While the place is always clean and taken care of, the owner doesnt care about his customers. I have been going here for years and last week watched him scold a customer for using his own mitt (with no bucket) to wash his car. Another customer stated that "it takes just as long as using the provided brush" and that if this is how he treats his customers hed let others know to stay away, to which the owner responded "good, I dont need your kind (car enthusiasts) slowing down my business." I used to really like this place and didnt mind paying the premium for good products and a clean facility. After seeing how car enthusiasts are treated I will be taking my business else ware from now on. Very disappointing.

Grand Prix is very conveniently located in downtown Clawson and is my favorite car wash to go to. I have a convertible, so Im always worried about the giant machines and brushes damaging my vinyl top and this self-serve makes up for it. The place is always clean and is a VERY good price. There are several different modes to use from rinse, to wax, to engine bay cleaner, and a high pressure mode. My only complaint is that the ten quarters you pay are only good for a couple of minutes- which is useless and will leave you with a soapy car if you forget more change. I always bring fifteen quarters, which buys me about five minutes.

Clean place but super expensive. I didnt realize a quarter got me 15 seconds. I tried to put more money in and the machine cut off on me. Then you have to pay 2.50 to start it up again. Also, I understand you dont want people hogging the bays with a bucket to wash their car, but youll still get 5.00 out of me just to use your water... So why not set hours for bucket washing... Like after 8 PM or something. Makes me not want to come here.

Cleanest self spray wash in the area. Always well maintained, even in the wintertime. Self service kiosk (change machine and vending wash products) are always stocked. Wands are serviced regularly (no leaks) and always have full warm water pressure. Options for spray wand - soap dispenser, wax, etc are always works. Wash brush works as intended and emits thick foam. Vacuum operates with powerful suction. Keep it up!

Very clean, very well maintained. Owner buys new hoses/wands on a yearly basis. Lays new asphalt and paints new lines on a yearly basis. The water pressure here is much higher than other local coin op washes. Soaps are effective and safe to use.

BIL Schmitz

Expensive. Cost me 2 bucks to vacuum. 6 bucks to wash. 2.50 to start for 2.5 min then a quarter every 15 seconds. Its a rip off. 8 bucks to clean my car normally costs 4 our 5 everywhere else. I only have a 99 Monte Carlo. Its not a big car.

Clean place, functional equipmemt and all the soap selections always work. I dont know why there arent places like this in Farmington Hills!
