*Update - After having some problems with a recent visit and posting to Google a review that was not favorable, Midas Corporate contacted me through email and asked for details about my problem. I explained how some of the work I had gone in for wasnt completed and they asked if I would like to be contacted by someone. I gave my information and within a day, I was called by the general manager of nine local stores - Crystal. After explaining my situation she went out of her way to make sure I was completely satisfied. With options to revisit the Lake Orion location or travel to the Rochester store, I decided to try Rochester. Jim had been in contacted by Crystal and when I arrived, he took me right in and fixed the stud and lug that had been stripped during my previous visit. There is more to the story, but rewriting this review reflects the lengths Midas now goes through to make sure the customer has a positive experience. Thanks Jim and Crystal for making what could have been my last visit to a Midas location to one that makes me want to return. (On a side note, while waiting for my vehicle in Rochester, I began talking with a retired lady who had an older vehicle in for several repair questions including an engine light. Jim popped in several times updating her on coolant and other items that were ok or that could be fixed some time in the future. It was refreshing to see his honesty and it was obvious that he was not out for making a buck on that day but that in the future when the repairs were needed he was hoping she would return. That goes a long way in my book!)

This is definitely my worst experience with oil change at Midas. I went do oil change for my car. And they didnt do test drive this time which they did every time before. And this pad just came off when I was on the way back and it was touching the ground with extremely loud noise. I was so scared so that I turned around and slowly drove back to the shop. I went back in and asked an employee for the manager, to which he replied,"Im the manager." And I told him what happened to my car and asked him to take a look at my car, and then he send the technician who did the oil change for my car to look at it. And meanwhile I asked him did they do the test drive, the manager told me they never do the test drive for oil change. So I told him I got test drive every time I did oil change before(also the Midas store in Lansing). Then the manager told me that:" well the guy who did oil change for you before must did you a favor." Then he stopped talking to me and looking at his computer which made me felt that he didnt really care about that much. And we argued about the test drive and other things that I cant really remember, then the technician came in and the manager asked whats the issue, then the technician said:" its just couple screws losing."(this really made me mad, I mean how can you treat a problem like that! Im the person who drive the car!) Then I asked my car key from the technician, the technician answered:" its in your god damn car!" Im a international college student, and I have been in America for 5 years and this has been my most upset and angry thing that I met ever!

Brought my car in THREE separate times for brake issues. Non-stop squeaking after every service. Wouldnt provide any documentation of what was done to the car because of power surge issues. Received attitude from the manager on several occasions phone and in person - as if I was inconveniencing him or I was the one at fault. Never called me when parts had to be ordered or when the service was done on the THIRD visit. It was me the customer who had to keep calling and following up with them. Overall just horrible customer service - definitely never taking my car back there. Tons of days and countless hours wasted. Finally had to escalate it to the Regional Mgr who was very helpful. Brought my car in for the FOURTH time to the Rochester location. They actually problem solved the issue and spoke with me about it. Thank you Jim at Rochester.

do not get anything done here to your car these people are nothing but crooks. half the time when you get an oil change they wont even change it as well as the oil filter itself. the gm jeff will put on a smile to your face then lie to you about some random part that needs to be changed. and if you have no knowledge about cars at all hell make up a name of a part that will cost you hundreds and they will do nothing to your car just to get sales. these people are scam artists

Took my car in for diagnostic at 1230 they said itll be a couple hours we call at 5 to see whats going on they say its going in right now. We drive past 15 min after the call and see its still sitting in the same spot. Then they try telling me its going to be over $700 to fix it when I know the parts themselves are under $200. I dont recommend going here you do not get your moneys worth by paying more!

These guys are the best. Theres a midas less than a mile from my place, but I dont mind driving to get the quality of service these guys provide. Alex and Ben are both very knowledgable. Disregard the poor review about them being a scam. Ive never felt like Ive been ripped off here and have had numerous repairs done. Some people just dont know what they are talking about.

Took My F-150 in for a timing chain fix. They kept it six weeks and when I picked my truck up it drove even worse than before. My Brake light was on and engine light was flashing. They wanted me to bring it back but I want someone to fix it. (And not practice) Im now taking it to Skalnek Ford. They are very Professional (But) being Professional didnt get my Truck Fixed.

Buyer beware! If I could give 0 stars, I would! I bought a Groupon worth $250 for brakes and when I called to set up the appointment, I was told I was actually only saving $30 because they take the Groupon "at face value". I have NEVER experiences anything like that before. Im getting my money back from Groupon and taking my business elsewhere!!!

Honest mechanics at a reasonable price. I have been a long time customer of this Midas location with 4 of my vehicles. They stand behind there work if there is ever a problem. I have recommended these guys to my friends and family for a fair and reliable garage with good experiences had by all that have gone.

Ive had a couple decent experiences here, so that garners more than 1 star in my book. But lately its been the same story when I need an oil change; Its always Were too busy for you, come tomorrow every time I come here. On top of that, their prices are high!
