This post office is the worst Ive ever dealt with. I use tracking on all shipping (when available)if it comes to me or leaves from me. I get notifications saying the carrier had no access to deliver mail, yet will deliver other mail the same day. So if there was no access to my mailbox, how did they put everything else in there? Seems a bit contradictory to me. It makes me feel like the carrier forgot it and just uses the no access as an excuse. When I go into the post office many of the workers are annoyed to have to do their job. Rarely do I get a friendly greeting there. Trying to call them is almost impossible. Youre put on hold then forgotten I feel. I would not deal with them if I didnt have to. This is by far the worst place for reliability on any services they offer. Too bad I couldnt leave negative stars.

I was mailing out save the dates for my wedding and took one in to find out how much I needed for postage on it, since it was a custom size (by custom, I mean it was 2in x 6in, instead of 4x6). The lady at the desk was RUDE and flat out said it cant be mailed since it wouldnt fit through their machine.....what??? So, I took it to a different post office with the SAME question, and was told "no problem, youll just have to pay a little extra since it has to be hand sorted, at each post office it gets to." Perfect, no problem at all, I understand. Apparently the Howell Post Office employees arent capable of doing "physical labor" because they can only send things that fit in their machine.

Horrible customer service, cranky and apathetic employees. They would not help me locate my package and told me to get on the phone with their customer service reps and techs. I was on hold for 40 minutes and NEVER got in touch with anyone. Before that, the phone system would not recognize any of my requests and continued to hang up on me. I just wanted my items returned to me and my postage cost refunded. The Howell staff goes to great lengths to make your USPS experience as awful, frustrating, and negative as possible. You should just ship with FedEx. They rock the house.

I have been coming to this post office just about everyday for about four months now and I have yet to have a good experience. Most of the employees are lazy, do not know how to prioritize, and lack in customer service skills. They have a sign saying "skip the lines, drop off ready packages here." but there is not a designated area for drop offs. They get irritated when I wait in line to drop off my ready packages. I will not be coming back to this location. As much of an inconvenience it is, I will be going to the Brighton loction.

this summer I was assisted by a local carrier when I was walking with my small dog down Michigan Ave. Another dog, which was much larger had made several attempts to approach my small dog and even though the postal carrier was quite busy she took the time to help me and even went so far to call the local police. They, the postal workers often have thankless "customers" I am always grateful that they take the time to do what they do in spite of weather or other conditions.

If I could give a 0 stars I would. I have a part time home in Howell and the mail carrier has decided that the house looks empty and has been returning all of my mail to the sender! This is OUTRAGEOUS. Please....talk to people. I have called twice over the last 6 months to say PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE deliver my mail. Who are you to decide that my mail should go back to the sender!

I dont like giving one star or bad reviews, but this place really needs to work on their customer service. Some people here are great, others must hate their job. 5-stars if you are just dropping off your package in the package drop off. If your package was undeliverable, just wait till they go to deliver it. You will waste your time if you drive down there and try to get it.

I called up to get help finding a package that showed delivered a few days ago, and Annette, who answered the phone could not have been nicer or more helpful! I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly she went out of her way to contact the substitute carrier and call me back. I found my package (no fault of the carrier!), and was just very pleased with the experience.

Front desk helpful but route carrier cant seem to read. The front desk has gone out of the way helpful on two incidences and nice to work with. But Amber Oak subdivision you will get to know your neighbors very well with all the wrong delivered mail. Had 2 of 10 packages in the wrong box and scanned as a door/porch delivery.

Horrible service and the employees are obviously VERY unhappy there. You can feel their misery while waiting in line and theyre not very cordial, friendly or professional whatsoever. And if you ever need mail forwarded through this facility plan a 4-6 week waiting period and to not receive most of your forwarded mail.

Went into the Howell, Mi post office today....busiest day of the year (Dec 14) and I had 12 boxes to ship! They had 3 employees working like crazy at the front counter, but they all smiled and greeted every customer. Weve lived in Howell for 30 years and always found our post office employees exceptional!

Usually the people are helpful but many times they can be cranky and like something has upset them. The mail service isnt that great because sometimes packages will be delivered at 2:00 and sometimes there delivered at 5:00 so its very unpredictable when you will receive your mail.

70% of the time fail to deliver packages when they are marked "out for delivery", 20% of time packages come on time, 10% of the time they get completely lost altogether. Terribly incompetent. This is REPEATEDLY the case.

Just moved to the area and miss my old post office. These employees are lazy, irritated with doing the minimal job and make getting mail a chore. I put more effort in getting my mail then they do delivering it.

Dont expect much from these guys. This office is ran incompetently at times. If its out of the ordinary then its probably going to get screwed up. The manager isnt going to do anything to make it right, either.

Its a terrible experience every time. I dread going in there. I sometimes have employees snap at me when I put prepaid items on the counter because theres no need to wait in line. Incredibly irritating.
