Usually I go to the Burnsville Firestone, but I was planning to be near this one so I thought Id try it. I called at 11 and made an appointment to get my oil changed at 2. I drove down there and walked in on time. While I stood at the counter some guy was typing at a computer in the back and would periodically look up, but he wouldnt say anything. I figured he wasnt trained to handle sales, so I didnt bother him at first, but no one else was there. So I got his attention and he said, "Yeah, just leave your keys there and well take care of it." "Take care of what?" I thought, "I havent even told you what I want done to my car yet." I said, "Dont you want to know which car is mine?" "Oh, yeah" he said. I told him which one it was and left my keys on the counter. I sat there in the waiting area, not wanting to go far since I wondered how the sales guy was going to figure out the keys on the counter were mine and which service I needed. A few people came and went from behind the counter while I was waiting with two other customers. Its about 2:20 by this point, so I go up to the counter again and ask a different guy (probably the salesperson) if I can get some help. I told him I was scheduled for an oil change at 2:00 and he checked the computer and said, "Ok, leave your keys here on the counter." I wanted to know how much it was going to cost and how long it would take so I could go next door and get some lunch. He said it wouldnt take longer than 45 minutes and Id be okay to leave. So I went and got some lunch and came back exactly 45 minutes later. I saw my car out front and went in to pay. When I got up to the counter I told the guy I was ready to settle up. He looked up the invoice and asked, "Whats your time looking like?" I asked why, "We havent brought it in yet." I told him to forget it. Awful experience all-around.

This location attempted to stack additional "repairs" onto my service. Took my 08 Honda Odyssey for rear brake pad replacement. Having just taken it to Buerkle Honda a month before, this was the only repair needed (per the dealership). While waiting for the inspection to be completed, I noticed that of the 3 people who were paying for their service, all 3 coincidentally needed an air filter replaced as well as the windshield wipers replaced. When this location performed their inspection (by Donald Nelson), it was determined that the van needed: Brake Pad Replacement (agreed) Rotor Replacement (although the dealership indicated that the rotors were fine one month ago and the pads would need to be replaced eventually) Flush Brake System (just done by dealership a month ago when front brakes were replaced) Wiper Blades (wife just had $30 Bosch blades installed 2 weeks ago) Fuel System Cleaning (just done by dealership a month ago) Air Filter (also just replaced on last service at the dealership a month ago) When I asked the sales associate (the guy selected Ed as the sales associate in their system, but the name Dave appears as the Service Advisor - not sure of the guys name) to explain to me how the wiper blades and other items needed replacing when the dealership indicated that there was no need or had just replaced the item, he became very argumentative. He began grasping at other potential causes for the "issues" they identified. One statement regarding the rotors was "the factory rotors are really light and small in order to lighten the weight of the vehicle and improve gas mileage, so they practically need replacing when they are put on." I would not take any vehichle to this location unless you would like to pay for repairs that are unneeded or you would like to have a sales associate argue with you.

For the person who says it is under new management and everyone is polite, is lying to you! I drove 111.000 miles on my original set of tires. I bought 4 brand new tires from them, I did not want an alignment because nothing was wrong to begin with. All my old tires wore properly. I was told that if I dont the tire mileage warranty would not apply, so I paid for an alignment. WORST thing ever! When I picked up my vehicle my steering wheel was way off to the left, I didnt make it a block. In the next hour my vehicle was aligned 3 more times and they said its all good. My two front tires are shot and cupped, the front right tire is so far off that it has warn a 1/4 more than the other three. I took it to them and was fed every excuse in the book on how it was my fault. I have been there 2 times trying to get them to fix their mistake, no such luck. Their answer right from the manager was "if I get a reimbursement, then you get a reimbursement". "If I dont you wont". I can not even put my vehicle if four wheel drive, if I do it darts all over the road and is uncontrollable. STAY AWAY from this horrible establishment..

I came in with a pin-hole in my tire. An hour later the mechanic said that he fixed the severe bead leak. He didnt even look for a pin-hole, and I know for a fact there was not a bead leak. So, another half hour later, they send me on my way. I get in my car and the brakes barely work. When I go in to inquire as to why, they say that it was "well documented," and that there was no way they had anything to do with it. So, youre telling me theres no way this mechanic, who was incompetent enough to fix something that wasnt broken, and to completely miss the thing that was broken, youre telling me theres no way he could have messed something else up? Also, this "well documented" issue was written in a different pen than the other documented issues.

The last review is no longer appropriate. 08/13/2008 Posted by vcjohns This store is now under new Management and is an entirely different store. Their staff is polite and responsive to your requests. The work is done quickly and is not overpriced. This change took place in February of 2008. They do give your car an inspection and will advise you of anything they see that may need repair but do not pressure you to purchase anything other than what you came in for. I have had my car in for service on 2 occasions under the new management and do not plan to go back to my car dealership for anything other than major engine work. I highly recommend this store and do recommend it to all my friends. Ask for Tom at the store.

They did not do the courtesy check properly, they did not let us know that there was any lights out or that the brake fluid needed to be flushed because there were supposedly 300 copper parts per million. I am sure that they did not even do this. Matt Bloom was not anywhere near a person that I would come back for. He lied to me and he sat there arguing with a customer when my mom and I were in the store as well as another customer sitting down. They didnt even write down that the service engine light was on. Also I told them to put high mileage in the car and they did not. This is BY FAR the WORST service I have had EVER.
