I dont usually write negative reviews, I like praising business for great service or products. Tonight I am writing a review to let others know how I was treated when trying to report a line laying in my yard and across the highway. I contacted Century Link to report that service was down at my grandmothers house. She has a life alert and it is dependent on the phone line working. I immediately was given a message repeatedly explaining how I would be charged if it ended up being something on my end. When I eventually got through to an operator, they repeated walked through how it is an issue on my end. When I exclaimed that it wasnt on my end they put me on hold without saying anything. Completely unprofessional. Later in the night, when another operator picked up, explained my scenario again. It never seemed to bother them that I could walk out and hold the line in my hand if I wanted to. When I explained that the line was hanging off the pole and blowing on the highway they said they could send someone the following day. I understand that there can be issues, but when it takes that long to get to talk to a real person and then I get put on hold without any explanation. So tomorrow as the crews are fixing the flying cable, I will be switching phone service. I am completely disappointed with how I was treated.

If you want to pay for crappy internet, crappy customer service, and are okay with being stood up for service appointments after waiting weeks for someone to never show up, then this is for you. I cant believe how unprofessional this company is. I have every intention to take this issue up as far up as i can because we are stuck in a contract were their end of the contract is not being met. We are under contract to pay them monthly as we always have on time and they are under contract to provide a service. If this matter is not taken care of by tomorrow I will report their assess for fraud.

I was visiting my folks and the Century Link Internet was 1.1mbps upload and 0.31mbps download. This is absolute garbage. Couldnt even send a Christmas photo to my wife over Facebook messenger. Not worth $20/month, let alone the $45+/month my parents pay. If they didnt live in a rural area, Id tell them to ditch this poor service provider. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Lol, dont ever think what they promise you that you will ever get it. Dont ever buy a router from them either. Replaced this one 3 times and same issues of it overheating.
