasing for "faster internet" that cuts out and buffers constantly. Representative finagled my mother, who is not technologically literate, into deals and offers we dont have the necessity for nor means to take on with our tvs. My hotspot on a 3G phone is more consistent than the internet speed of this amazing bundle and being forced to have a landline phone in the bundle is abusive. Unfortunately, I cannot switch to another big provider because we cant have a dish hooked up, which Cox knows they can capitalize on. Horrendously disappointed.

Horrendous. No working cable for 2 months. They had to run new lines through my apartments, had a tech come in without prior notice and cut corners (i.e., the line was run to 1/2 of the building but not to my unit, and now Im on my third phone-call with them trying to get them to finish the job ... they gave me another 2 week notice). Completely unacceptable and unprofessional - only saving grace (i.e., why they get 2 stars and not 1) is that I have been fully refunded from the start of service.

One star for now. They will not disclose package deals if you are already a customer. They kept my elderly mother locked in at an absurd rate for TV and Internet. Spent 2.5 hours on phone with customer service trying to lower her plan and every step of the way they resisted my request for the lowest possible plans. Shes been paying over 200.00 a month. Will repost with results of an in person visit to their Connecticut office.

Hey David, you should probably do a spell check before you talk trash on a rating system for cox, let me guess. They didnt show your team because they were playing a uconn game, which shocked the critics and won it all. LOL You probably should of upgraded your package and stopped being so cheap. as a new customer to cox cabel i had 3 bad incidents before i even go my cable installed. wrong address, fixed that took me 3 hours on the phone day of instillation did not come claimed in 2 different phone calls. 1) wrong address 2) wrong date What when i spend 3 hours on phone with a person who claims that they were a competent worker

Absolutely sucks. We have called Cox technical support to come out and fix the problems of the Internet crashing constantly and they say nothing Is wrong. They end up making it worse. We r tired of the Internet and cable not working when we need it to not when it wants to. We r paying $250 a month for something that is not stable.

Told me one thing in the phone when I got there(the cox office) they wanted a $100 more. I spent 2 hrs on the phone getting transfored from one person to another back to the first one to someone else it was crazy they need to retrain there employees so they all know what the hell there doing...

Cost way too much money, always have to call because your bill jumps up to 200 from 130 ... Not open on sundays, Makes you pay huge amount to have the faster internet, that I always have trouble with 4g cell much faster. Want to switch but few options and heard the other satilate
