I changed our address on July 3, 2017. Our scheduled forward date was July 7, 2017. Today is July 22, 2017 and we still have not received any of our mail so I talked to our mail carrier. He says hes been returning our mail to the sender because we live on a street where our mail boxes have to be mounted at the street and that even if theres a box attached to the house they wont get their LAZY TAILS out of the mail truck to deliver our mail. So what exactly are you getting paid for? I let him know that there was mail addressed to the previous tenant in the box attached to the house when we moved here so is this a preference or a policy where you dont deliver mail unless theres a box at the street? He says its a policy and to discuss it with his manager. I go up to the post office and speak to the supervisor, he says theres nothing that can be done. I just have to buy a mail box and put it at the street. Im pissed the hell off because there is no way for me to determine who has sent us mail. We have bills and important mail that gets sent daily. Mail that needs to be delivered. The manager said that there may have been disabled tenants that lived here prior to us who couldnt get to the mail box so an exception was made. I understand that but why wouldnt you leave a note or something so we know that instead of just returning our mail. A simple warning that read get a box or your mail will be returned. SOMETHING. People are not human nor descent anymore and no one wants to do their jobs. Customer service isnt even a thing now. This is ridiculous. So now at 40 weeks pregnant due to deliver my son tomorrow I have to put in a hold mail request and PICK UP MY MAIL until we can get a box. UN FREAKIN BELIEVABLE. These are the kind of workers who work at the post offices these days. SOMETHING needs to be done about this.

I mailed a package 9 days ago and insured it - just in case. The estimated arrival came and went, so I began searching for it. I first used the automated tracking service, I then called Cus. Service which doesnt allow you to speak to a human. The only record of my package shows that it was scanned during the time I was there paying for it - there is no other indication of where my package is. I called directly into the SFD branch and was told that because I sent it standard mail, I may never know what happened to it, the rep also said that it may have been tossed aside and could be found at any point. I was advised to file a claim after 30-60 days. When I said "WHAT??" the rep then said " well, really 30 days", in the most cavalier manner. There are several fundamental problems with this issue: 1) what good is a tracking service if it doesnt track? 2)the post office set the price, I paid it with the agreement that for my money they would provide a service by a certain date - they failed on all fronts. 3) No apology, no concern, just a nonchalant attitude towards me - and theyre the ones that didnt hold up to their end of the agreement. 4) And what about a refund for not delivering on any part of what was expected? I have begun transitioning everything to e-bills, e-payments, email and at every possible opportunity, I will attempt to use services other than the USPS.

This post office is horrible!!!! I REPEAT HORRIBLE! They could care less about you getting someone elses mail and not receiving your mail! Online packages misdelivered to other residences! By the way I forgot to mention if you reside in an apartment which this postal zone is majority apartment living well count on you not receiving online packages and receiving other peoples bills, checks etc. I even went to the location and still they absolutely can careless about their actions as a company. I called and advised the supervisor of my package not delivered to me and not in box but showing delivered online. THE SUPERVISOR SAID SHE HAS TO GO AND "TALK" to the people that worked on that route cause the normal girl went home early!!! Now I ALWAYS GET MAIL MISDELIVERED SO WETHER SHE WENT HOME EARLY OR NOT DOESNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE! On top of that the SUPERVISOR SAID IT WILL BE AN HOUR OR TWO BEFORE SHE CALLS ME BACK??? Why cant they just send someone to check all the parcel boxes to locate my Package before someone else steals it!!!! Im just outdone!!!!!!!!!I cant wait to move just so I can start receiving my mail as I should! Im buying a post office box in Farmington hills just to guarantee I will receive all my Mail/packages moving forward!

I admit I was expecting horrible service because of the below 2 star rating. When you see that you just dont expect to encounter 5 star people. This staff will forever remind me not to invest so much into what others say. This staff was incredible. I went in hoping to pick up a pkg that was scheduled to be delivered. They could have turned me away. Not only did they not turn me away but 2 people invested in my satisfaction and teamed up to go digging through big bins of boxes to find mine. They didnt even know if it was there or on the truck. They spent 10 mins or more digging through boxes so I would receive what I came in for. On top of that everyone was smiling, and talkative. They were nice to customers and to themselves. My experience was outstanding. I asked to speak with a supervisor to pay compliments to such a great environment. Meeting her showed me why the staff was dynamite. She was one of those people you imagine never has a bad day simply because she chooses joy, over pain. Great job. Thank you again for valuing my need, and being so welcoming.

I mail two cards right at the Sthfld. Post Office inside box with .90 cent postage on 01-13-13 one of the cards reached its destination on 01-15-13 and the other never did. I went directly to that post office on 01-22-13 at 1605 hours and the ONE and only person they said I could speak with went home at 1600 hours. Well the lady at the pick up/pass port line told me to leave my information and she would have that person call me, I am still waiting on her to call me and I tried calling that number and everyone is right you cannot speak to a live person. HONESTY and righteousness seems to have no place in some work places. I go to the post office a lot to buy stamps and other articles so that the live person can keep their job at the post office, and this is the thanks I get. There is no Customer Service ANYMORE

The absolute worse service ever...every single encounter. The mail carrier does not ring your bell to notify you that you have a package. She simply leaves the "sorry we missed you" sheet in your box. The many times that I have caught her doing that without even ringing my bell (I only knew because I was tracking the package and received a text message), she addressed me with an attitude because I interrupted her usual phone conversation causing her to pause her conversation to obtain my packages from the mail truck. After calling the Southfield post office to speak with a supervisor regarding my repetitious unpleasant and unprofessional encounters with the mail carrier, the supervisor was even more unpleasant and unprofessional. Terrible!
