Owner May I offer some advice . I googled this location for the business hours, saw the store had an extremely poor ratings and was curious as to why. It is not the poor customer reviews which make me not want to come in , its your defensive, passive-aggressive response to each and every one of your customers who have ever had an unpleasant experience. In one sentence youre apologizing to the customer then in the next, telling them theyre exaggerating From a business standpoint, that is not a way to gain nor keep customers. As annoying as they may be sometimes, the customer is always right and you absolutely can not tell them "theyre exaggerating" no matter how irritated you are. Word of mouth is extremely powerful and you likely lost countless customers all because you can not control yours. Perhaps some business management courses at the local community college would be beneficial? From this, I will avoid this store and just wait until Monday to have my pickups scheduled as usual. One last thought: you are a "full service" UPS which means you package, label and TAPE, yet you are telling the customer they are not allowed to tape due to the noise? Sounds more like you just want the money for the full service and are using noise as an excuse.

So I had a vizio TV shipped from Detroit to Washington. Kristy (I believe thats her name) was very helpful in getting this done for me. Very polite and a pleasure talking to her on the phone. Unfortunately my TV did get busted. No problem, I opted for the insurance. It did take a while for the process to happen, about a month, but Idid get the money back plus the shipping cost. This is why only 4 instead of 5. Still a 4 because I did bug Kristy many times on the phone and she was still very polite and eager to help. One thing I did learn though is that I was lucky to get my money. Even though I used the original box with all the original cardboard and styrofoam, which wasnt cracked or broken, and had everything perfect inside the box, usually people dont get their money back. UPS does have strict guidelines for packaging. Too many reviews I, have read, in which the package wasnt properly contained. Mine should have been in an additional box with packing styrofoam balls, but I got lucky with how thorough it was packed. (I believe). Just an fyi. UPS will package for you correctly for a fee. Thanks again Kristy for all your help.

When asked by the owner to remove my package from the scale and place it on the floor behind the counter I explained to her due to injury I am unable to bend over to put things to the ground. Her response is I should have taken the package somewhere else then and then threw the package off the scale to the floor. Heres an idea Cheryl, if life is so miserable for you in your UPS Store, do something else. If you cant lift a package weighing 47lbs to put it on your cart, maybe hire someone who can so people dont have to deal with your piss poor attitude. Maybe hire some people who dont openly attempt to embarras customers because of their disability.

Flat out lied to me about being able to schedule a pickup and create a call-tag. Physically went in-store to have this done (which the same person helping me set up my last one) and was told it couldnt be done. Come to find out after I scheduled it myself online and ups was being scheduled to pick it back up, and the store magically now has the ability to create the call-tag and schedule the pickup. I honestly feel like this was done to me due to the volume of customers she had in the store and didnt want to deal with it. Horrible customer service that has cost me money and time, with no appreciation for the business their customers provide.

Both the stores in Wyandotte and Brownstown are extremely petty. For example (Brownstown location), I was asked that I not tape my packages up inside of the store because "...its too noisy and I have to lean in to hear the customers." So wait, I cannot prepare my package for shipping at a UPS shipping store? REALLY?! My second example from yesterday (Wyandotte location 2/25) I again needed to prepare my files for shipping. I was told that, "From this point forward, you are no longer allowed to bring your tape gun into the store for safety reasons. If you cut yourself, you could sue us."

The woman at the counter was very helpful and took the time to help me get my label printed from my email. I rated a 4 star because they rarely answer the phone when you call. The automated phone service directs you to call another number to speak with customer service. When you call that number you are put in a que. My wait time was six minutes! I chose to drive to the store to ask my question because it was faster than if I waited!

Came in with a problem tracking my package. The lady at the counter rudley informed me that they are a franchise and she couldnt help. While thats all fine and dandy, she couldnt even give me and idea of who could help me. It wasnt the fact that she didnt have the power to help that annoyed me, it was the fact that she was very rude about it and acted like I was annoying her by even asking.

Wow. First time Ive left a place outraged in a long time... Roll of tape, bubble wrap & a box = $38 Roll of tape, bubble wrap & a box at Wal-Mart = $13 Theres my review. This "store" is pretty much a straight up clip joint. If you go here, its because you hate yourself, or you have too much money and dont have a match handy to just set it on fire.

Printed a UPS label with high dollar value claim. Waited in line 15 minutes to be told they do not sign for high dollar claim packages even though my label says I can drop it off at this store. Whats that tell you abut the franchise confidence in UPS if they wont sign for a high dollar shipment? What a waste of time.

I visit, at least once a week, for work shipments, and the staff is very friendly. The ladies have a candy jar and make sure that I get my fix of Tootsie Rolls. The staff provides great customer service, and work quickly to ensure that your visit is not long. -Carmen Fudge

Very poor customers service skills and attitudes all around. The staff was very rude, not only to me but other customers in the store. Ive always been please with UPS shipping services in the past, but I would not recommend using this location.

So far so good! Ive shipped large items with prepaid labels with no problem. Received what I needed. Two times I had to have a employee help me pick out a box for my item and try to get the lowest shipping cost. They were helpful

Shipped stuff in the past fairly well with little problem. Serve our AT&T box back. They didnt give us receipt. Months later I had to fight with at&t because they were supposed to give us the receipt with tracking info.
