Dear Spectrum, My name is Rebecca Baillie and I am a customer of yours, but I after everything that I have been through over the past five days I will not be for very much longer. Allow me to tell you a story. On Friday evening August 28, 2017 my internet stopped working. Apparently my service was never transferred like I requested when I moved to my new apartment on July 6, 2017. I had no way of knowing that the account had never been transferred to the new address because I have had internet service and have had been paying my bill without interruption until that night. It has now taken me 5 days, 22 Charter Spectrum representatives, 1 Supervisor in Retention (who should not be working with frustrated customers) 1 day off of work waiting for someone to call me back, and 8 hours of my life either on hold or repeating the same story over and over while I was bounced between Internet Repair, Billing, Sales and Retention. I have been on hold with your company for so long that I have written lyrics to both of your hold jingles. At one point I was so frustrated that I cried to two of your representatives. One compliment that I will give you is that every female in every call center that I spoke to was very helpful and I was never blind transferred. There is nothing worse than being asked by some what your problem is and having no clue how to explain it. To make matters worse I have been offered no compensation for my time and stress. I even had to correct the lady that I spoke to tonight because my billing started on July 29, 2017. My internet introductory offer has ran out and now I will be paying more than I have in the past. This does not make me want to continue with your company. I have NEVER been this disappointed in a company and I’ve had Comcast.

Most of the reviews here seem a little short sighted, which all things considered is a bit understandable when you realize that Charter is often the only service available in the area. With that said though, I believe most dont know what other services are like and therefore dont understand just how good they have it with Charter. Comparable to the many various services in both cable and internet in the past, Charter has been exceptional. Rarely has my internet service been interrupted and my cable service runs HD quality programming beautifully and consistently on 4K TV, typically the only issue arising due to issues at the electric company, not Charter. The only issues Ive found Charter to have is a seemingly outdated cable box ( in all honesty, not something where nearly all TV service providers could use some updating) and their biggest issue seems to be the telemarketing calls, I have on many, many occasions received calls to sell me services I already have and after telling them to stop, they of coarse continue. this is certainly an annoyance, but not a deal breaker. All and all Charter provides a very solid service in both cable and internet, they have been very reliable and have the best rates I have ever had access to.

Cable/internet was working fine this morning. I heard around 8am a truck backing up on our land on Tom Osborne Road. It was charter. No pole / cable there for at least 200 feet. I went outside 15 min later because I had not seen any activity, to find the charter guy resting with his eyes closed. I knocked on his window and he got startled pretty big. He was telling me that there was an issue with the internet. I told him that charter has many problems and the stuff (specifically the Internet) is always down and slow, and he better would start parking/working next to a pole instead of sleeping on somebodys private land. He got upset and said all kind of unfriendly words and excuses. He drove pretty firm of my land away from the area. I went inside watching the game with my son. 30 minutes later, the tv internet stopped working. It is now 3.5 hours later, I have been driving several times around the area, and the guy is not anywhere in the neighborhood. This is a true story of a pissed off charter guy, taking revenge with disconneting our cable/internet. Very very sad...

We moved into our home in December, however, weve now gone 4 months with no internet. Everyone in our neighborhood has Charter--even right next door and across the street....yet, for some reason, were told were not in a "serviceable area." There is simply no reason for this. Its completely illogical, and to add to our frustration, every time we call Charter, we get a different story about what can be done. To date, NO ONE has even come to the house to see for themselves what our situation looks like. Ive been extremely disappointed with how weve been treated, and IF we ever get internet, I will still never speak highly of this company or of our local office.

Their cable lines were hanging very low to the ground at my hospital. I informed them that they were not up to code with the states guidelines and they refused to fix the problem. Every semi truck and MRI trailer would scrape and pull on these lines every time a vehicle would pass under them. They still would not fix the problem. We had to get our city mayor involved and he had the lines moved. I personally had TV service with them for 6 months..... six months out of the six months my TV did not work. I do not recommend this company to anyone. The only customer base they have are people that have no other choice.

Horrible! had service two years and all of a sudden charges appear on my bill that were not mine and they refused to work with me to resolve the problem. Constant internet interruptions and even paying for higher speed struggled with having to unplug the box and plug in back in daily just to get the wifi to work. Horrible customer service!

their left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. they send one person out to fix the lines who says he cant fix it so he sends someone else who says its something else that he cant fix so they send someone different. This has happend 4 times now and has continued on for a month! Ill be cancelling my service with them.

Had a good experience with them for 2 years. Moved a mile down the road and had terrible service every night. They came out 3 times and never fixed it and then tried to tell me I could pay $200 to install better internet for $80/month. Switched to ATT for $30/month and have no complaints.

The worst company. Advertised internet at 29.95. 3 sales people wouldnt honor the advertisement; finally a fourth person did honor the ad, but when my bill came it was 39.99. Almost impossible to get anyone to cancel my account. Their customer sercice is so bad it should be illegal.

Had for a year, and finally had it. Service was terrible, it would go away all the time regardless of weather. It could be a sunny day and the cable would go out! Very limited channels, and zero customer service. Switching to Apple TV and an antenna, should save a bunch of money.
