Paid $100 for a diagnostic. Picked it up the same day and my car was making a new noise. Called saying I was bringing it back the next day since they were closing. Next day I didnt make it there because my car stopped in the middle of driving in traffic.towed it to my house. Went to pep boys to get a refund since I was given the wrong diagnostic. They begged me to have it towed to them so they could fix the problem but still didnt want to give me a refund. One guy told me I wouldnt be charged for labor or towing so i had it towed to them. NOW they know what the problem was and wanted to charge me over $150 for labor but gave me a little discount on the car piece that i needed. (since all this happened to my car it killed my new car battery by the way).So again I asked for my refund for the diagnostic and wanted my car towed back since the guy who said i wouldnt be charged was gone for the day! was given a refund for the diagnostic finally. But now towing it back was a hastle! Had to make 2 phone calls and explain all over because I was told Id get charged $70 to tow back! After about a half hour pep boys paid for the towing. So now not only did i miss going to work for the day, but i wasted money towing my car home because of the wrong diagnostic, I still have to buy the piece I need plus another car battery! They dont have to worry about ever seeing my face again.

I used to enjoy having my car serviced at pep boys. I never felt like I was being over charged, I never had to wait for hours on end for my car to be serviced. Until recently I was told I needed a part replaced, I was quoted a price for the part which I thought was extremely high so I shopped online and got it for about half of what pep boys wanted to charge. Verified it was the right part and made the appointment. Well I show up for my appointment nice and early only to find out the person who was doing the work wasnt there. No phone call to me to notify me/reschedule my appointment. I understand these things happen but the lack of communication, courtesy, respect for my time ticked me off but I keep my cool and reschedule for the same day the next week same time. Well this time I called ahead to ask if the person working on my car was in. This time I was told two other people were booked in the same time frame as my appointment and that I could call back to see if the mechanic was available. In other words they totally disregarded my appointment. I never called back. Both incidents displayed poor customer service and gave the impression theyre not interested in my business. I will not being going back or recommending them to anyone.

Disgusting business. Car stopped working late on a Sunday afternoon, it wouldnt start and we assumed it was the starter. Everything was closed so pep boys was the only option. It stayed overnight and was checked on monday morning. At this point everything seemed legit, as soon as i got there and asked about the car i was told it was the starter which seemed right. BUT THIS IS WHERE IT GETS SHADY. I was told that 2 simple starter cables had to ship from ohio and that it would take until friday. That is a joke! And a scam. All so that id have to pay for all the days of it being stored. 1 phone call to a trusty mechanic friend and i had the parts in less than 2 hours. When i told the guy behind the counter he wasnt even surprised! After me pleading for him to check other places. I promptly left and got a tow truck to take my car somewhere else. And got it fixed on the same day. This place is a joke and it preys on the ignorance of its clients! And please spare me the bot reply. Im done with you guys.

I only called to speak with someone in service to look up a customers last maintenance with them and the "Assistant Service Manager" was rude to me right off the bat. I am in the same position he is at a dealership, and I would never talk to customers the way he spoke to me. First, I was speaking "too fast" and he stopped me in my tracks to tell me so. Then, Pepboys apparently doesnt keep records of what vehicles they have done maintenance on by the VIN, which is terrible customer service. Then he explained to me that he programs were not mine, and he couldnt operate the way I do. I then asked to speak to a manager and he was "the only available one" . All in all, dealership or no dealership, in our position there is no need for the poor attitude and rude behavior of this "manager".

The only nice person Ive interacted with here was the female manager, and shes the reason for the extra star. I had an appointment for the afternoon, and after sitting there for 2hr without any service, I asked for my keys back to leave. I went back later that evening cuz it was crucial I get in, and she had witnessed the tail end of my struggle with the morning/afternoon crew and grabbed someone to work on my car immediately. She apologized for the earlier crews actions and comments -- the mechanics and desk worker in the morning/afternoon were making comments about how I wasnt a man because I didnt know how to fix my own car. Not ok. So yes, besides her, I have never had a good experience here. Given them enough chances.

Incompetent and unprofessional staff. My boyfriend went here for an oil change after we met for lunch around noon, by the time I was out at 3:30 he was STILL there... FOR AN OIL CHANGE. They claimed they "forgot" about him. Are you kidding me? Besides that the girl working the service desk was not busy at all, she was taking selfies and attempting to flirt with the mechanics. Every time he went up to ask what was going on she would walk away. Absolutely unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE.

I walked in and asked how much an oil change would be. The worker said $20 special today. When it was done I got a bill for $50. I asked the man why is this? He said the oil change is $20 the labor is $30. SMH. Stay away. That is horrible service and Ive heard of them doing this to other people too.

Went to get a leak sealed on one of my tires. Showed up and I waited an hour. I went over to ask how much long and the response was, " oh we forgot you were here" I got my keys went a mile down the rd and pulled into a tiny shop. They sealed my tires in 10 minutes. Never using pep boys again.

This is a first and last. Brought in a fleet vehicle , found it needed ball joints. They had none in stock. I said I will be back in a week. I arrived for appointment They never ordered it. NEVER WILL I RETURN

Horrible, staff is extremely unprofessional they go back and forth with each other I waiting about 3 hours for a tire change. Worst place wouldnt even give them a star....
