Listen, most postal workers are nice people...but it seems like there are real jerks here and there, and I think I know why. First of all, customer service is a tough job. It is stressful, monotonous, and you have to deal with stupid people and rude people. But that is pretty much how it is with any customer service job. What sets postal workers apart in the service industry, from, say, restaurant workers, and why you always seem to find these real a-holes, is that they have a more prestigious high-paying job and a more fire-proof position. It is tough to get a postal job, and they also make decent money. That will give someone a different attitude - making 50 grand as opposed to 10. And with a postal job, from what I understand, it is tougher to get fired because of unions. I am 100% in favor of unions for not only what they do for the members, but also the precedent that they set for ALL non-union workers as well. Many people dont realize that lower level government jobs not only pay less than their private sector counterpart, but also, unions benefit non-union jobs by raising the bar for the whole societys wages and benefits. But, there are always people that give them a bad name. One of them works here. She is snippy and passive aggressive, and Im not going into the details about the incident, and I am not giving her name, but when someone treats me disrespectfully in a passive aggressive way, either assuming Im not going to be astute enough to pick up on it, or for no reason other than they know they can, I get really angry. There is no reason to be abrasive or patronizing to someone for no reason other than they are upset they have to be at work. Suck it up - and do some acting like everyone else - be thankful youre not picking strawberries for 10 dollars a day. There are three women there - the other two women are fine. It is just the short white one with black hair that seems to be a bit of a prima donna.

Worst service always! I went in 5 minutes before 5pm to send a package. I waited in line for a few minutes, and the clerk gave me a form to fill out so I went to the table behind me fill out the form... About two lines before completing the form..(literally only after a few minutes..) the clerk says " you r gonna have to go to college road location because we have to close up." ??? Cant you just spare a few more minutes at work? Why did you even give me the form to fill out then?? and if you were closing up and if you saw customers in line shouldnt you stop chatting and serve the next customers?? If you didnt waste time chatting with the customer before me I probably could have made it before you closed up. Cmon USPS Lasning downtown

I have the laziest mail person!!! He refused too get out an put my neighbor or my mail in the box! 2 days in a row! Boxs are not blocked! But because he cant drive next too it because of my truck parked in front of my house. Where it is legal to park$ this has gone on for more then 2days..but i finally had enough! Do your job or find another! You get out too out a package on my porch but your fat ### wont open the door an take 2 steps if a car is on the street

we have not recived any mail in the past week nor we havent seen our mail man with in a week either we are very disapointed in our mail system it really sucks we should be getting our mail between 3:00 and 3;30 in the day time we live at 812 Bates st. Lansing Mi 48906 so if you could figure this out it would be much appreciate it thanks from Peggy MacMillan

I live at Capital Commons Senior and we have not received mail in 2 days. I happen to know that if the mail does not get delivered it is illegal. If we dont get it today, I will be forced to take legal action. I have never seen such an irresponsible government agency as is here in Lansing...the capital of Michigan. You guys should be ashamed.

Trying to reach the downtown Lansing, Michigan post office via Google search. They (the post office) do not seem to keep their websites updated since the phone number seems to have been disconnected for some time.
