Now that I have read these reviews I believe what my wife has been suspecting. She has said many times that "they" art not delivering our mail. They, meaning the mail carriers. "Nonsense I say," they cant just not deliver our mail? Well now that we have found that our home has gone into foreclosure and the Redford Township has purchased it, I am now a believer. Redford Township stands claims that we were properly served by normal mail and registered mail. How could we not know that our home had gone from "pending foreclosure" and skipped all the way to foreclosed upon and sold without our knowledge. We We knew we had to get our back taxes pain, but never were alerted by the registered mail they claim they sent us. Not only did the mail delivery system fail us, but so did the procedure of notifying us of the actual foreclosure. If our mail carriers can mess up so can those appointed to stick important information to a house. Wayne county claims to have sent these letters on specific dates, but will not disclose that information. We had to fill out a Freedom of Information Act form. It seems too convenient for the Township to by my home which I paid cash for several years ago for three years of back taxes. I begged Redford to let me pay them back on the spot the day I found out I no longer owned it. No, sorry. Well I am now ranting on another government matter. So from the 27 reviews, just imagine how many other complaints never go public.

I sent a rebate offer in and it was to a post office box at this station. It was clearly written and came back undeliverable. I called the rebate center and they told me I was the 5th person this happened to, so they gave me an address. I enclosed the original envelope, as they suggested, and it was delivered to the WRONG address about 3 miles away. How did I discover this? The lady at the address it was sent to, opened it and called me. I went to her house and picked the rebate envelope up and was going to personally delver to the correct and legible address on the envelope. Guess what? The rebate center was at the same facility as the post office on Beech Daly. IRONIC, huh. So I went inside the PO and found the original PO Box that was undeliverable. I then walked over to the rebate center, about 60 feet from the post office entrance and delivered my letter. Thank you to the lady that called me. DONT TRUST THE USPS WITH ANYTHING VALUABLE OR PRIVATE.

it is really hard to understand why if a package is already taken to long to get to you why the post office is so uncooperative with it customers. I am already upset that it came through the regulate mail when it was supposed come 2 day mail. then you have to deal with those people who just dont seem to understand you all, or really just dont care. i truly believe its the later. Im just so upset with all the things about this shipment. but through it all Redford post office seems to be the worst that i have encounter by far. the rest seem to be trying to get me to the package. Redford is just open your business if you want your package.Never mind its only 8 days late already and that you have other things planned . and you dont normally take time away from work. But the first time you do that cannot work with you anyway. HOW SAD IT IS THAT THEY HAVE NO COMPASSION!!!!!!! FOR PEOPLE!!!!!!!!.

Customer service is HORRIBLE. I missed a call for them about missing info on my package. Called back & was put on hold for 10 mins. Called again and was quickly rushed off the phone with "carriers are out already" So i explained that I just got a call not even 30 minutes ago about my mail. I was put on hold for another 10 & told it would be out today. Tracking info says it Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available). I told her I was available all day. She said "Well it was a snow day , people didnt shovel , the carriers couldnt park". So basically they LIE on their tracking information. I watched the carrier a block ahead of my home that day but he never made it to my home. Im so tired of having issues with this postal office. I really cant wait to move. Filed a complaint online the last time I had a problem. Still dealing with the same poor attitudes and poor service.

I have been Redford Twp resident for almost 20 years, and so appreciate the fact that the post office is open nearly 24 hours/day. I have gone in to this post office location on dozens of occasions, usually after working hours, to mail packages. Sometimes there is a long line. Sometimes not. Either way, I have never had anything but prompt, friendly, and courteous service. I have not had a single experience of a postal worker treating me poorly, or being disrespectful. Quite the opposite. As far as mail carriers at my home, I have had several over the years. Some have been better than others. One was exceptional, and I was sad to see him retire. My current is just okay. Sometimes she misses mail that I leave in the box to be sent out, but I am sure they are not used to seeing outgoing mail much anymore.

The workers are rude. Every time I go in they treat you terribly. Youre treated like a 5 year old with every question you ask. Eyes rolled, talked down to, etc. Then you have the mail carriers who 70% of the time wont deliver your mail. Or if its delivered its scattered across your lawn. Even today, Ive been home all morning with my front door open. I watched the carrier walk right by my home from my front door, as well as my neighbors. Assuming she may be on a different route I didnt say anything. I checked tracking on a package I was waiting on and low and behold hold it was scanned as "notice left (receptacle blocked)". Yes, b/c my door being open is blocking it. Heaven forbid they have to knock!

HORRIBLE. I had to sign for a package and the carrier did not knock or ring door bell so the package went back to the post office. After 11 days they sent me a notice so I scheduled for redelivery for 3 days because my package was never delivered. The employee who answered the phone was the same lady for all 3 days that I called and she was very rude and inconsiderate. They eventually sent back my one of a kind gift that I had made and waited for 2 months to receive, but never got. I could not pick it up because my leg was broken, which I explained to the secretary. WORST CLERKS EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I read these reviews before I ran up to the post office last night. Only 3 other customers were there but there was an employee standing in the lobby area. He actually approached me and asked if he could help. He said that the woman behind the counter would be happy to assist me. The lady behind the counter was extremely helpful. We were in and out in just a couple of minutes. The workers were smiling and friendly. I dont know what was going on but maybe they are trying to make an effort not to have those negative comments. It was kind of eerie but was honestly a great experience!
