While they have the best internet in the area, they have bloated pricing on everything. Each cable box costs $7.50 per month, and you cannot purchase one so this fee is forever. After the "Triple Play" deal expired the bill went to $225 per month. Would have been nice to know that in advance. Cancelling the $70 TV package and opting for the low tier $16.95 TV package didnt change much, as my Internet increased $10, as did my phone service. So I cancelled $70 TV program and opted for cheaper $16 package, and they said I was getting a discount on the internet, and phone, and that those would go up $10 each... So by removing 70 or so channels I saved about $33... Whats sad is I have four cable boxes, and at $7.50 each per month it costs $30. My TV package only costs $16.95. Im paying twice as much to rent the boxes as I am for the service. Everytime I bring something back to reduce the bill something else magically costs more. If I drop the phone service my internet will go up another $10. So if I had internet only it would be $89.95... Im tired of this crap hole with overpriced everything. Everyone who works here is miserable, and gives you an attitude. Last week two employees were going back and forth in front of the customers... I like the internet service here as its reliable, but once Verizon Fios is in the area all this crap is going back for good. Im sick of this company, dealing with their service, and bloated fees.

The price has been going up every year, been with this cable company for over 50 years, from $29.00 it has gone to $200.00 a month. My home insurance is $1100.00 year. Which is $91.00 a month. Cable is $2400.00 a year. My car payment is $157.00 a month, my insurance on car is $ 139.00 a month full coverage with $500.00 deductible. Cable is which in the evening for maybe 3 to four hours. And sometimes not at all. Plus we lose picture or its scrambled 30% of the time. Phone hardly gets used every one calls the cell phone and we use the cell phone all the time for everything. The computer never gets used my wife doesnt no the first thing about it. Im home two months of the year, are they kidding us. I think the people should stand up and boycotts cable. And start using firestick, Dish. Or Direct tv. Once we all stick together they will stop the monopoly, only thing I have thats changed is three boxes none have DVRs.

I have been having difficulties with my "Outlook"; this little box pops up and asks for my password--I spent hours on the phone with Dell who told me the issue originates with my server "Optonline". I called them and they had me listen to elivator music for fourteen minutes and then they came on the line for a second and then "CLICK" gone--dial tone. For $250 a month I get hung up on when I call for service. Cablevision service has gone from bad to worse-- I have subscribed to your service since the seventies when it first started. I am an inch from telling you folks to shove off. Two days on the phone to fix your glitch is just unacceptable.

The worst internet and service ever. I dont know how they get away with it. This has more to do with the internet then the store. Hate cable vision I have been battling for years to get a good picture and internet that works. Whenever I call its like starting from scratch. Hopefully there will be another option out there soon enough. To make things worse now you have to have a box connected to each set. Its free the first year but after that then they will charge you per box. Why? Cause they dont make enough money? When will FIOS get here. !!!!!!

Customer service is extremely horrible!!!! Since , June i have been trying to make a payment and no one in the f--ing company had the time to email or to call me to let me know that my account number was apparently wrong. i revise my checking account number from my profile and it is completely right. They decide to interrupt my services and it takes them over 24hr to restore. If i had the chance to use another internet provider, i would have cancel this crappy service a long time ago. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Unfortunate for me, my town is run by a bunch of crooks and therefore Im stuck with a provider that overprices their services and tries hard to sell you thing you dont need. Im getting charged 3 times more than what I should be paying for slow internet and it pisses me off how customer service treats everyone like theyre idiots. Why would I want to pay for a phone line and then suggest that I keep it unplugged just because the phone line is convenient to have and comes at a reduced price?

I have no idea what more than half of these people are talking about. Optimum is a great service: their customer service is among the best, their Ultra 50 internet is amazing, and their prices are reasonable. They offered me a FREE router when I was having trouble with the NetGear router I had previously. People usually get slow internet problems because their router isnt compatible with the modem being used, or they arent following Optimum regulations & guidelines; plain and simple.

They had only two people helping customers with a line almost out the door, they moved like dead turtles on top of that. When I finally get to speak to someone they explain by getting rid of my tv service I end up paying about the same anyway unless I go to the worst internet they have. I HATE Cablevision, I wish FIOS was in my area. DirectTV Now has 100+ channels of live internet tv for only 35 a month, thats why I got rid of Cablevision tv, they suck so bad.

Dolan (Cablevision) and Brookhaven Town Board are in bed together... That is why Verizon cannot get into Brookhaven and will not be able to for at least the next 5- 10yrs. I just use them for Internet service now. TV through Hulu and and HDTV antenna from Best Buy for $40 which gives u broadcast basics (2-30) in HD! Saves $$$$ big money. Thank you Congress! Traditional TV is going the way of the dinosaur with the Walkman :)

I am unhappy with the fact that Verizon will not bid to compete with Optimum Online in our town (Brookhaven Town). That leaves Cablevision as our only cable company, and they are free to charge whatever they want. Over the years weve cut down to only using their broadband service. We used to pay them for TV and Phone, too, but we found them to be very expensive, especially the cable TV service!

Their prices are absolutely ridiculous. Whats even more ridiculous is the fact that the town of Brookhaven cant get Fios because cablevision has a contract with them and wont allow Fios in our area Otherwise I would have switche years ago. Totally and ridiculously unfair... Absolutely HATE cablevision. Over 800 channels and never a Damn thing on. Wish there was a way for me to give zero stars

Ive had Cablevision for 28 years. Though their prices are high, due to lack of competition, their service has been great all these years. The few times the service went down, they were quick to respond. All service personal have been professional. I am moving to Florida so I will no longer be a customer any longer. Thanks,Cablevision for the great service over the past 28 years.
