I had a terrible experience with the Firestone Complete Auto Care at 8630 University Ave NW, Minneapolis, MN 55448. Ive gone there quite a few times in the past year since moving to Minnesota and prior to this have had positive and friendly experiences in general - oil change, control arm replacement, new tires, etc. I took my car in for a brake repair several months ago. Less than a month after that, when driving home, my front driver side wheel fell off. Completely. The lug nuts had loosened and fallen off. I took it in to the same Firestone that had done the brake job. I was told they would repair everything free of charge but it was certainly not their fault. I was given different impressions from different people ("Well it wasnt us" "This is really a worst case scenario for us" "These things happen - you understand, we understand"). Regardless, they got my car road worthy and told me they had ordered a fender and it would be in by the weekend. Several days later I started hearing a scraping sort of noise from my passenger side wheels - I could hear one of the wheels turning and the noise was getting louder the longer I drove. When I looked at the wheels the back passenger side wheel was much hotter than all the others. I called Firestone and asked if I could have them look at it. I thought I was probably being paranoid but it was better to check it. I brought it in that evening and explained what I had heard and felt happening, they said the heat was from being in stop and go traffic, didnt check anything on the car and re-tightened the lug nuts on the wheels. The noise persisted, and I asked a mechanic friend to check it for me as well. He immediately found that the caliper had gotten stuck in a locked position on the rear passenger side wheel, and it had likely ruined other parts of the car (rotor, etc.). He recommended I not even drive it home and said he would feel unsafe doing so. The employees at Firestone didnt tighten the lug nuts properly. They did not check the wheel when I brought it in. They assumed I was overreacting or imagining it (because I am a young woman maybe), and sent me out again with a car that wasnt safe to drive. It has been a month and after checking about the fender when it didnt arrive (twice) when they said it would - they said they would call me when the part came in. I still have received no call. I am extremely unhappy with the service there. I will not take any car back, and I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone who isnt familiar with car problems. I couldve gotten in an accident and hurt someone, twice, due to their negligence. This was a dangerous situation they did not take seriously.

Much thanks to the Blaine staff for the fantastic service they provided on 3/20/14. My car had a heating issue,and with our never-ending winter,I preferred a working heater.I explained what was happening, and a diagnostic was recommended.I was given a time frame in which to return. I was called back sooner than anticipated with good,and not so good,news.Not so good was the diagnostic results..Each staff member involved shared their opinion with me.I was part of the decision making process. Something I have not previously experienced at an auto service center.Good news was I was not charged for the diagnostic! They have their mind made up from he first phone call that you will need something huge repaired. Unfortunately have had things repaired there too often. I spent over $2000 in repairs - one of my concerns was my check engine light. I started up the vehicle and it was still on. They pulled it in, unplugged my battery and said it just needed to be reset. Made it 1/2 mile from shop and came back on....i refuse to go back. When I was quoted such a high price, one of their workers actually put a piece of paper with their phone number on it, offering to do it for cheaper!

I will never bring my car to firestone ever agen went to get a alignment done and I was told I would need all new struts and I was charged for this service so I had put it off to save up the money wrecking the tires in the meen time finely came up with the money to do the work I have taken it to a different shop the had fixed the car and the struts were fine!!! Real good work firestone way to rip people off!!!!!!!!!!!! you almost got me for over $600.00 glad I went somewhere else.....

I bought 4 tires from this place about 3 months ago. Went in today for my first rotate. Called ahead and he said he could get me in in about 10 minutes. I showed up on time and the short chubby bald Guy acted surprised and annoyed like I was an inconvenience. I told him we could go up the street if its a problem and then he got really ornry. Dont waste your time with this place. Rude! Buy from someone who appreciates your business.

These guys are going to give you super fast service and good advice on you car. They will sincerely help you troubleshoot problems. One of the guys there came up with a solution to fix my car better than what i had asked for and saved me money. I will always refer people to this firestone and will come here for any maintenance for my car.

I was helped by dominic and pam on a saturday, late in the afternoon. They had to drive to another store to get tues in the right size for my car. They did the mounting, balance and an alignment in record time. Im a picky customer, careful about how the weights are tacked on and so on. The service was excellent.

Balanced my tires for a vibration, but didnt bother checking air pressure. My TPMS warning light went off later that day and I had to add air to my low tires! They also didnt fix the vibration and wrote it off to wet roads as to why it couldnt be properly test driven. Disappointed.

I got a flat just outside their shop (500ft) so naturally I tried to get it repaired. I was turned away because they were too busy. Had to call a tow truck from a tire shop. Not bad service...no service at all actually, but probably will never go back.

really bad customer services the people who work are really good but the front desk people are extremely bad me and my family are always there and we always face the samw problem if they stay like that im not coming there anymore

Absolutely terrible customer service. Made a simple appointment for oil change, get there and nothing on record. Even tried to say I had the wrong phone number for the store. No compensation. Never going back to this store

Horrible experience here got a oil change done recently and tech didnt even tighten the plug all the way. Also bought tires and went in for a rebalance they said the balanced them never even seen them take the tires off!

Have not had an issue with them yet. Have taken my car there twice. They are prompt and thorough. Their service is relatively fast. They have free WiFi and a neat phone charger in their lobby.
