Had an accident front passenger tire got hit and bent inwards and some body damage. Nothing real bad. Had it towed to abra in apple valley because accident happened close to them Met with Kevin and he gave quote. I told him to fix it. I Said anything that looks like it may need to be fix, just fix it, struts, tire, fix it so everything is good. Got a call that it was fixed, went and picked it up. Got there just before closing. Left shop and drove home. On way home car pulled to left and felt funny. Got home and checked tires, i could move the passenger tire by hand, figured it must be the struts or somthing. Called up kevin next day and he said bring it in we will take a look. Got it back to abra a few days later and they looked at it and yep a loose strut. I was thinking how does a mechanic miss this, tire can move on ground, they should have easily noticed it in the air. Weird especially when everything should have been replaced on that whole side anyways, but hay things get missed, no problem. The steering wheel was making a noise Also and told kevin about it to take look at it. They fixed the car and went to pick it up. Asked if they figured out what was up with the steering wheel, Kevin said they didnt really know but his mechanic said it was no big deal. I asked if it was any safety issues and they said no, it just makes some noise when you turn. We even took it for a drive so he could hear the noise, no big deal. I said fine, I use the car as a work vehicle so a little noise is not a big deal to me, as long as it is safe. Fast forward couple months and noise in wheel is bothering me, just because somthing doesnt feel or sound right. So I was need of an oil change and figured I would take it to a repair shop , get oil change and have them see if they could figure out the noise. ( I should have done this right away but kevin said his mechanic said it was no big deal and safe, o well) two days before my oil change I was parking my car and wheel started making loud noises, got it parked and went to work. After work tried pulling out of spot and tires not moving. Couple people I work with looked at it and figured it was the rack and pinion went out, guess we now know what the noise was. I was just lucky this didnt go out while I was driving on the road Ok, gets interesting now. Miss next day at work because have to get another car and figure out were to tow my car to. I decide to have it towed to mnpls abra because they were near by and wanted to keep all work with abra. (In case ever a warranty issue) I went talked to them and said my rack and pinion went out and need it fixed. The lady at the desk said they dont do mechanic work, only body work. I was like o, really, I did not know that, I asked about the apple valley abra, she said they were also only a body shop, then told me only a few abras did it all. Took it to abra in Eagan and had them fix it, they are a mechanical shop. They did a great job, and I believe that if my car would have been there from the Beginning they would have fixed it right. Went back to Apple valley abra to talk with Kevin and get some information. Was told that kevin no longer worked at that one and got moved, I asked were to and just got a blank stare. I then spoke to another person about the work done on my car and who did, because they are not a mechanical shop. He said that the guy that did the work use to work for ford and had plenty of experience. I asked if he was a certified mechanic, he responded that he was, but I kind of doubt it. I should have asked to see a certificate. I paid full price to get my car fixed by a shop thats not a mechanical shop, heck I got buddies that were willing to fix it for half the price. this does explain why they never fixed the strut that clearly was bad and couldnt figure out the steering wheel noise. my insurance company would have paid to have it towed anywhere also. I would have had it towed to Eagan if kevin from the Beginning would have told me that they are not a mechanic shop. Just wish they were honest from beginning.

Scheduled through my insurance company for a 1-4 pm appointment window. I get a call at 2 pm on the day of the appointment from ABRA stating they were calling to setup an appointment. When i told them I had an appointment and it was now they stated it wasnt their appointment and would I like to setup an appointment with them. I see this as extremely poor customer service. Had they called in the morning I would have not taken off work. The response I received was they could setup a real appointment for 3 days from now if I would like. They may do great work, I went with another company but scheduling through the insurance company again. This time though I called them after scheduling online and they said they received it and would be out in 2 days. I am thinking my issue was not related to the insurance company.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I allowed my insurance company to use Abra after an accident. It was close and I thought theyd be just as good as any where else. It took them two weeks to do the repairs, there was always some sort of delay, Blah, blah, were sorry...blah, blah.... They did not do the alignment correctly and months later I was looking at my tires and they were all worn oddly. I went to the tire place and they explained that I had whats called cupping due to the misalignment. I took it back to Abra and they, Terry, realigned it, blamed it on me and refused to replace my worn tires. I am now working with my insurance company but none of this has been easy. Save yourself and your car and go with ANYONE else. They are garbage and DO NOT stand behind their work. They are just another dirty business!

They were great with my car and held on to it for me until I was able to clear it out. The only problem I had was when they tried to contact me. They had called me 3 times, which I never got because they were having issues with their phone lines. They could have found a way to get ahold of me by calling my insurance and getting my email or having my insurance get a hold of me. Other than that, theyre very professional and were quick to get me a quote for the damage on my car.

Fixed my car, didnt get it right with insurance, threatened to send account to collections instead of getting money from persons insurance who hit me. Payments been a mess. Liberty mutual is as much to blame but they should be experienced with this scenario

They did a great job!! My car was ready ahead of schedule. Body and paint are a perfect match!! The blonde at the front desk, was very nice and personable. Will definitely bring my car back to the Apple Valley Abra!!
