I saw this place online and thought I would try it out since it was closer than my usual mechanic, but I would never recommend this place to anyone! I dropped my car off Wednesday night because they told me they could get to it Thursday, I didnt hear anything from them until I called Thursday night and they said they didnt have a chance to look at it yet. Friday afternoon came around and first they called telling me that nothing was wrong with my car. Later they called back giving me a very detailed report of everything I needed repairs. I was well aware I was due for an oil change in 300 miles, It was time for a break change, at 100,000 miles it is recommended to change timing belt etc etc, however that was not what I asked them to look at or fix! I was given a quote to fix all of the repairs which was basically more than my car is even worth, and they didnt even tell me what the main problem was. I am really disappointed about not having my car fixed and wasting 2 days sitting in there lot when I could have brought it to my mechanic. I was disappointed I was charged 80 for them to diagnose and inspect my car, I wouldnt have a problem paying this if I felt like they gave me an accurate diagnosis of what I needed, not just a run down of the repairs due after so many miles. Most mechanics waive this fee if they ever want your business again....

I just got my car back from the Christian Brothers Automotive, and couldnt be happier with my experience. I know absolutely nothing about cars, so when my coolant was constantly empty and my heat monitor through the roof, I didnt know who to call. I asked around, and Christian Brothers was the only one who could take my car in the next day! They were super friendly on the phone and happy to help me with my situation. I took my car in at 7:30 am, anticipating the dreaded wait time of having a car in the shop. Not only was their waiting room charming and air conditioned, but they kindly offered to drop me off wherever I needed to go for free as it might take a while. I was floored by the kindness I received, and was immediately put as ease by the professionalism. By 11:00 am, they had finished fixing the problem (could go into detail there but Im not going to embarrass myself by trying to describe it and getting it wrong) and my car was ready to go! They told me that if I had any problems with it to bring it back in as it would probably be under their warranty. I was thoroughly impressed with my service there, and would not go anywhere else. If you want a hassle-free, friendly and reliable experience, give them a call and they will not let you down. Thank you for the courtesy and service, Christian Brothers Automotive! -Katrina

What I appreciate most about Christian Brothers Automotive is that it is run by highly interpersonal people. Rob, the manager, took a significant amount of time past closing hours to discuss my experience at his shop. From that conversation, I learned why I felt that Christian Brothers was not the best option for my vehicles repairs. The market Christian Brothers is trying to reach is the group of car owners who are looking for premium work and premium parts. As such, it should be expected that the technicians at Christian Brothers will have premium diagnostic fees and price quotes. Christian Brothers was not the right automotive shop for my purposes. The four-star rating is due to the fact that I believe there should be increased communication to customers that the quotes are based off of the highest quality work and parts available. If you are looking for high quality, long-lasting work from highly skilled technicians, go to Christian Brothers Automotive. If you are seeking to get an older vehicle driving for a few more years, the service from Christian Brothers may not be your best option. Again, I would like to thank Rob and the technicians at Christian Brothers for their persistently kind and calm demeanor. It is my hope that the market that Christian Brothers serves will continue to feel satisfied with their service.

HONEST, QUALITY SHOP- Ive never been so satisfied with an automotive shop. These guys truly are a cut above the rest. As a car guy, I do most maintenance myself, and Im skeptical of many dealers/shops. First, my exhaust fractured and they repaired it the same day without an appointment. I then had severe clutch engagement problems arise. I had ruled out the hydraulic pumps and lines and was prepared to buy a new clutch so I told them to put one on order. One of their technicians took an extensive look at the entire clutch assembly and found it was a clutch fork issue (much less in repairs). Instead of following through with the clutch assembly they had ordered and make more money, they cancelled the order, fixed the issue, and I was charged a small fraction of what I was initially quoted. Talk about honesty and integrity! That right there sold me; these guys are the pinnacle of what auto shops should be. Communication was exceptional and the shuttle service was a huge plus. Christian Brothers, thank you for proving theres still honest, quality shops out there; youve gained another repeat customer and I will be referring you to others!

I had a check engine light come on and brought my car here to be looked at. It was 80 dollars to tell me the EGR valve needed to be replaced. The quote for the valve was 331 and the labor 45. I thought that seemed a bit high and decided to look elsewhere although I did have over 300 dollars of work done. I found EGR valves at auto parts stores are about 150 dollars. I asked Christian Brothers to install the part and they refused... of course warranty issues. I asked if I waived the warranty and they were in no way liable would they and again they said no. Their explanation "we have to make a large profit on our parts"... I clarified, "a 180 dollar profit? Is the part you carry somehow different?"... "No they are they same, we need to charge more than double almost always". Jeesh! Nice waiting area, seemingly nice staff, but clearly they dont value their customers. Youd be better off finding a small family owned shop.

We recently took our car to Christian Brothers to have a head gasket replaced. I had called ahead of time and they told me the repair would run between $1200-$1600. I said thats what I figured and brought it in the next day. They called me the following day and in addition to the head gasket, read me a litany of things they were going to do (coolant flush, oil change, etc). He also said "we have the water pump out as well so you might as well fix that." Final estimate? $3,500! They just assumed I would have all of it done, they werent recommendations - they included them in the estimate. They sent me an itemized list and I discovered that although their labor charges are fair, their part markups are insane! We ended up taking it to our old mechanic, an hour away. His charge of parts? $700, Christian Brothers charge for same parts $1500! I will never recommend or take my car to Christian Brothers.
