Lucky to get 5mbps on their 60mbps plan (which btw is capped at 15mbps if you live in an apartment, unless you pay an extra fee that is. This is just the latest experience with them. Ive had the displeasure of dealing with their poor internet capabilities going on 4 years now. When I go in to ask what is being done to improve speeds that are 2-5mbps even during the middle of the day or first few hours of the morning (2am-4am) (aka the times at which internet should be fastest because most people are asleep or at work) they just say, "well its just a matter of how many people are on it at the same time". Really? You are telling me that a company which, if you have the 60mbps plan, guarantees 40mbps from the modem, cant maintain anything remotely close to 15mbps during the lightest internet usage times of the day? Absolute ripoff.

As far as I know the Internet service works well. However, they just increased their fee from a 12-month "promotional" rate of $39.99 to $59.99 a month. For those of you who need a math reminder, thats almost twice as much as the original rate! The customer service rep with whom I spoke kept saying the same thing over and over--"Thats our best competitive rate." even after I pointed out to him that he or someone else could do better and that if we took out the box and started all over again wed get the promotional rate again. Other companies do this without a cancellation and theres no reason Charter cant. We are customers who should be commended and rewarded for paying on-time every month without a glitch, not indifferently "handled" by an indifferent agent.

After a year of internet service, they abruptly double your monthly rates. I cancelled my service because of this, after which they promptly sent me multiple erroneous bills. Trying to speak with customer service representatives via phone was always frustrating, but each time I eventually did, the employees with whom I interacted were usually helpful.

Need to call "local" store, (50 miles away) to find about a WiFi booster. Theres not a phone number to be had. Will be calling Jamadots instead, though I have WiFi thru Charter. I hate dealing with this company. It is always a colossal pain in the butt as they continually raise my rates with the explanation that it is so to better serve me.

Charter is ridiculous they raise your rates after 12 months almost twice the amount customer service will not help you . you have to talk to two different people for new pricing and old pricing its like they get you as a customer then they dont care about you Charter please stop this madness
