Moving has to be one of the most stressful thing to do in life. I had never done anything like this before. (The last time I moved, I owned 1/10 of the stuff and could move with a couple of friends and a rental truck.) Id heard horror stories of the estimate being too low and the company holding belongings hostage. Id heard stories of furniture being ruined or walls being ruined or things going missing. I was totally terrified. University Moving allayed my fears. I was able to get an estimate using Facetime. This was so easy! I walked around my house opening closets and cabinets and showing my furniture. The video was then used to make the estimate. Day of move was pretty smooth. I was upset and overwhelmed, but Joe and Chris arrived and kept me focused. They had me take my keys, medicine and anything I would need in the next day out. Anything I was moving myself was put in a pile. Then the work began. If there was anything they were not sure on, they asked. How the most fragile things were going to be packed was explained to me in detail. It was a really hot day and I would have understood if they needed to take more breaks, but they barely stopped working all day. The next day, I got a text letting me know that the estimate was good and what time the truck would arrive. When unloading began, I was shown all of the fragile items to make sure that they were intact. As many boxes went to the correct location as would fit. The kitchen boxes had to go in the garage, but they were put in the most accessible location for me to unpack. Nothing was just dumped. Everything was handled very professionally and I never felt like I had made a mistake in hiring this company. The true test is what Im finding as I unpack... Boxes are correctly labeled and things were packed better than I would have packed them myself.

Started with the low packing calculations by the person who came to house in Canton. After movers left house on moving day, we found one side of overhead cupboards was not packed... Thank goodness we had a box available to pack the can goods in and take in car with us. After the truck unloaded here in Florida and we started unpacking boxes ...one was a wardrobe box labeled garage. Inside were a couple shovels, rakes, metal planter poles, and 2 shattered yard decos. Why they were packed in a box with heavy metal items is beyond me! No amount of rolled up paper was going to protect them. One item was a red, white and blue blown glass yard art on a garden pole.. This item was made for me by my gramm, who is now deceased and the other damage was hummingbird gazing ball I received as a birthday gift. I contacted customer support sending pics of damages, who sent me a claim form. I am unable to provide a value as one item was gifted and the other homemade. So I am S.O.L. The idiot who packed the box should be the one reimbursing me !! I still have more unpacking to do.. Can hardly wait to see what other damage Ill find. SO DONE WITH NORTH AMERICAN AND THEIR ENTITIES!!

This was a little tricky. If I could, Ive give my packing/loading crew 3/5 and the unloading crew 5/5 (hence the average 4/5). The loading crew seemed a bit disorganized in that they nearly forgot a few things and a few liquids that they had packed had spilled onto other things (no damage). Somehow, laundry detergent got on many (cloth) items, but Im not sure what actually happened to my bottle of laundry detergent; it left my old place but didnt come to my new place. That being said, they packed fairly quickly, gave me a clear inventory, nothing was damaged, and only laundry detergent (small/easily replaced) went missing. Unloading crew was very professional, friendly and quick. They set up furniture and left it approximately where I wanted it (I was a bit indecisive. No complaints. Admin staff (Susan) was very professional and called multiple times to check on me. Move took place within the time frame she specified at the outset. Overall satisfied.

University Moving & Storage was fantastic! I moved to the US from overseas with about 10,000 lbs in household goods. I was really worried when only three guys were inside the semi-truck that pulled up in front of my house, I honestly didnt think they could move everything into the house in a single day but they did. Larry, Don, and Pat were funny, courteous, and professional. The company at my last duty station packed heavy things into enormous boxes, making their lives difficult but these guys powered through. Larry (Huddleston) was a true problem solver - I have rather large bedroom furniture and didnt think the headboard or dresser were going to fit up the narrow staircase. He removed the legs on my headboard and managed to squeeze the dresser up with less than a 1/2" gap between it and the walls - saving me from having to donate/sell it and buy another set. Ill be calling you guys to send him back the next time I move or when I do sell it!

I met Matt from University Moving & Storage a couple of months ago. I was so impressed with the services he told me their company provides that I recommended them to my client who moved yesterday. This was no ordinary move but one of an elderly person, moving from her "forever home" into an assisted living facility. A lot of planning and communicating with Matt and many others took place before the actual move and they were always prompt, professional, and helpful in every communication we had. The movers arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. yesterday morning which is unheard of in my previous experience with moving companies. The two men assigned to my client turned this very emotional time into a pleasant and smooth experience for my clients. I am eager to work with University Moving & Storage again for my future clients. Thank you to everyone who helped make this move a success!

We are so absolutely IMPRESSED by these moving professionals, their abilities and timeliness for our local move. Between my friends and I (who were with us today), we have hired 3 other moving companies in the past 5 years and they are not even in the same category as University Moving! I have never seen movers so efficient, polite and conscientious as these gentleman are. I know University has a wonderful reputation, but the proof is in the pudding, and this is above even my highest expectations. In addition to all of our furniture, they even moved a Harley that wasnt running as well as a 600 lb gun safe into our basement. They sent a professional out to do a quote, and had someone overseeing the process of our move the whole time. This was an A+ from start to finish. We highly recommend them and if we could give 100 stars we would. Thank you for everything!

Id like to take a few minutes of your time to let you know that you have an excellent employee working for you... His name is Tony Osorio. Tony and Jaun disassembled, loaded, hauled and unloaded and reassembled all of my Mothers household furniture and belongings. We were very impressed with their professionalism and politeness they expressed to my mom and I. They went out of their way, over and above, to make sure every piece of furniture was wrapped, packaged and secured in their truck to prevent damage and/or breakage. Once everything was delivered (ahead of schedule) not one item was scratched, chipped or broken. I would highly recommend "University Moving and Storage Co" to anyone thats in need of a reliable moving company. Your company and "this crew" made what we thought would be a nightmare into a very pleasant experience. Many thanks form me and my Mom.
