I first went to McNeal Automotive... back in Id say 2013. I was recommended by a friend. Being a woman, I find it extremely hard to find good, honest, trustworthy shops to take my vehicle to. Most men like to take advantage of women, because a lot of women dont know squat about cars. When I first arrived, I was trying to explain to the service man at the desk what was going on with my truck. A certified technician told me to get in the truck and lets go for a ride. Never in my life have I taken my vehicle to the shop and ever once been offered this. We drove about 2 blocks down Columbia and I told him exactly when the noise started. He knew exactly what it was. He explained to me that you should never take your vehicle to a shop and explain what a noise sounds like. Ultimately, anyone would be playing a guessing game, and may fix parts on your car that really dont need to be fixed. The price was extremely good. They even went as far as to fix all my tail lights that were out, because they were concerned for my safety. Needless to say three years later I have never taken my vehicles to any other repair shop. In fact, anyone who ever asks me to recommend a shop.... my answer is always McNeals. They truly go above and beyond for their customers. They will even take you home and pick you up, so you dont have to find a ride, or sit there while they work on your vehicle. Since then I have a new vehicle. This past summer my air conditioner went out, and I needed two front control arms. I had recently went to Belle Tire, they are who I always get my tires from. They initially told me that I needed the repairs, and gave me a price. I told them that I wasnt going to be able to pay for the repairs at the time, got the print out... and made my way to McNeals the next morning. They even did such a good job on my vehicle that I made the staff two batches of cookies, from scratch. :) McNeals Automotive is trustworthy, reasonable, and they truly care about their customers. I am a repeating customer, not only because of the quality service, but the friendly faces of all the staff. Hands down this is your place for honorable, good quality work. I was having issues with my buick. McNeal Automotive is relatively close to my work and I had driven by a few times. I had already had the problem diagnosed. A relative from out of state works as a mechanic for a buick dealership and knew exactly what the issue was with my year/model and about what it should cost to have it repaired. I tend to like to test people in these situations to see if they are honest or not so I brought it in and played dumb. I was expecting the usual dog and pony show where they would try to sell me on having something done with everything under the hood, but was pleasantly surprised when they told me the exact issue I had been having. There wasnt any up sell. They didnt tell me I should look into having this or that done. They were very straightforward and honest. I was even further surprised when they told me the price I was looking at. It was a bit under what I was expecting. I havent had any further issues as of yet with my car, but when I do, I wont hesitate to bring it back to McNeal Automotive. I have since told some friends and family the same.

Ive been here a few times for various car issues, and have always been impressed. I dont know much about cars but the staff here always did there best to explain the issues to me and even show me on my vehicle what was wrong a where. One time I went in for an issue I thought I had and it turns out all I needed was new tires (which they dont sell), but they didnt try and charge me for any work or push anything on me that I didnt mean (though they did recommend and alignment, which I will go back for!) They are also very, very quick. Often times they have been able to look at my car within an hour or two of me dropping it off, and the repairs have always taken less than a day (for the few repairs I have had to have done) Overall, I would highly recommend this McNeal Automotive if you need any car repairs done, prices seem fair (although my experience is limited) and Ive always had a good experience.

I wrote a bad review on this place less than a month ago. Since then they had made the wrong right and I went out of my way to take the post down. However since then they denied service to my childrens great grandfather who is a veteran Because of what I wrote. I take full responsibility for what I wrote, he did not ask me to post it, he did not encourage me to, he didnt provoke me to. He had nothing to do with it. I apologize for what I wrote(it was before they made their wrong right) but please dont deny my childrens great grandfather service because of that. He had no idea what I did, and was completely lost about it he stated I wrote it on Facebook, not Google review. However Im grown enough to say I am sorry for the bad review, like I said they made their wrong right. But please guys, dont deny Clay Cobb service because of my actions. Thanks.

McNeal Automotive is a exceptional place, Im a Mercedes Benz owner, My car started experience several issues, Will Mcneal and his team of professionals fixed all issues below market price. I also want to mention McNeal Automotive had to purchase additional scanning equipment to diagnose my Mercedes-Benz. If I had to go to Mercedes-Benz dealer to fixed my car, I probably couldnt afford to drive a Mercedes-Benz. McNeal Automotive is one of the best Automotive business in the city, They offer 24,000 mile or 2 year warranty on Service and Parts. I live north of Flint, MI and drive to Pontiac daily for work and I drive about 130 miles a day round trip in my commute. My 92 Olds started having major performance problems when I was just a few miles away from work. Alvin and his crew are great, they were very busy but got my car in and fixed on the same day so I could drive home and not have to hitch a ride from co workers or get a rental car. They were professional, courteous and spot on in their dianosis of the problem. They came in on the estimated price and car was ready when they promised. The Olds hasnt driven this great in years! I was very impressed they are an honest, top-notch shop you dont find that very often! Thank you again!!!!
