He takes time to explain, If I do not understand he is patient. And his prices are sure less than his competition. In my opinion, he has no competition! ..........LIZ M Jun 29, 2015 I took my 1989 volvo sedan to Mr. Mechanic, which was recommend to me by a friend. What I got out of the experience was great, timely service from a knowledgeable staff who were both friendly and informative. Their pricing was quite reasonable, especially for an older car that has parts that arent easy to find nor are they cheap. I never once felt like they were trying to screw me out of more money by either overcharging or trying to fix things that werent needed. I definitely would recommend this to anyone. I got very good help with little cost, and couldnt be happier with the results!

Tony is Mr. Mechanic. From the moment you walk into the door of his shop chances are he will greet you. To get Tonys smile and good morning is to know everything will be all right. From the beginning to the end of any repair Tony and his crew does, I know that. They did the repairs on two of my cars over the past six years. He also repaired my best friends two cars over the last fifteen years. No matter the day the time, or the seriousness of the request, Tony ad his crew fielded all our concerns. Toney allows that my best friend and I consult with him when we have a question even though we have moved to Fort Wayne, IN. Given the option, we both will drive our vehicles to Mr. Mechanic in Southfield rather than have anyone local work on them. You can trust that he will tell you what needs to be fixed now, what can wait, and the consequences if recommended repairs are not needed. Mr. Mechanic is not the cheapest repair shop, nor the most expensive, but they are fair, honest, and the best.

While driving a couple days back, heard a huge clunk, then my steering felt extremely loose. I get out the truck and see that my stabilizer link had broken completely off the sway bar. The next day, called Mr. Mechanic, and the owner was quite friendly on the phone. I took my truck in, decided to get both front stabilizer links replaced and got my serpentine belt replaced as well. Not only was the truck fixed quickly, but was thoroughly inspected, and a job well done on the front suspension! Truck rides perfectly now. I will even come back to this place to have some aftermarket parts installed I just ordered. A++++ Experiece, Tony is awesome, and will have you on the road, safely in no time. Also, random tid-bit, I love that the owner is a huge Formula 1 racing fan. For those who dont know, its the most mechanically demanding sport in the world! As good as Tony and his guys are, I could see them working on multi-million dollar F1 race cars, and making even the best drivers in the world happy :)

Very poor customer service, only took my car to them because the dealer recommended them. Took my car in several times in early December 2014. Part was supposedly ordered. On February 6, 2015 I called Tony at Mr. Mechanic because I hadnt received a call back. Tony informed me he needed to track down my paper work and he would call me back. Well on February 11, 2015 I called Tony back because of course I hadnt received a call. I guess he finally ordered the part 2 months after he was suppose to. Now I can bring my car in. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. They are filled with empty promises and never return phone calls. I also notice that Tony goes in and comments on all the customers who were disappointed. I cant wait too see what you come up with on the service I received. Im a business owner as well and usually when I make a mistake, I apology instead of trying to look like im perfect. Everybody makes mistakes so take responsibility for you mistakes.

I had my car towed to Mr. Mechanic to have something with the transmission repaired and was because of the issue with the transmission it had something to do with wiring issues. When I got my car back there was not heat and the radio was gone, the owner refused to address the issues.... The issue of no heat is apparent that it is because of the wiring they supposedly fixed. In the inside of the car where the wiring need to be done the parts are missing. I was not the person who picked up the car however when I seen it, I went crazy because this was missing I called first he said he will check and call me back... that never happen I had to call him several times until the next day in which he said he is not sure what happen to the radio. I need receipt and he refused to give it to... Told me he would see me in court...... Please do take you car there, or check everything before you leave... terrible customer by the manager/owner Tony.

From the moment I walked in the door at Mr. Mechanic, I was happily greeted! Not often are good first impressions personified in business nowadays and wow, what a great experience I received and they hadnt even fixed my vehicle yet. When I stepped in the door, I felt comfortable. After being quoted astronomical amounts of money just to look at my issues at a dealer down the street, the folks here at Mr. Mechanic were able to identify my concerns without charge, and offer a quote to remedy the issues. After paying for the same issue twice at a different auto mechanic, the gentleman at Mr. Mechanic went further into making sure there wasnt a short in the wiring of my headlight. Even the customer, who was in the shop, vouched on how great this place is. It just feels good to know there is a place for all of my automobile concerns! Thanks Mr. Mechanic!

My wife and I have been using Mr. Mechanic for our personal and business vehicles for 12 years. Heres why: 1. Labor rates are reasonable and fairly counted. 2. Tony, the owner, and the 3 mechanics have been around for many years at this location. There is no revolving door of mechanics here, which is a telltale sign that this workplace has a good work/life balance for its people. 3. Youll get an honest answer from them. This is important because, like a dentist, you are there to fix something that is broken and you already know its going to cost you some money. Tony will work with you on options. 4. Their business philosophy has a vision and a long-term approach. They clearly want you to come back and thats the respect you will get. 5. In the summer Tony has a few pots of cherry tomatoes out front and hell let you snack on them.
