Blue Oak Moving handled my recent move from Milford to Grand Rapids. My company paid for the move fortunately so I did not compare rates. However, I have much experience with moving companies. Ive had the misfortune of dealing with sloppy companies that were all about "jam it in and lets go." Fortunately these guys were different. The driver explained to my husband and I that the company has a policy that all wood pieces must have moving blankets wrapping them before they are aloud to take out of the house. Initially I felt the wrapping was a bit excessive, but it made all the difference. My pieces arrived in Grand Rapids in pristine condition and the guys were polite throughout the entire day. I cant imagine the amount of hard work it takes to move an entire home in a single day only to have a smile on the face at the end of the day. Real life superheros these men were. We made certain to have them for pizzas and pop after the move. I asked them what part of town they would be staying in for the evening. They replied "Were going back to Cincinatti!" Very impressive. I liked the guys alot and the company itself kept me updated and well prepared prior.

After requesting a quote online and speaking with a representative at the Blue Oak Moving office we decided to give them a try ourselves. We scheduled them for four men and two trucks to relocate our three bedroom home about 80 miles. Considering there was a longer distance involved for our move, I wanted to make certain we hired a credible and reliable professional mover. They promised that with service materials would be complimented and the move would be done for a flat rate of $2,645. The pricing was pretty inline with what others were quoting and their testimonials appeared to be superior to the rest. My wife and I gave them a deposit by cashiers check and waited for the move day. On the move day the four men arrived as promised in two fully outfitted trucks. All proper equipment was on the truck. All men were in uniform and understood their role for the day. The load up transpired quicker than I had initially anticipated. Before we knew it we were directing where to move pieces into at the new address. The overall move went far smoother than anticipated. Far smoother than experiences Ive had in the past with other companies.

Personally I was impressed with the work of Blue Oak Moving. We did not have an easy job considering my father had thirty years of things in his garage, basement, and home. We decided when he was downsizing each of these pieces we would put into storage. I wanted to be certain of course that the furnishings and other pieces were handled with care considering many of them have both monetary and sentimental value.
