Brought my car in a few weeks ago because my air compressor was worn out and I didnt want to drive it far, so that was the closest shop and they took it in looked at it agreed that it was going to be the air compressor that needed fixing so they did that and the belt at a REALLY high price and so they fixed it and I brought it home to look at the work because I know my way around a car pretty well and wanted to make sure it was done right and they did the air compressor fine but the belt they had said they had changed and charged me for wasnt changed. I dont know how you take an old belt with cracks in it and put it on the car again and think thats the new one but when I called back they said the technician forgot to do it, witch is stupid on his part but also the fact that no one checks the work!!!! I understand that mistakes happen sometimes but their work needs to be checked. So I brought the car back in and they put the new one on free of charge, like it should be! but it was a hassle for me to make time to bring the car back and have the work redone. I think they might mean well even though they tried to over sell. I get why they try that, because you need to make money but if you say your going to do something and charge them for it do it!! They also never told me when things were going to get done. They told me at the time the car would be done tomorrow so tomorrow rolls around..., never got a call from them the next day ?! so I called before they closed and said oops sorry havent got the part yet... uhhh would have been nice to get the call telling me that! For the work they did and the effort they dont put into their work they charge way to much for any of their work. If your looking for a place to trust at a reasonable price your in the wrong place!! I dont go to a mechanic for customer service (even though the friendliness was good)I just wanted my car fixed right for the right price!!! and to at least get more then uhhhh oops we messed up on a 700 dollar visit and you have to waist more time and come back. A little bit more then a realization that they messed up would have been nice especially for the money I paid. It might be a good place to go if you know nothing about cars and they will tell you exactly whats wrong but you pay a price for that and the work doesnt even get done. Im thankful that they did fix everything in the end, but Im never bringing a car back their and will make sure anytime someone askes where to bring their car it wont be there.

Doug and his staff are awesome! Before I started going to Apple Valley Car Clinic, I would always call my dad to approve any work beyond an oil change, because many of the mechanics I was dealing with would try to convince me to do unnecessary work. I no longer need to consult with my dad. Doug is very honest about what needs to be done when and is good at helping people balance doing necessary maintenance and keeping costs down. He can help prioritize what needs to be done first if you cant afford 100% of his recommendations. I cant recommend him enough.

Told me my water pipe needed to be replaced, I was quoted a higher price than another mechanic. Took my car to the cheaper mechanic and found out that no, my water pipe did not need to be replaced. Two years later I shop here for a battery replacement. The battery was dead in less than a year, I bet they sold me an old battery. These people are crooks, avoid.

I have worked with Doug and his team for multiple years with multiple cars. They are consistently honest, communicative and do a great job servicing the vehicles we bring in (a BMA and 2 Toyotas). Weve had everything from simple oil changes to complex repair work done. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone needing repair work done.
